Theres some guys on the forums ive seen that take 1×12 and make their own full ramps that raise up 6 to 8 inches. Works pretty well for these driveway-scrapers 😂
@@darrylsjodin7184 ua-cam.com/video/9Aoiz5rhqE0/v-deo.htmlsi=Txfm0k94OzVZJMme this is what I've seen people follow, I'm lucky enough to have access to a lift and my car also isn't lowered so my low pro fits
I have 2 jacks, one is the low profile and the second one is a 4 ton. Both daytona. I use the 4 ton to lift the rear from the subframe and get it high enough to put the low profile under the front subframe to lift it. Works great. Also, if you arent taking tires off, make some wheel cribs, to me they are better than jackstands and you can build them as high as you want them. I have a video on my channel showing how to do it and how to use them. I believe Harbor Freight has a few jacks on sale for both ITC and non ITC members. Great video!
@@MegaKencam well it really depends on if your car is lowered. Mine is lowered so that’s why I need to use wood blocks. If you are at stock ride height you will be fine
Nice to know about the transmission jack! I got a bore scope for Christmas and looked in through the oil cap of my 03 Z06. I have the bad yellow valve springs!😥. What brand and part number of valve springs did you buy? Are they the same as in the LS6? Any other parts needed? Push rods? Valve seals? Rockers with new bearings? My car has 84,000 miles. Thanks!
@@darrylsjodin7184 I bought my cam kit from Michigan Motorsports and BTR is the brand that I am using for my springs, pushrods, rockers etc. If you send them an email they can get you hooked up!
I would order another brand valve spring compressor or just make sure you have another one. Swapping my 660 springs out for replacements as they have about 30k miles on them "Tick/Pac" and when I installed them with heads on the car it was a nightmare because the threaded rod stripped. Lubed it with assembly oil, no impact and still stripped. Ended up going with Lisle 16560 and it got the job done, but time consuming. What I like about the Lisle 16560 is the threaded rod has a allen key slot to hold it in place while turning the nut. Toys4life has a video of him using the "Trick Flow" and the rod on that is basically the same concept just a better bolt. So will try the rod from the Lisle on the 3 mirrors double to see if that works to get the springs off and to install them I ordered the Texas Speed valve spring compressor type that you connect a ratchet or breaker bar to and pull down swapping one spring. Trying to install both springs and getting them aligned is just awkard and I'm sure if I was doing it everyday it would be as easy as youtube videos, but not the case. Good luck.
@@Mattschindig thanks for the input! I will definitely make sure I keep that in mind when I am doing my valve springs, I wasn’t sure how much of a difference there would be between the cheaper version and the name brand ones so I thought I’d give this one a shot. But I’ll look into the Lisle as well! Thanks!

I've been meaning to pick up that jack but if I have to drive it up on blocks anyway I guess I can just use my old one.
