Hello, super setup and vidéo! Is there any preamp ? Are all the pedals connected in the same chain and the last one connected to the amp? Which cables do you recommend ? Thanks !
Yes. Typically, all pedals need power to run. For most pedals you can use a battery (9V), but a better option is a dedicated power supply for the pedal(s) in your rig.
Have you heard of Geoffrey Castle? He used to do a lot of rock but now he is mostly Celtic. How about Judgement Day, which is a Violin Cello Drums Metal Band?
Love the demos, thanks for doing this. How does this work with an acoustic electric violin, any problems? (Also, it's a Rock Foul to wear your own concert T-shirt. That's a 10-yard penalty and loss of down. Sorry, I don't make the rules).
6 string Violin is a thing? I just ordered my 4 string electric, thx for sharing your setup helps a lot for us acoustic classiv learning this side of strings.
Great set up. Inspired me to check out some for myself. Professional educators don't rely on full jargon though if they want anyone and everyone to learn and get into the particular field being discussed, however. Good educators know to use simple or lamens terms so all can engage with the content, not just the experienced. Sadly it comes across as rather elitist :/ Would love to see a video actually engaging a whole spectrum of viewers, allowing room for beginners to really get to grips with the kit and instrument in a way they can fully grasp. It's all a learning curve! Hopefully you can take some nuggets from this. :)
I have a bass with five strings. So, will you say that isn't bass? Many instruments with strings can have some extra strings. What you know is not everything.
@@WarnBass violin is made of wood and has only 4 strings, because is violin, if it has more strings it's not a violin, do you know how many instruments are played with bow? you can t say it s a violin! Starting to say it's an electric violin, that is different
@@francescounida5682 Man, do you know everything about every instrument? Are you sure that isn't a violin? Let's just think a little. That can make a same sound with same way with the violin. And it looks same, too. There's no reason we can't call it violin.
@@WarnBass the definition of violin is different, it has 4 string, it's made of wood and it's an acustic instruments, but what do you want to understand if you aren't European? You don't know everything about European instruments, it's like talking about electric bass and a contrabass, they aren't the same instruments and it doesn't care if they have the same sound, they are two different instruments, like violin and that thing, that is an electric violin. Or like the piano and the keyboard.
That distortion sounds amazing with a violin 🎻🎸🎶
6:53 almost sounded like a steel guitar! I loved it!
2:04 Aerials intro

I really just want a violin that sounds like a wild fretless guitar. Imagine Marty Friedman getting his hands on that
Or Jack White
You can use a violin style bridge at a normal guitar.

I need to get an electrical violin but they are so limited when it comes to left handed models!
Un violín de 6 cuerdas?
I'm new to using an electric violin and pedal effects used with them. Do pedals need their own power supply??
Yes. Typically, all pedals need power to run. For most pedals you can use a battery (9V), but a better option is a dedicated power supply for the pedal(s) in your rig.
@@RedinsiMusicTutorials If I ask for a dedicated power supply am I asking for a supply that holds more than one pedal ?

Does anyone know if guitar pedals work on violins? I was looking everywhere on the internet and couldn't find an answer!!
Yes. most of the pedals used in this video are "guitar" pedals.
@@warrensnider188 Thanks for the reply
Theres a violin effect that needs to be in a pedal
They will work on any amplified instrument. Vocals, banjo, saxophone, etc.

What kind of amp or head do you use?
I use a mesa Dual rectifier, but for this video I'm playing through a Fender junior, tube amps preferred always!
