I have been listening to Jethro tull for 50 years .. and I still have new emotions Thank you for existing Mr. Ian Anderson
Me too..im 61..part of the musical tapestry of my life
🎶🙏❤ I played the flute.
Ian Anderson's flute, Neil Young's harmonica, Clearence Clemmons' sax ... the voice of God ..
really don't mind if you sit this one out......
well said!!
Ian Anderson is a musical and lyrical genius. And Jethro tull one of the greatest bands you will ever hear.
I've not listened to this tune in at least 30 yrs. But this morning, upon waking, it was ringing in my head, wth. I proceeded to sing it in the shower, remembering almost every word. Wow. True story.
The entire Aqualung album is a timeless classic. I get nostalgic with my school days.
Amazing,as always!!! Ladies and Gentlemen...we are talking about a Legend: Jethro Tull 4 ever!!!! 🤟🏻❤️✨👑✨‼️
OMG, which one is Jethro? I only know Jethro Bodine.
Ian Anderson 🤷♂️🎶😎
To the members of Jethro Tull, thank you for your giving so much of yourselves I have been a great fan of your music since I bought and fell in love with the album , " Thick As A Brick.".
Better albums before and after taab :)
Well said, Steve and Riyed!
First record album I ever bought was Aqualung (in quadraphonic!). Now I have a rather large Tullian collection.
Saw taab 1 and 2 twice, two nights apart the summer of 2’s release. I had always been sad not to have seen taab bc I was “too young for rock concerts” when it was released. Kudos to IA for bringing back “1” and performing it in its entirety with the release of “2”! Kudos also for the energy and dedication IA always put into every performance, from an ever-grateful fan.
Wow - even with his shot voice, Ian absolutely nailed the vocal tone of the original song. Nostalgia right there.
Absolutely one of the greatest bands of all-time. And probably the most underrated.
Sadly most people only know the radio songs... aqualung, locomotive breath...etc... Minstrel in the gallery was one of my favorite albums.. cold wind to Valhalla and baker st muse never got much airplay.
@@clescell6587 True!
@SilentBob731 They were never underrated !
@@vimfuego8827 Ask the average person to name more than a song or two.
@@SilentBob731 The average person in my experience can name several, but then again I am in the UK and they are extremely well known here 🙂
This is quite brilliant. Always loved Ian’s writing style and his approach to the flute. Great sounding band.
After all the decades, TULL always sounds fresh.
How is Tull not in the R&R Hall of Fame? Someone needs to serve time for this crime.
What a great way to start the morning here in New York ❣
What a fantastic performance to get to see! I love seeing the communication between everyone on stage, and the way that the song wasn't changed, but morphed into a unique thing via the altered instrumentation. Meticulous, and simply gorgeous. Prime Tull!
I played the flute because he made it cool..Part of the musical fabric of my life..
💚🍻🎶🙏❤
I've been a Tull fan since 1968 when I bought their first album this was
He is one of a kind artist
Grown up with this music (born 1981).
Childhood memories.
Thanks dad🥰
This was a great lineup of Tull.
Amazing!!! Beautiful!!!! Thanks a lot...when you think that a marvellous song can't be better..here you are !!! Thanks!!!
Wundervolle Version von Mother Goose! Dank an die Band, Dank an Ian Anderson!
Anyone out there who can describe this legend’s music? English folk, pagan rock, progressive, traditional. I have idea how to describe such a huge body of work from this legend. 🙌🙌🙌🙌👌❤️
Call it just wonder. A wholel cup of wonder. 👍
I’ve always just called it great story telling music
Fucking awesome?
I've been a fan since I first heard "Teacher" on WMMR 93.3 MHz Philadelphia in 1970.
I used to listen to WMMR in Philadelphia. That was way back in the seventies. I live in Tennessee now. Go up to Nashville to concerts as often as I can. I used to live about 60 miles west of Philly. Born and raised up there. Been to many concerts at the Spectrum including Jethro Tull. Also saw Jethro Tull at Hersheypark Arena on the Warchild tour.
my nickname at school was "Tully " first record I purchased was Life is a long song. Tully is now 65 and still liking this band thank you IA good to see Martin B legend xx
They were my first concert
Saw Ian and his new merry band 2 years ago at the Ryman in Nashville. Saw them in 1976 at the Municipal in Nashville (actually the Miserable Auditorium). New crew but same great exquisite sound.....loved them then and now.
Beautiful 😍 😘 😍 😘
Real shame about Ian losing his voice. It saddens me to see this happen to him. Great rendition nonetheless.
My cousin turned me on to Jethro Tull 40 years ago. Ive been a huge fan ever since. Mother goose, Auqualung & Locomotive breath had me hooked.
There are effective herbal medicines that he could try. He plays the flute ok, so his lungs are fine. It's his voice cords that have weakened and need rejuvenating.
Great rendition nonetheless. :) Fortunately there are excellent records while his voice was powerful and divine.
Even without his voice at its peak, Ian still does well here... and his flute playing is still sublime as always.
A lifetime of chain smoking and COPD...and yeah, it's a shame.
Good luck! And good show! Mr. Anderson!!
Oh my. I've adored Anderson since I was a teen. ✨🔥✨
One of my favorite all time albums is Tull’s Thick as a Brick! I still listen to it today and never get bored with it!
This is my all time favorite from Jethro Tull.
Can not wait :)
Erstklassig, wunderschön und zeitlos. 10 Sterne von 10
It has a hippy quality to it yet it sounds like something out of the Middle Ages. Love it
My favourite Band ever! Been a big fan since they began. Saw them in NJ Meadowland back in 1980.
That was very enjoyable. What a way to start the day! Thanks for sharing.
Dieser Ian und seine Band sind immer wieder grandios
Super , danke,macht Spass
Jethro Tull: el más Grande!!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏
I love you from the beginning and I still love you now
Tremendous 😊
I think I saw them Live. 70s or 80s. Toronto Maple Leaf gardens. I am Shure of it. Had some good times back then.
I love the sound of the acordeon in this video.
Mother Goose is one of the loveliest songs 💙😄
Τhank you!
Stand Up is a great album.
I was in my teens in the 70s and this is what I listened to with my friends. Additional to the Tull I also listen to Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd.
Ian Anderson the master mind of music
A combination of unique compositions performed by excellent musicians. Such precision and creativity was and still is exceptional! Being a lover of JT‘s music for over 50 years now, I still find new bits and pieces in my old records, which makes this music so different and interesting. Thanks for your dedicated hard work JT and IA and continue to share your love for music with us!
Beautiful.Thank you
FANTASTIQUE 🎶✨
Banda fantástica!!!!!Espero que em breve voltem ao Brasil!!!!!
Excellent Ian never fails.
Thank you so much for sharing, love Jethro Tull through all these years, always excellent work.
It’s awesome!
The Best
Beautiful ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Me siento muy muy alegre al escucharte
As good as the Beatles.
Ian is the most underrated master musician ever.
Ian needs to have a singer now accompany him. No shame in that. The material deserves it. Shelve the ego.
WAL bass! Love it! Saw you guys in Conocti Harbor ages ago. Ian!
Amazing music
Love Jethro Tull
No one will do it better.
Lots of love 🇬🇷
Good old days, when Martin and Doane were still part of the band.
I seen Martin and his band earlier this year. Highly recommend catching his show if comes near.
BRAVO!!!!👍👏
what a man!!!!!!!!😍🤯
❤️❤️❤️
Genial!!
As a long time Tull fan, I realize that most people associate the band with Ian Anderson, but Martin Barre on the guitar is such a large part of the sound.
Yes. Martin was and is a master of guitar.
I never knew that! Thanks for pointing that fact out in a JETHRO TULL forum.
👍nice 🤘 😎
Killer man!
Saw Al Kooper, Tull, Zeppelin, Johnny Winter in that order July 1969 Philadelphia
💜🤘🏿
Visti nel 1982 a Genova, il più bel concerto mai visto!
Impressionante
Polifacetic musicians
I've loved Tull since the seventies but it's sad to hear Ian's voice not what it was. Nevertheless a great song with a new arrangement.
If you want to hear a lot of the old Tull stuff I recommend you go and see Martin's band
Saw him a few years ago and it was amazing! Lovely guy got a selfie and a signed copy of his latest album.
Dokonalé
💐🇧🇷
Figata pura
When was this song written? The album Aqualung was released in early 1971 but recorded almost a year earlier so I'm guessing "Mother Goose" was written in '69 or '70 but that's only a guess and I'd like to know.
Aqualung, best Tull record ever.
The song's title at the start of video??
not bad lads
Looks simaler to someone I just saw going on about Nancy. Can it be possible they can see us. One time I talked to someone I called her a silly little goose why I don't know. Good drum solo. Just my thoughts not breaking the charter. All good in Chiang Rai.👍

Who sold ad-space to DJT?
O baixista parecia um pouco com Elton John.

Still my favorite band after first hearing them back in the early seventies. Too many people on the planet carry the Zealot Gene do they not Mr. Anderson?
Good though his music is, let's not get carried away with left-wing indoctrination he has packaged into his music! There is a reason, a very big reason, that people are fedup with left-wing politics that had cornered the Western mind for decades. The media is changing as a result, now that people can express themselves on social media. Soon, we'll have a right-leaning second TV channel, and that can't be a bad thing to counteract decades on inccent left narrative!
Love the version off of the album aqualung better.good that they mix it up but this is like a remake of a great movie.not as good as the original
Interesting, but it lacks the punch of the original.
