This isnt the current rifle qual used for yearly rifle qual, but it is the rifle qual we use for recruit training. Good on you for giving it a go. If you were shooting on a qualification range, youd have people down in the pits pulling targets down to score and then sending them back up so you wouldnt need a spotter

Bro!! Your a beast for doing this! You did a pretty good job implementing the drills for your first time. Just some suggestions for if you ever want to run this course of fire again in the future. Don’t trip over the 300 yard BZO. While I was in we always BZO’d at 100 yards not 300 so your good there. I commend you for choosing the sitting position for the stage two position refinement. I believe sitting and kneeling positions are important to practice in because it forces you to learn how to shoot from uncomfortable positions an also is a reminder on why flexibility is important in life/shooting. Your body is your bipod in those positions so to be able to train your self to get comfortable while being uncomfortable will only be a benefit in your skills as a marksman. And for stages 3 & 4 they are done from the low ready position. Again don’t trip it doesn’t even say it on the USMC table 2 pdf manual that’s literally on their website. But in all it was awesome to see you run this course with your M16A4 pimp stick. I’ve done this course of fire with literally that same exact setup you have for years an watching you run it for your first time was a treat. Can’t wait for your Qual day video my guy!

Dude this was such a great idea to try out! I'm definitely gonna remember these tips for Qual Day. I started to get more comfortable transitioning from standing to kneeling but I def need more work lol, much appreciated for the feedback! Thanks brotha!

You can zero for the 300 at 25 yards. Just you sthe tip of the post. That how we did it when i was in the corp. The tip post and at 300 and 25 is the the same when you are shooting

Also using you sling to help support your hand will help with grouping and more steady shots

Hey James. Great video. I have a quick question. I have a M16A4 clone like yours. I only have the 11 rib panels that the KAC rail came with. What size panels do I need to fully cover the rest of the 1913 rail? Thanks buddy. Keep up the good work. God Bless.

Hey man! Thanks! Since the top/bottom and left/right sides of the KAC are different lengths:
      1. LEFT/RIGHT: If you want to cover the entire left or right side of the rail, then you can use the 11 rib and 5 rib.
      2. TOP/BOTTOM: If you want to cover the entire top or bottom, then you'd use the 11 rib and 9 rib panels.
      3. BOTTOM W VERT GRIP: If you have the KAC vertical grip (the one I have in my vid), then it's gonna depend on where you've placed your grip. My grip is sitting ON the groove between B45 and B25 (not in between the teeth of the rail, if that makes sense) and I have an 11 rib and 5 rib!
