Your 80 PSI oil pressure reading is hard to ignore. I fixed mine...twice. It was a bad sending unit both times. I did it without cutting any holes or removing the intake manifold. When replacing the sending unit the 2nd time, I installed the extender hose so now the sensor sits on top of the engine. Very accessible for the next time it fails.
i just replaced mine not too long ago & i tried to replace it without taking off the intake manifold and i dropped my sensor behind the engine 😂 i ended up taking off the intake manifold so ill try the extender hose next time.
Uhhhh.... you can clear your codes by using the in car display in a C5. Hold option and quickly hit fuel 4 times and it will display them all. Use reset to clear codes. Clean ALL of the grounds and also check your ECU under the battery while cleaning your Udders as well for the rain drains
the production of this video is insanely high. I actually got scared when it didnt start the first time after the new battery. Really made me feel like I was with you during the process. Keep it up! Also I am soo close to getting a c5 too.
I’d go thru the car’s grounding system and redo all of them. I’ve had to do this on my C5 and some other cars I’ve owned. Voltage does weird things when it’s not correct.

@Motorsportsgeek it's an all aluminum engine and if you don't put Antiseese on the threads they can strip when removing them. That or the dingo before me stripped it when installing them and left it that way. But yes then can strip or pull threads our, just not the ford way where it spits them out
@@Smokeybear_j.b I have changed over 500 plugs on various aluminum heads. They only strip if they are cross threaded. That is one of the areas of the head where they leave extra material for better heat dissipation.
I drilled a 2" hole in the cowl right above the sensor and had it out in 2 minutes. I put a 2" solid rubber grommet in the hole and it looks like any other tool access port found on a vehicle. Simple job.

I have those c6 wheels for my C5. Yet to put them on. What tires and tire size are you running? Looks great! Any suspension changes or wheel spacers being used? Did this tire/wheel combo mess up your braking or ABS sensors?
Need to get a catch can on that vette and clean your throttle body with the amount of oil that was on those plugs. Still kinda seems concerning that much oil is on them to begin with.
I'm curious about the oil on the plugs, you didn't seem too concerned about it but seems to me like that's something that needs to be addressed? Why was there oil on the plugs?

I read a lot on the Forum that those Splitter can cause serious Heat Problems, since they direct the Airflow complete different, and the Air Damm dont get enough fresh Air.

I know I’ll do that mod when that sensor goes out.
Don't forget to replace the 2 knock sensors and their wire harnesses while you have the intake manifold off.
No car is more sensitive to a bad battery than a Corvette...
That ticking noise is completely normal and is likely just the torque tube doing torque tube things. Mine does it too lol
The LS1 and LS6 are aluminum blocks too. That makes them more noisy than iron blocks.
