@@MellowWind Only if he plays in the US close enough to me in Oregon and the tickets are under $50. At 73, retired and disabled, my options are VERY limited, unfortunately … the joys of getting old!
Dear Lucia! This was a pleasent surprise! You, and Mr Jethro Tull, himself, Ian Andersson ! You have Friends in the music business! That’s SuperNice, 13 years ago… You were a bit younger, then! 26 years. You played very well…Now, I have collected more of your merits! You are my favorite fiddler! And your singing is very Good! Keep up the Habit of overwhelming me…. Take care of yourself! I want more surprises from you! Love from your dedicated Fan
Ian genio!.. cuando tocas con una philarmonica es que eres un grande entre los grandes. Yo tuve la suerte de verlo en concierto con Jethro Tull en Madrid y en Bucarest.
It is so cool that Ian Anderson endures to this day. His early years were so over the top, but now he's mellowed, yet the same intensity is obviously there. A genuinely decent man.
I'm a 63 year old mom to 4, gramma to 10. My son and I were lucky enough to see Ian and the boys on Jethro Tull's 50th Anniversary Tour in Indio CA on July 5, 2019. During the first set Ian gave us a thrill in the form of a 7.1 EARTHQUAKE! No one does it better folks. ( This was the 3rd time I've seen Tull, the other 2 in the early 70's but the FIRST time I've been treated to a real live earthquake at an event. Thank you Ian, we enjoyed it!).
These classicists are having a ball..they're not surrendering a thing from the classical aspect and yet..swinging along. Whee! Tom Loughlin Jr, Utica NY
Dear Lucia! I have in my hand the album, Jethro Tull, Original Masters, in 24Karat Gold CD! I digged Jethro Tull, back in the 1970’ years! You have also colloborated with Josh Groban… I have three of his CD’s from. early 2000! I think you have several musician Friends… They all think highly of you, me included… Enjoy the musikal arena! From your dedicated Fan in Lillehammer, Norway!
Oh , my lordy pants.. what kind of musical genius is this. so amazing.. listened to Jethro and Ian for many years, just discovered this.. really wonderful.. x
Watching so many videos from Jehtro Tull I was missing this one this is super the interrelation with this full orchestra is marvelous, sound great!!!!!!!
I met him and he was kind and patient towards me. He even arranged two free well seated tickets for me and my girlfriend. And two pictures were taken of he and I.
I think Ian Anderson is Amazing. I love to hear him play the flute in any song I hear him play. I think that Lucia is beautiful! She plays the violin awesomely. I could listen to her all day. They both can sing quite well.
@Truemyshkin - well said, BRAVO! Innovative, creative, and charismatic - - I would think flute lovers would appreciate a guy who made flute playing cool!
Love this guy! He's one of the few musicians where you can tell it's him after hearing just half a bar.
He never plays it the same way I've seen Tull 10 times over the years and he does it differently each time, so YES it is improvising.
I'm jealous! I would have loved to see this *Genius* in person!
@@SpecialSP You still can.

That's why he is a GENIOUS!!!!!!
for a self taught flautist, he shows the classically trained musicians that with natural ability and flair you can excel.

Это вещь, с которой началась моя любовь к Jethro Tull и вообще к музыке арт-рок или прогрессив.
Спасибо, Ian Anderson & I.S.Bach.
His version from Stand Up blew me away back in '69 and still gives me chills to this day. This version is wonderful.
I love his respect for the classics. The layers of sound and emotion are rarely heard today.
You can tell a story or hear your own story.
Genius. Ian can transcend Bach's music to a new genre, and make it sound fresh and new.
WHAT AN INCREDIBLE MUSICIAN HE IS.
UNBELIEVABLE & SO,SO TALENTED.
WELL DONE
The most talented rock musician ever!!!
A top rated flautist if my spelling is correct here...
The first Jethro Tull song I ever heard was Bouree, 50 years ago. I’m a huge fan ever since.
His talent is shown especially well on his solo albums where he plays most all instruments
Awesome! That's the man that I named my eldest son after! And wouldn't you know? My Ian became a musician also and LOVES Jethro Tull!

From a mad keen 73yo Aussie fan.
Watching so many videos from Jehtro Tull I was missing this one this is super

Ian never slows down. The man is on fast forward since the 60’s! What a talent. And you gotta love Tony Carey on keys. He’s Rock Royalty i. My book.
As the flute replaces the words ...... Ian magic
I didn't know I possessed the capacity to enjoy the flute this much. This is sick...
Give a listen to Roland Kirk, who greatly influenced Anderson’s flute playing, or to Hubert Laws or Jeremy Steig...
Bravo!!
Wonderful !
He is the Artist. Great man.
