I live in an urban apartment in the pacific northwest US...I enjoy the calm, somehow I get the solitude...I am too old to go and its been years since I've been out, and I never did it with your brand of class. You do this really well....from production, to location, to foodstuffs, to even some of the misadventures...take care of your children as you take care of this hobby turned almost a personal obligation, I am sure I am just one of many who truly enjoy your efforts...My patio porch terrace is about 44 inches wide and about ten foot long, its about the size of a good two man tent...I have it empty and sometimes consider setting up a pitch right there. But instead, I enjoy the product of your efforts. This note is my way of saying thank you, heartily. I cannot send cash, I just can't spare it, but you deserve the sponsorship. I only just discovered your site, so, lots to check out, wishing you well, good health and prosperity you and yours...Peace!
Thank you so much for the kind words. It means a lot! I originally started this channel as a way to give back to a community I have enjoyed watch myself over the years. When I am very busy working or with my family and I can’t get out for a camp myself, I rely on watching camps here on UA-cam to escape vicariously through them. To hear that others are enjoying my videos in the same way really makes me happy! Back when I lived in a city I actually would setup my one man tent on my little patio sometimes. I also would often just brew a coffee out there with my camp stove as well 👍. Thank you so much for this comment. It really made my day! All the best 😀
I'm an indoorsy type of guy, but I really find solace watching solo campers on UA-cam. Thanks to your content I've managed to push myself to go hiking (with a big group though) and conquer my fears of both my lack of physical fitness and the wilderness. Just climbed one of the higher mountains in my country and I plan to conquer the highest one come 2025. Thank you sir for serving as an inspiration to alot of us. You've not only given me a great new fulfilling hobby, but I'm a lot more active now and am doing my best to hit my fitness goals. Stay safe and looking forward to more content!
This comment made my day 🙏😀. Part of starting this channel was to hopefully inspire others to get out and enjoy the outdoors, so hearing this really makes me happy. When my kids were just babies I went through a period of time where I wasn’t really getting to go out and hike or camp very much at all so I relied on watching people on UA-cam camp. It definitely made it a bit easier. Great job on your hike and best of luck on the next one. Really appreciate you taking the time to leave this comment. Hope you enjoy the rest of your week. ATB
Another awesome video, thanks sooo much…I’m living vicariously through you, I would never be able to do these beautiful hikes and camps…so again, thank you so much…😁🤗👍🏻❤️
Very happy to hear that you are enjoying the videos. One of the reasons I wanted to start this channel is because I also watch many outdoor channels, when I’m unable to get out and camp myself. It’s nice to be able to contribute to this kind of content on UA-cam 👍. Really appreciate the comment! ATB
👍 I agree. This is one of my older videos. I typically don’t use music anymore except with drone footage which doesn’t have audio. Really appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment!
I’ve walked a very similar if not the same route in summer and winter but have never camped in the area. You have inspired me to upgrade from my 3 season Terra Nova to a more robust 4 season as I definitely see the draw of winter camping.
Here in the UK I find that I typically prefer using my 4 season tents nearly year round. Especially in the winter which is my favorite time to camp. Really appreciate watching and taking the time to comment.
I find myself with a constant smile on my face whilst watching your videos. I like to get myself into the mountains not as often as I'd like but I suppose that goes for all of us. The most adventurous food I manage to cook are noodles with maby a bit of chorizo and garlic. Hats off to you, cheese stakes and waffle fries on top of a mountain, outstanding! Came across your channel recently as I'd just visited the three tarns, realy enjoyed your video from there, again impressive cooking. I'm now making my way through your back catalogue. I think what you doing is fantastic and look forward to seeing more in the future. Eggs Benedick perhaps? Keep up the fine work, loving it! 😊
Thank you so much for the kind words. I do enjoy challenging myself with different recipes while out camping. The waffle fries in this one were fun. I really appreciate you watching my older videos. I will have to make Eggs Benedict at some point 👍. All the best!
Thank you for posting this. My father was born in Wales and all his family live there. Another great place to visit there, is the Craig Goch dam in Elan Valley, my dad used to take me there when I was a kid and we were on the way to visit relatives. It has some amazing views, not sure if you coul camp there but it would sure be amazing to do so. Enjoyed this video, many thanks.
Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment! Snowdonia is a such a beautiful place. What a great spot to visit as a child. Hope you have a great new year! ATB
There are lots of camp channels out there you are now in my top 5. I really enjoy the way you make videos. I used to make UA-cam videos but life happens and well....I want to get back out there and do that again . Thanks for sharing!
Thank you! Glad you like the videos. You should absolutely get out there and start making videos again. I find it very relaxing to watch camping videos when I don't have time to get outside myself. So the more content the better!! Really appreciate you taking the time to comment. All the best.
It started with one vlog, then jump in to another one. I found that solo camping or solo backpacking is a pain relief and anti stress invest, busy with work and city traffic, watching your video is soo calm and relaxing my mind, spiritual and body. You know sometimes I should go for a solo camping, get intimate with nature. Great Job my friend.
I find the outdoor channels I watch on UA-cam to be a nice way to unwind as well. When I can get out myself for a camp, it’s a nice little reset button, helping to eliminate any stress that’s built up over time! Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment! ATB
Great scenery shots on the way back. You did the philly cheeseteak justice by using shaved ribeye and sauteed onions like Gino's in Philadelphia. Except he uses the infamous cheese wiz. I prefer a more robust cheese like you used. Another great excursion. Take care.
👍😀 love a cheese steak. Thats definitely not something I’ve found here in England so whenever I get the craving I just have to make it myself. Still haven’t found the perfect rolls yet. I definitely prefer the provolone to the cheese wiz 👍
Thanks! I always really enjoy the cooking portions of a camp 👍. Always fun to cook on a mountain or in the woods. Such a beautiful area of Snowdonia. Appreciate the comment! ATB
Welcome to the channel! It’s nice to hear that you find my videos relaxing! Nothing quite like a solo camp in a beautiful place. Hope you can get out and give it a go! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment! All the best
So well said. I 100% was inspired from all the videos I’ve watched over the last three years. It’s a great community that guys have absolutely helped me fumble around and learn. You being one! What UA-camrs have inspired you. Cheers and a heart felt thank you.
The first ones that come to mind are Joe Robinet, TA Outdoors, Haze Outdoors, Erik Normark, Sean James, Darwin on the Trail, Jim And Ted Baird, Kraig Adams, Bertram, Swedwoods, Scotty’s Gone Walkabouts … haha there are so many. I’d prefer watching these guys instead of something on the television!
After coming through Devils Kitchen you can turn left and climb up onto the Glyders. It’s wonderful up there too. Keep at it, it’s always great to see your videos.
Thanks! I guess talking will be the standard from now on. I’m not cringing as much when I hear my voice during the edit, so i guess that’s a good thing. Although in this video I feel like I became tongue-tied quite often. Oh well. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!
Thanks Steven! I purchased these at a Tesco. The Tesco extra has a pretty decent can selection! Really appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment. ATB
Haha Dan Becker watched one of my videos! That’s cool! Thanks for watching! I really enjoyed your video today. I went through an ultralight phase, like many. Now I’m probably the gear guy haha. The jokes were spot on! Thanks again for watching and taking the time to comment! ATB Dan.
Wales is beautiful! My kids absolutely love going to the castles also! I was really happy I got to see a view in the morning! I would’ve been really disappointed to wake up to thick cloud cover. Glad to hear you don’t mind my rambling. I was worried I wouldn’t have anything to say, but I guess I talked even more in this video 😂. Thanks as always for watching Bob! ATB
Glad you liked it! I will definitely continue the talking and cooking. I think I’m going to do a hot tent camp for the next trip just for a change in scenery! Thanks for watching!
Stunningly beautiful area! So happy we got to see it (and you as well, of course!). Wonderful video♥️ I’m enjoying you chatting with us. Greetings from Texas🤗
It really is a pretty place! I’m glad I got to capture it on camera without crazy wind and rain blowing in my face this time! Now that many more people are subscribing and commenting on the channel, I’m really enjoying it also. I don’t feel like I’m talking to myself now! Thanks for commenting and watching!!
Very nicely narrated hiking trip. I have trouble cooking like that at home. 🤣 Yeh the crazy is not the normal pattern of things. The normal is really terrific in itself. Well done.
Thanks! It’s a fun challenge to try to cook everything with a small fry pan and little stove. I really enjoyed the quiet night on this trip. I’m def not one to intentionally chase crazy weather, but always prepared for it. Thanks again for watching and taking the time to comment!
Excellent overnighter. I’ve been in a similar situation myself up in the Eastern Sierra’s of California I had gusts of up to 80 mph. Had some whiskey and a freezes dried meal. Nothing compared to your steak and sprouts plus a couple fine beers to wash it down with. Again I enjoy your videos Best Danny
Thanks for sharing! The Sierras are beautiful! I enjoy cooking, but sometimes the freeze dried meals are just really nice and convenient if you just want to relax! When we get into the winter here and the sun is setting before 4pm, cooking is nice because it gives you something to do when the nights are long! Really appreciate the support and thanks for taking the time to comment! ATB
Absolutely delightful video with incredible views and natural beauty. Thanks so much. You set a very pleasant rhythm in your videography and presentation. I really enjoyed it.
Thanks! I like to cook and it’s nice to have real food. Although, the bags are incredibly convenient and easy to pack! Really appreciate the support! 👍🙏
Thanks! My family enjoys it when I make these cheesesteaks at home! Anything I can get my kids to eat is a win! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!
I really love that area. I used to hike around there very regularly for many, many years in the past. Alas, my knees won't allow for any big hill walking any more so it's great to enjoy seeing what's going on the tops up there through vids like yours. Subbed.
It’s a stunning area. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Happy to share, as I myself watch a lot of outdoor channels to either revisit places I’ve been or see places I would like to go. Thanks for taking the time to comment and for the support! ATB
Your trip obliged critical reflection and deep, deep introspection on the metaphysical basis of reality. Observation: My wife, the family gourmand said of your waffle fries: that is next level, absolute … perfectionism. Quite the compliment. Ask me how I know this: eye roll! Second, your journey brought into question your contention that you were surrounded by clouds (on day 1). Rarely in philosophical debates, can the question be answered directly through the evidence of empirical observation: you were clearly, inside a cloud. The second metaphysical question your trip raises focuses on conceptions of self and awareness - you answered unequivocally, twice: as Michael Pallin would say, “I drink (at least 5.7% beer), therefore, I am.” Keep adventuring.
Glad your wife liked the waffle fries. Definitely not a traditional waffle fry but if you’re only making a few of them on a camp you gotta make it count I suppose 😀. I was just happy the clouds cleared enough in the morning that I could see where I pitched the tent. Really appreciate you watching another video! ATB
Thank you for all your videos, they are informative, and a joy to watch and for people like me ( grandma 68) who has never camped or experienced the freedom and joys of wild camping it feels exhilarating, nerve wracking and yet soothing food for the soul ( views and wonder if nature) all from the confines of my sofa! I especially enjoy watching you cook, the recipes are so good I use them at home! Great for a quick meals. Can I ask you a couple of questions please? Sometimes the camping stove looks awfully wobbly in the tent, I wonder why you don't utilise a flat rock or bring a flat tray/fold out metal base or tin lid to rest the stove on? You don't allude to how you deal with washing or going to the loo? Where do you go to the loo? Re- leave no trace? When you fill your water bottle from a tarn or stream, you say you use a filter bottle, how does this work and can it filter out microorganisms? How do you clean it? Lastly, can you explain occasionally to people like me who gave no knowledge if camping/hiking, the equipment you find most helpful. I notice you opt for alcohol stoves when it's very cold and what first aid you take with you. Just occasionally just to fill in the gaps. What lucky children to have a dad such as you, I bet they're the envy of their mates! Again thank you and please take care I've stress eaten my way through a whole bar of chocolate almost unnoticed by my stomach, whilst you wrestle with a windy weather and torrential down pours or teeter along ridges like a mountain goat! Xx🙄
Thank you so much for the wonderful comment! I’m really glad you enjoy watching my videos 😀👍. Happy to hear you are trying some of the recipes. I always really enjoy the cooking portion of my camps. The stoves may look a bit unstable but the ones I use are generally very stable. I usually don’t put them on a tray or rock because I like their center of gravity and heat from above as low as possible. As for going to the loo, because these are overnight camps frankly I just try to wait if I need to go no. 2. If I can’t, I will dig a small cat hole away from any water sources or the footpath and bury it. All toilet paper would go into a plastic bag. As to leave no trace. The water filter I use does filter out microorganisms 👍. When I need to clean it, I will just rinse the filtering tubes under water when I get home, but generally I really don’t have to often. As for the equipment I find most important. Probably the big three. My shelter (especially here in the UK it needs to be able to handle harsh winds), my sleep system needs to be warm and comfortable, and my pack needs to be able to fit all my gear and carry it comfortably. Hopefully I covered all your questions. Again, I really appreciate the thoughtful comment and thank you so much for watching my videos! All the best.
Fabulous, thank you for filling in the gaps for me. Once again just to reiterate many thanks for posting some of the best videos and informative content on UA-cam . I love them .
Love your videos man!! As many others have said here, they are some sort of visual meditation. Could you please share what lamp is the one you hang inside your tent? Looks amazing and seems lightweight. Thnx a lot!!
I try to capture how relaxing these camps are for me personally in these videos so that is fantastic to hear that comes through on camera! I use the Black Diamond Remoji Lantern. It’s small, rechargeable, has adjustable brightness, and can produce nearly any color of light you want. By far my favorite lantern! 👍
Hope you enjoy it! I was really happy I got to capture the hike with my good camera this trip. There’s nothing wrong with a GoPro but as a photography nerd I just like using my bigger camera. Haha, I probably talk to much in this video so I hope my rambling doesn’t annoy you! Thanks for continuing to watch my videos and comment. I really appreciate it! ATB
@@GoingSoloOutdoors you could never talk too much for me! I like it very much! It actually teaches us newbies a lot and i thank you again. Its a costly hobby but so worth it because the correct gear is the most important thing for our safety and i don't find cheap gear works well! As for backpacks, they're just so addictive! 🤣🤣
@@maggi666 well I’m glad the extra talking isn’t annoying. I just don’t want anyone to think I’m stating the obvious because I just don’t know what everyone’s experiences are. As for the price of gear, I think there’s a lot of great gear out there that’s relatively cheap and of great quality. The first thing that comes to mind are my Mora knives. They are some of the best and most reliable knives and they also happen to be my cheapest. In my experience gear that keeps you warm and dry tends to cost the most money. And the lighter it is the more expensive it gets. So if it boils down to my safety I’m willing to pay more. I also always try to buy things on sale though. And if I’m interested in something I’ll typically look it up on UA-cam first. It’s nice because you can usually find lots of video reviews!
Same. Only clothing and backpacks! We buy cheaper versions of cookware etc and our Vango Cairngorm is cheap yet absolutely excellent and stands up to storms and wind! We only use cheap mats too, with a silver roll underneath! In fact we have two brilliant Vango tents!
@@TheSebtrain Thanks 🙏👍! Just trying to pay respect to such a beautiful place by capturing it the best I can! As for the food, I just like to cook!! 😃 I’m a bit of a camera nerd also so if your interested in seeing what I’m doing in the outdoors when I’m not doing my overnight camps, consider taking a look at my Instagram @goin.solo ! Again I really appreciate the kind words! ATB
@@GoingSoloOutdoors I will definitely have a look. I adore cooking also. I got into watching the camping videos through the love of cooking. As you know, everything smells and tastes better outside! Have a great day 🤙
I really enjoyed this adventure and you talking through it is really great! I like how you keep contact with your family too because peace of mind is so important! I felt scared when you took the wrong direction because we frequently experience the dense clouds when hiking! Everywhere looks the same. 😱 Thank you very much! 😊
I’m glad you liked it! It was a fun trip. The Garmin or any other satellite messaging device is great! If something happened to a family member I would want to know asap so I can get home! I got back on trail fairly quickly, but it can definitely be disorienting when the terrain is all the same level and bare of many features. Thanks for watching!
I just want to pay respect to such an awesome place by capturing it the best I can on camera. Besides, it just means I get to do the hike nearly twice haha! Really appreciate the comment and thanks for watching! ATB
Another great upload man, thoroughly enjoyable escape before I drift off, nice to see we have same choice with the Nemo Tensor, looking fwd to next one 👍
I love how proper wild campers pace up and down a small area to see if it’s a suitable pitch, like a cat or dog settling onto a blanket. I’ve got a very experienced mate who does exactly the same! Beautiful stuff all round once again sir. I can see you hitting silly subs before very long, and well deserved as you seem to approach this UA-cam thing in just the right way. Oh, by the way, a good potential mod for the Soulo (which may help with pitching on less than perfect terrain) is to have a few extra inches of Dynema with a tension adjuster on the 6 flysheet rings so that you aren’t having to put the peg in where the rings dictate - you can place them in a multitude of places nearby. Cinching them down also really gives an extra bit of tension in high winds too. I’ve done it on mine recently and it really helps. Keep them coming! Cheers. Rich 👍 PS From some angles, with your beanie on, you have a look of Benelux Cumberland-Sausage out of The Doctor Strange. Has anyone ever pointed this out? 😜
I really look forward to your comments Rich. Always well thought out. Love the dog and cat analogy! Haha, but it’s almost comical that my feet managed to miss every large rock on this spot when doing so. It was fine once my sleeping pad was inflated, but a bit bumpy until. Really surprised lately how many people have been watching the videos. It’s been fun to get to talk to so many people or get great tips like the one you mentioned. I’m going to try that tip on my Enan if it ever arrives! As for the Benedict Cumberbatch comparison …. 😂 yes my students would make that comparison quite often. Especially if I would grow any facial hair, I would get called Dr. Strange. Ugh children haha. ATB
@@GoingSoloOutdoors Ooh an Enan… My OTHER Hille is also an Enan - a fine choice. Fingers crossed it arrives in time for spring! I think you’ll love it - noticeably less sitting up space than the Soulo but a bigger vestibule for that lovely cooking you do. Looking forward to it already Sherlock! 👍 😉
Thanks! I’m glad you liked the video! I normally use an Opinel for food prep but I recently got the bugout to try something different. Love making a cheese steak! Although, I usually use butter for the onions but forgot to bring it. Still pretty good though! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!
I love the views in Snowdonia, it’s an incredible place! Glad you liked the cooking. It’s always nice to have a good meal at the end of a solid hike! Really appreciate you watching and the support! ATB 🙏👍
It's nice to know you have that bulletproof shelter that you can count on when Mother Nature is in one of her moods. Pushing your pegs into soft ground is't something I've ever done because here in the Western part of America the ground is rock hard & pegs need to be pounded into the ground. I'm actually somewhat envious of all the running streams that seem almost everywhere. Sadly, here in Western America way too many streams are all dried up, & ponds are almost non-existent. Never take the beauty & sound of running water for granted. Having limited visibility because of fog is almost unheard of. A dust storm is what we most likely will have to contend with when visibility is limited & that means lots of strong gusty winds. I, too, always unroll my tent from the foot end which will be facing into the wind direction after its pitched. Not a lot of daylight hours during this time of year is definitely something to keep in mind so you can set up camp while there is still daylight. I enjoy going along with your real-life outdoor adventures vicariously although my tent is a Hilleberg Enan instead of your Soulo. Warm Regards from Reno, Nevada U.S.A. P.S. I see you're still driving on the wrong side of the road. :)
As a kid, I spent summers traveling out west to visit my Grandmother during the summers! I really like Nevada, however we would travel often to Colorado to hike many of the 14ers. Most of my camping hiking life though has been spent in the Northeastern US. Lots of streams, animals and trees. I’ve really come to love the treeless Fell‘s in the UK. I will be a Enan owner as well at some point. I’ve been waiting for almost a year for it. And I just received a message from Hilleberg last week saying they’re still experiencing some delays getting it shipped to me. Oh well. I’m looking forward to a lighter Hilleberg though for some longer treks. As for driving on the wrong side of the road. I’ve become so used to driving on the left these last couple years that when I visited the states it felt incredibly wrong driving there haha! It’s incredible how quickly the brain becomes use to something! Thanks for watching and the comments! ATB
Another great video, love it. Subscribed. Can I ask which car park that was, and does it allow overnight parking officially? Always feel more relaxed when I know parking sorted. Much appreciated.
Thanks! I agree parking can be really stressful and that’s why I find it hard to come camp here sometimes. This was a car park just off the A5 next to Llyn Ogwen. I was a bit nervous parking here but there were no signs saying you couldn’t park overnight. I’ve parked here twice so far with no issues but it’s been a while since I’ve been to this car park. Hope that helps. Happy New Year
@@GoingSoloOutdoors For sure! I am trying to go super light for my Appalachian Trail thru-hike in 2022, but man, I could save a whole lot of restaurant bills by bringing a small fry pan and hiking in some occasional fresh whole food. I am sure it is a morale booster on those cold windy nights to have a meal. BTW Great footage! I enjoy all of your videos. You hike to the most gorgeous spots. I have friends in the UK and in Scotland. I hope to make it to Europe someday. *knock on wood
That’s exciting! Good luck with your thru hike! Having grown up on the East Coast, it’s always been a dream of mine to hike the AT. I’ve hiked and camped along many sections but now with a family I won’t be hiking anything that distance for a while. I do however want to hike the Coast to Coast in England or the Cape Wrath Trail in Scotland as they do not require months! There are plenty of foods you can prepare without a frying pan. Although my snow peak titanium plate which I use as a fry pan is incredibly light! I’m sure you will come up with all kinds of yummy meals that don’t require cooking! Glad you are enjoying the videos. I’ve really really grown to love the landscape here. There’s something magical about the Fells and UK Woodlands! I really appreciate the continued support and the comments! ATB
👍😀 I believe I pronounce it correctly in a later video in Wales. Unfortunately, I always have a very difficult time with Welsh though 😅. Really appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment. ATB
Thanks! The last video did really well and I’m guessing it’s helping with this one, but regardless of the views I’m just happy to make these little films to show my kids and to help remember the experience when my memory eventually fails me!
What a lovely and unpretentious journal. Thanks for sharing. Love this route and have done it a few times. You seem to be a fan of fjallraven. I’m thinking of upgrading to Hilleberg for a 4 season. Is Soulo heavy? I’ve MSR Hubba which is great for 3 seasons
Thanks! It’s a beautiful route! Haha yeah, I really like the durability and weather resistance of Fjallraven’s g1000 material and their clothing has become the go to gift for me, from family members. Not complaining though! The Soulo isn’t light, but it’s my preferred shelter if I go somewhere where the weather might be unpredictable! All in, with all the stuff sacks it’s 5lbs 5oz. I’ve gotten use to the weight and don’t really think about it anymore. I just love the dual inner/outer pitch design and trust it in fowl weather! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment! Have a great day!
Great video. But the stones you picked up - where they randomly places stones or from a previous wall which you removed them from? Happy if they are naturally selected, not so happy if you disturbed a previous farm boundary - regardless if it is 10 or 100 years ago.
Definitely did not look like a wall to me as it was only grouped next to this large boulder. There were also quite a few Cairns in this area along and off the trail. This entire area is littered with fractured stones so it doesn’t surprise me that people put so many of these up which I don’t necessarily agree with as the trail is already well defined. Other stones were taken from the ground between this location and the tent. There was however a well defined wall a bit further NE of my position. If you look on google earth you can see this boundary wall pretty clearly. All stone including the ones I pulled from the ground were replaced as to not leave any bare batches of earth (I discussed why I do this with with another commenter in my last video) Totally understand the concern! Leave No Trace! Thank you for watching and for the thoughtful comment! ATB
I had the same concern--- that it looked like a wall. Not a boundary wall put perhaps a sheep pen. On further consideration, it was more likely natural: very reminiscent of what are sometimes called "scablands" in the PNW. That is, talus or scree patches occurring in places where its presence might seem unexpected or even unnatural.

We've just watched and thoroughly enjoyed this one for the third time. Your hikes/camps give such pleasure. Ty again.
Too kind Ty!
@@GoingSoloOutdoors the pleasure is ours.
I have been watching your Snowdonia hikes/camping with my wife Maggi Twigg and really enjoyed them so I have liked and subscribed.
Appreciate the comment and support Terrence!
Me and my twin brother came across your channel. Really entertaining to watch. Looking forward for more uploads 🤙👍
Glad you guys found the channel 👍. Really appreciate the support!
Yep your right I do love your hiking and camping video that foggy scenery rocks .winds and grass and lakes . and those stones are incredible looking
I love the wild camping, but mostly enjoying your cooking. Love a Y Garn loop on winter, it’s a beaut.
Thanks! I always really enjoy the cooking portions of a camp 👍. Always fun to cook on a mountain or in the woods. Such a beautiful area of Snowdonia. Appreciate the comment! ATB
your soundtrack selection for the landscape couldn't have been better
Thanks I appreciate the feedback! ATB
What a beautiful place
It really is! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment l!
Wild camping is like the best anti depresion pill invented
I need it … no joke!
not really
Woah man, nice spot. I enjoy my Soulo too. Love the silence of a winter camp. Video nicely put together.
Thanks man! The silence in winter is fantastic! I appreciate you taking the time to comment 👍
Stumbled on these while on a break from uni work, they're such relaxing videos! I live in the moors but never go camping, makes me really want to :)
@@GoingSoloOutdoors I watch all those guys. Wish Bertram was still making videos. Check out Wituikbs he’s real traditional.
@@GoingSoloOutdoors Add Bushman and Blue to your list. If you like extreme survival in a tent there is nothing better on UA-cam.
Done this walk so many times. A wonderful place.
👍 it’s such a beautiful area. Thanks for watching!
After coming through Devils Kitchen you can turn left and climb up onto the Glyders. It’s wonderful up there too. Keep at it, it’s always great to see your videos.
@@barriewatts127 I have yet to check it out! You will definitely probably see that in a future video 👍. All the best!
Really like your last couple of camps were youre talking 👍
Thanks! I guess talking will be the standard from now on. I’m not cringing as much when I hear my voice during the edit, so i guess that’s a good thing. Although in this video I feel like I became tongue-tied quite often. Oh well. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!
I'm a new fan here and hopefully this channel will continue making more videos.

Hi, really very good video. My respect! I'm hungry for more videos like this.

Stunningly beautiful area! So happy we got to see it (and you as well, of course!). Wonderful video♥️ I’m enjoying you chatting with us. Greetings from Texas🤗

Great viewing, really enjoyed it. Thanks for posting it.

Nice Calming.Have a nice Trip!

Excellent overnighter. I’ve been in a similar situation myself
up in the Eastern Sierra’s of California I had gusts of up to 80 mph. Had some whiskey and a freezes dried meal. Nothing compared to your steak and sprouts plus a couple fine beers to wash it down with.
Again I enjoy your videos
Best

Thanks for sharing! The Sierras are beautiful! I enjoy cooking, but sometimes the freeze dried meals are just really nice and convenient if you just want to relax! When we get into the winter here and the sun is setting before 4pm, cooking is nice because it gives you something to do when the nights are long! I really love that area. I used to hike around there very regularly for many, many years in the past. Alas, my knees won't allow for any big hill walking any more so it's great to enjoy seeing what's going on the tops up there through vids like yours. Subbed.

The second metaphysical question your trip raises focuses on conceptions of self and awareness - you answered unequivocally, twice: as Michael Pallin would say, “I drink (at least 5.7% beer), therefore, I am.”
Keep adventuring.
ATB
I Love your videos
Thanks watching and taking the time to let me know you like them! Have a great week!

Another great video wild camp

I’m glad you liked it! It was a fun trip. The Garmin or any other satellite messaging device is great! If something happened to a family member I would want to know asap so I can get home! Another great upload man, thoroughly enjoyable escape before I drift off, nice to see we have same choice with the Nemo Tensor, looking fwd to next one 👍
Thanks for watching another video and taking the time to comment!! The Nemo Tensor is great! ATB
Cheers. Rich 👍
PS From some angles, with your beanie on, you have a look of Benelux Cumberland-Sausage out of The Doctor Strange.
You have put a unreal amount of camera work into that pal it paid off well done

Happy New Year
Thanks so much for reply, will check it out. Parking can be the worst bit of camping, I agree! Keep up the great work and happy new year!
You make the yummiest looking food!
Thanks! Backpacking meals are convenient and easy to pack but it’s nice to cook a proper meal!
ATB

Hello 👋
Great job 👏
Can you tell us what kind of tent you use?
Absolutely! For this trip I am using the Hilleberg Soulo. Thanks for watching and commenting! ATB
Great job mate , and I know what you mean about having two young kids .
They definitely keep us busy! Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment!
