This is old but... I rolled the tubing in silicon then covered in sand to give it some kind of realism! Plus the grip feels more comfortable for my shrimp and crayfish

Great idea. I’m going to cut them shorter and silicone a bunch together and face them up, like a honey comb design so the shrimp can hide from the platys.

You can add silicon to the outside of tubes and roll in sand or cover in moss for more natural look & feel
