I So needed this song tonight. I have been grieving my mom so much since she returned to heaven, four months ago. This song Is just so much like what she would tell me. God bless and keep you.
This is my Dad's favorite song, so I chose it for our father/daughter dance at my wedding. What an unforgettable memory to sing these words to each other on the dance floor. ❤️
I heard this song for the first in 2011 on Pandora, the day after my mother died. I had stolen away a moment to sit with God in my childhood bedroom. The song cut through all the noise and put God straight into my heart, and it also opened a door to my mom. I knew she was speaking through your words. The song ended and I was afraid to move, and then out of the silence I heard my mom's voice, like she was right there in the room with me, and she asked me to sing this song at her funeral. In the months leading up to her death she made that request a number of times with various songs that had inspired her from Sunday worship. I turned her down repeatedly because I didn't think I could get through it. So instead, here she is coming to me through your song and then asking me to sing a song I'd never heard before at her funeral a week away. No one but me, the pastor and the accompanist knew I was in the plan. For a week the song consumed me as I listened on constant repeat. I only had a chance to rehearse with the pianist one time in advance. Morning of, the pastor pulled me aside and encouraged me to give my worries and fears to God and ask simply that God use me to give a message, just as He used SWP to reach me. I changed the last line to "these are the words My Mom would say." Nearly 11 years later I would still tell others how grateful I am that God gave me that opportunity, to gift my mom with my voice one last time, but also the enormous gift it was on me, and my faith, and in my grieving process. Thank you for continuing to sing it. 💜 RIP Jennifer Lee J. 04/25/2011 🙏
God bless you brother! Continue to be who God wants and wonderfully planned you to be. I just want you to know I am blessed by your testimony. Thank you for sharing a part of your life in here.
I thank the Lord for the hope He gives me, I am from Ukraine and the Ukrainian people are going through very difficult times, we have a war now, people do not know if they will be alive the next day, there is a lot of blood and ruins, the smell of death is felt all around. I thank God for every day and I will be strong in the Lord!!!!! pray for us and thank you for the song!
God Bless this band I could listen to their songs all day long and fall to sleep listening to them.God has good things in store for them.I love all their songs but You love me anyway is my favorite.
Praise God! One of my favorite songs! Reminds me of talking with my kids as they navigate around this world. I cry every time I hear it...tears of joy and a little of sadness of missing them.
