It would be a HUUUUUUUGE hit it it ever came to pass. my only concern is the writers and directors are they still alive?? because it takes a special kind of raw talent to make classic movies/ legendary movies like this. I agree with you 💯. I hope one day they make another with ALLLLLLLLL the same actors in it.

I watched the DVD in my school for English and it didn't have the music (and most of it was Elvis music. I'm a fan of the outsiders and Elvis 😅) and It bugged me so bad when I watched it with my dad (which wasn't on dvd and it had the music btw in the background *of the first opening scene* of pony boys bedroom there is Elvis photos hanging on his wall also a horse picture 😅 he must be like me loves Elvis and horses😅

@@paigeeast1921 no worries! I found these clips from my Outsiders DVD, it came with 2 discs. One was the movie, and one was the special features. I can't say where I got them because it was a gift, but if I had to guess, amazon or ebay!

One thing thats kinda bothering me for years (I grew up in 80s) is ; Why doesnt C. Thomas Howell still have a career like he had in 80s? Why is he not working actively anymore? I refuse to belive that Hollywood cheewed him up when he was kid, and got rid of him as soon as he turned 20 or so. He deserves to be out there with Leo, Depp, Brad and so on.....
From what I understood he made a movie called soul man that didn't go over well with critics and his career was never the same

I actually grew up not in Tulsa but in Oklahoma City on the poor white trash Southside of Town, in the late 70s and early 80s when the film came out. it was 20 years after the story in the book was set but me and my friends still had slightly long messy uncut hair and wore jean jackets and had chips on our shoulder, from being made fun of and harassed by kids that had more. and everywhere around us our neighborhoods were run down and falling apart and people were struggling to get by and i saw the film when i was about 12 and related to it on a very deep personal way that i have never connected with a film before or since. being right at that age where you are still a sweet innocent kid, but also having grown up having to be streetwise and cautious what blocks you walk down and where you go. before some of my friends got out and made better lives for themselves, and other friends got older and became real delinquents then criminals. this film hits me so hard and captures a moment in life and time for me that is so very personal.
and ANY time i see other "Outsiders" Fans it is ALWAYS Young Girls just going "SQUEEEE so and so is SOOO CUTE!" LOL, the irony or the juxtaposition or something is just too....

The Tulsa SUNDAY World, Sunday, February 26, 1967---"The Outsiders" by S.E. (Susie) Hinton, a Viking book for April. Can someone explain the ending of the book cuz in the movie we see at the staring that Ponyboy starts writing an essay but at the end of the book that is when Ponyboy starts to write the essay. So does that mean in the book, we have been reading Ponyboy’s essay the whole time or he just starts writing it at the end of the book?
The whole book was meant to be Ponyboy's essay! The movie shows him writing the essay at the end and beginning to show you more- pretty cool, huh?

So before they shot the movie, they video taped a rehearsal. This was the rehearsal! I got this off of the second disc of "The Outsiders: Complete Novel" DVD, it didnt show me all of it. That's all it shared!

If you ever saw a movie being made you'd laugh. I'ts waiting to wait scenes are short the set up takes forever.
I grew up with an undiagniosed neurological disorder that made reading very difficut This movie allowed meto enjoy this wonderful book. I remember walking home from the theater with my friends, all the way mimicing Matt Dillon' strut, feeling invincible.
