- Trevor and Rae take us on a tour of their DIY Overlander tiny home, which they built on back of a retired snowplow. This 4x4 home is made for off-road adventures, and they tow an army trailer behind them for more storage.

My new inflatable house got a puncture last night. So now I'm living in a flat.
😂
Well, you're lucky it didn't blow up.
Love it ❤❤
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
😆😆😆
Doing that for 110,000 is impressive! The Croked sink is cool, as is the dog! God Bless you two!
Louis is the coolest
TIP- If you use those black velvet hangers you'll have TONS more hanging space.
Great rig! If I could have anything I wanted, I'd choose something like yours. No one will be approaching that vehicle!
Oh don't underestimate the nosiness of campers/RVers. 😆
Wow. Outside? Box truck. Inside fancy home. What a contrast. Amazing. Fantastic bathroom door.
Just saw this home in the background on another channel! I was so wanting to see more, and now here it is, just minutes later!!!
THE BEST THING IS THE CROOKED SINK... IT'S JUST PLACED IN A NATURAL POSITION WHEN YOU'RE PREPARING FOOD IN THAT AREA, CUTTING, WASHING, COOKING... THAT WAS CLEVER ! LOVE IT !
This answered every question about traveling with a brachecephalic dog that has been holding me back. THANK YOU!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
Much love to you! Cheers
I love her sunflower tattoo. And the crooked little sink.
Trev designed my tattoo! Thank you! ❤
Beautiful setup. Lots of unique personal touches and I dig the couples energy. Louis is a cool dog. Just a side note….those essential oil diffusers can be unsafe and toxic for animals. Something to double check especially in such a small space. Safe travels and cheers to new adventures!
Yes, big time! Also air freshner, incense, and sprays.
Agreed - Please check it out. Louis is too important.
Everything in our house is pet safe and Louis approved 🤙🏼
@@revdupartist9386 exactly
If you know what you are doing then then the oil diffuser is dog safe! I, sure they are very careful with Louis! I have also double checked with my vet and my naturopath and as long as you use high grade oils and a proper diffuser then you are just fine
WAZIMU is a SWAHILI word that means crazy. In KENYAN STREETS WAZIMU is filled with so much awesomeness
Cool
Me: travel with a drooling dog! Ugh! Me, two seconds later: aw, who's a good doggie? You're a good doggie! What a sweetheart! *snuggle snuggle*
I love what you've done with the place but I see something that you could fix. We moved from a 2300 square foot house into an RV five years ago and in the course of cutting down on clothing I found out a great hack. Those slender little hangers with velvet on them take up so little space. I was using the plastic hangers, and went from about 5 feet to less than 3 feet of hanging space that way. I love those wooden hangers that you have but I think they take up even more space than the plastic ones. Think of how much more stuff you could hang up Woo Hoo!
Yes! I also found some shiny metal ones...lol...that are just as thin as the 'velvet' ones. It's amazing how much space the hangers themselves can take up. Plus if that closet is deep enough there are those things that you can hook to hang other hangers on the 'original' anger. They may take up more room so I was thinking that perhaps something like a large jump ring that could slip onto the hanger from the top hook and then another hanger could slip on to it. Just an idea.
Totally, agree with you on this
@Vernie,
We roll our laundry.
Everything goes in flip-top crates stacked two-high under the bed.
.
Two decades full-time live-aboard in our ExpeditionVehicle.
This works for us.
A "3 stove burner" and "2 stove burner?" 🤔🤣 Totally something I'd say, too.
The very best thing on your rig is the art work on the exterior. The washroom set up was also a good option. To have all the walls and floor waterproof. The marine grade paint was a good option.
LoL, it looks stupid.
both are really cute
WoW! It’s amazing and it looks so homey inside and comfortable.
Please make sure Trevor wears the right protective gear needed to protect his lung’s. I welder friend of mine who has done it for years has just been through a complete lung replacement. He got what is called welders lung 🫁
Beautiful home though xx
Your innocent laughs are riveting.🤩
😅 I am very self conscious about my laugh, so thanks 😂😂
You two have done an amazing job. ❤
Yup that set up is really Wazimu!
Your friend with this Kick-Ass shop he's a superhero
Truly
I hope no one else has already commented on this, but the dog and the rig are a perfect match! You got nailed by the steel price hikes, bummer. I can imagine aluminum went even higher, it's always more that steel anyway. 1800 watts of PV is massive, my off grid home had 1200 watts and I was living large. You need to fab up a light weight, somewhat folding (or maybe not) 2 wheel trailer for that bike, to make full use of having a secondary mode of transportation. Grocery runs, doing laundry, etc., a trailer would be a huge help. I travel in a small plane along with a folding ebike, and the bike trailer I have makes it all much more practical. One of the best owner built rigs I've seen, great job.
Thanks for the love! Your set up sounds pretty legit too!
That's a solid build out. I've been daydreaming of using a similar truck, but a 4x4 bucket truck instead of a salt truck. Little shorter.
Thanks for the love
@@Wazimulife Welcome!
Home is where you make it. This build is my favorite by far.
Thanks for the love ❤
Love this creative couple that knew what they wanted, and created it! Bravo! 🙌🏼❤️

Very cool. Love your jeans.
I've seen a few expedition/overlander style vehicles but this is my favourite design and interior by far. Also Louis is adorable! I love the fact they designed around his needs, something ill be doing for my dogs in future 😁
Awesome place. Love that bathroom. Unique and very cool. No complaints here. Love it, well stay safe and stay healthy make those memories and have fun and love deeply. Again great place. Cozy to. So happy you guys are living your dream. Thank you for sharing your awesome rig, home, rv. What ever you want to call it. Me it would be called home, exactly right to bringing your home to where ever is a lux that many people don't have.
Great home on wheels. It looks like a small building inside. Spacious, Very well done!!!! Love it👍
The Polaroid wall is a great idea. The B&W pic of you two near the stove is great. All the best to you two & safe travels.

Wow that is amazing I love it and I live your pup…my daughter has a bully and she’s the friendliest dog on the planet but boy is she heavy….
Wazimu in Swahili means Crazy ! Love your Crazy life .The Truck is 🔥🔥🔥🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪
Sure does!
Everyone with these overland rigs has incredibly rare access to space/parts/building tools and or is a master carpenter, electrician, and engineer. It makes this lifestyle feel impossible to anyone that doesn't have tons of capital and skills :/
You can learn how to do it all if you want to. If you look around you'll find many of them didn't start out with all of those skills they learned them as needed to complete their builds or from other builds just like they did here. For most people I would suggest trying a sprinter van with some of the new kits they now have where someone else did the engineering already and you can put them together much faster and get out where you can see if it really is a lifestyle you want to live before trying something bigger/ more custom.
@@michaelcummings7246 I appreciate what you're saying but I don't have 45k sitting around for a heavily used Sprinter van + $10k for wood and parts. I live in an apartment so I have no where to build.
@@arcadeshift5071 For building space see if there is a maker space where you live they usually have places you can park while working on it plus the tools and people for some advice. Other option is Community College which often has parking space and some shop space where you can work on projects for your woodworking or welding classes etc and might even get some help from other students with it. Couple other build spaces are large storage units or some closed down industrial space which might be willing to rent out some space as a little income and activity in the building is better than nothing for them.
Vans are more expensive then they were a few years ago but there are still good deals to be had. Go talk to shops that do fleet service work for local businesses and let them know what you're looking for. They often know who is planning to replace some vehicles and can help get you in contact with business. Also look for places that are going out of business that offered delivery service they oftentimes have a vehicles they need to get rid of and they are motivated seller because they usually need the cash. Just matter of thinking outside the box and doing some networking and putting a little time into it.
Not everything is for everyone.
Sounds like you suck at being poor. If you're poor and want nice things, you have to roll up your sleeves and build them yourself. The nice part is... if you do decide to tackle a project like this, you'll learn a lot, and it will be nicer than most things you can buy. You will most likely over engineer it, but youll also be able to fix ANY of it since you built it all.
Stop limiting yourself by pretending you cant do something like this. Maybe not on this size or scale, but im sure if you saved up you could start with a short bus, and just learn as you go.
Wow, excellent result! What a well-built rig and a great layout. Cool garage/trailer.
Amazing build and talents! May your roads always be blessed safe ones 🙏🏻
SUPER COOL BUILD, GUY'S, UK.
Your build is sweet!" Beautiful wood and nice appliances. Cool lay out!"Have fun on your adventures. Be safe.😊
Oh, to be that young and carefree again .... very nice home on wheels.
Excellent build - I am super impressed. Congratulations.
I am in love with this home it is the best I have ever seen I could live in something like this beautifully done ❤️💙💕💜💚💖🙏🙏🙏
Thanks so much for the love❤
Great couple, that's living it.
Wonder what the monthly fuel cost is for that rig?
I seriously love your show. I don't watch very often but when I dive in I lose a couple hours. Loving these truck builds. I see one in my future. I grew up as a kid with my grandparents driving around the west in a Winnebago and boating. Awesome times from Utah to Canada. I need me one of these great little mobile homes. So awesome. Please keep up the great work.
Really amazing build!! Your dog is gorgeuos ❤. And you had me cracking up with the Zombie Apoc. comment 😂
Really cool setup! Love the homemade stove. Love your pup, too!! Tfs.
Very nice beautiful tiny home
Trevor you’re a legend brother. Happy trails.
What a great couple, I feel the love! Sweet vehicle!
Great build 🎉
I love that this guy thought about water filtration ,very important thought when going into nowhere land
Hey, thank you for the tour around your home, I really love the inside. What a wonderful, beautiful job you to have done happy trails to you both and be safe and may the Lord bless you always 🙏
Thanks for the love
Great build!!! Enjoy😊
Very beautiful custom home 🏡
This has a comfortable feel to me.
Love love love this couple!
They did a very nice job. It did make me ponder on how they finance their nomad lifestyle.
I work remotely from the road and Trev picks up welding jobs where he can 😊
@@Wazimulife That's awesome. I love building things with metal and wood. I'm just starting on a traveling project.
I can't agree with you more, brownies & cookies are definitely a huge priority in life. I love how you guys built steps for your "luxury" dog. The entire rig came out wicked good! You 2 seem like an amazing team. I hope you conquer as many awesome adventures as you possibly can.
The good cute doggo boy has a nice house.....
I love this. Everything is just perfect for me.
nice...I am from Kenya and Wazimu is swahili for Madness 😎
Beautiful home and Lewis is the cutest!!❤
Wazimu in swahili literally means a mad person. Someone who has lost their mind. Yeah the title is apt. You can literally drive over almost all kinds of terrains.
Loved this one but one thing I had to mention is that the wooden coat hangers could be black velvet to
save space and also hold all the clothes comfortably. Excellent layout and storage all around.
I love that they are both photographers, as am I.
Absolutely Gorgeous
This is definitely the coolest build I've seen! The bathroom is amazing!
Thanks for the love
Very cool rig. The artwork on the sides is amazing! The wet room/bathroom is very nice. I've only see tiled ones before. This feels warmer. The wood burner is sooo freakin' cool...or well hot! LOL.. And the kitchen is really workable. And of course Louis, such a great dog. Thanks for reminding people about animals comfort, it's sooo important. A couple of other people commented, but it bares repeating...PLEASE check on the diffuser and any other scents/sprays/incense/ect you might be using to be absolutely sure it is safe for Louis. Things like that can cause problems for dogs (and cats).
We have done. a lot of research on our different scents that go in our diffuser :)
Thanks so much for the love and the concern for our fur baby! Cheers!
@@Wazimulife Of course. 🙂
Wazimu is a Swahili word meaning 'mad ' great setup...
Super kool. Enjoyed this tour
Great place a lot of excellent handiwork around… good luck
Amazing build job well done wishing you both many happy trails.
Thanks so much for the love
Love it and Louis is absolutely adorable 😍😍!!!
I love it simply beautiful. Good job travel safely. All the best! ❤😊
Beautiful home
That's dope home
This was a really well thought out and constructed home on wheels!
Love everything about it, and the investment was not ridiculously extravagant!
Great job!
Thank you so much!
Cute home; cute couple!😊
Tremendous Build!
SO VERY COOL. GREAT JOB. LOOKS SO COMFORTABLE
Well done
Very cool I like the features. I like the upstairs aspect if you can make a deck, but you got nice solar. Honestly I can't imagine spending that much money on Steel, you certainly should be able to find and recycle a freight truck box. Having a motorcycle onboard is really a big plus, I hope to get a cargo trailer pretty soon and bring my car and to BMW bikes. Have fun out there🙏🙏
Ever seen a freight truck turn over? That’s why I built it in steel… this is my family, this is my home. Keep it safe.
very nice set up love it
Awesome home
We saw your home last summer. I think we were in Theodore Roosevelt NP, but we were at so many places out west, I'm not sure. We were curious, so thanks for doing the tour. We are currently ft rvers.
Someone takes care of their doggo like I do! LOL
Thanks for an interesting and funny show.....she is great!
