Songs like this make me want to look into Tuomas's brain, you know it is vastly different from the rest of us! He is a compositional genius, and to live in the times of his work is so flipping cool. And of course, YUMMY Marko, can't go wrong. I am so proud of you, B1, for being a good grump and sitting still like you did. This was a great reaction, as always, you 2 Brits are the best! Um, Floor's arms?!?! To be young and beautiful.....
@Chuey's Mama B1 did really well, but to be honest once it got started there was no need to worry, the song and performance just pulled the viewer right in. That was totally epic. Thanks as always Chuey and your support. We really appreciate it and yup, Floor!!
There's a video of Floor with her class in The Rock Academy. Floor actually cries in it talking about her parents. There's a video of Floor talking about her burnout
Thank you, a great reaction to a great performance! 👏BP1, since you like astronomy and since the we-were-here-part got you a little bit emotional, I think that you would enjoy two songs from Nightwish's latest album Human :II: Nature: "Endlessness" sung by Marko, and "Shoemaker" which refers to Eugene Shoemaker, the scientist whose ashes are buried on the Moon (official lyric videos for both). Stellar songs!
Thank you for the reaction, and this song kind of puts life into perspective. We worry daily about the most insignificant things. We are blessed to even be born.
WE WERE HERE !!!! That Ending gets me every time 🥲. And they look together like Real Avengers of earth ......Fantastic Work Guys 👏. Who else is going to vote for this song's inclusion on the next Voyager golden record, if there'll ever be one? I want to beam this song into space forever. PS: Tuomas IS Nightwish !!! NWSU 🤘😎🤘.
They actually tried to get David Attenborough to do a voiceover on the latest album. He apologized but he was too busy at the time, so they got the actress Geraldine James instead (and she did it beautifully) If you want to really hear what Tuomas can do you should check out disc 2 of the latest album. He doesn't write songs, he composes masterpieces.
@@BritPopsReact There is an extremely good fan made video for the whole of disc 2 (All The Works Of Nature Which Adorn The World). It's so good they play it in the Nightwish museum, so I guess that makes it an official video ! 31 minutes of Tuomas taking you on wild ride through nature, using orchestra, choirs, and a slight sprinkling of Floor & Troy. It's stunningly beautiful.
@@BritPopsReact As noted by others here is the link to the Fan made video. Nightwish is very conscious of Nature, both it's beauty and fragility, as well as our impact on it, particularly in their most recent albums. Tuomas has created this long orchestral work in the last Nightwish Human::Nature album called: All the Works of Nature that Adorn the World. ua-cam.com/video/RnOdQ5WNZJk/v-deo.html The video is 30+ min of beauty and gorgeous music in multiple parts in a fan created video, ending with Ad Astra. It is absolutely Beautiful visually and musically, and just so zen. Tuomas created music for Orchestra and choir vocals with some contributions from Troy and Floor. No lyrics, just music. This fan made video is approved by Nightwish, and edited to perfection to match the musical mood in each part ( titled sections) of the piece. Nightwish did release their own video for the last part called Ad Astra which is also good to view. Ad Astra is being used to close each concert on the current tour.
There's this man who makes me shiver and cry, who gives so much hope, all this at the same time...................... His name??? TUOMAS HOLOPAINEN......................................case closed.
We are the universe made manifest. Here to understand itself. From the galaxies to the solar systems. From the planets to all the vastness in between. Hence from the star's once we came. To the star's we must return. Before the eternal night of us all. If for no other reason. To remind the universe. !!!!WE WERE HERE!!!!
As you correctly pointed out multiple times, there is so much going on, every small detail, so I recommend to watch it multiple times ;) and there are a lot of clues on the other songs on the CD, so just keep up the good work ;)
The magnificence of this song can hardly be described in words. 'Epic' seems to me still very far understated. Tuomas can only be called a musical genius, and the musicians he has around him are perfect for converting his ideas into sound and voice. And also the team for the visual realization deserves proper respect in my opinion. A masterpiece in every aspect. _____________________ 【 _Our rock never dies ever. The same thing happens to me when I hear that line :) feel choked up every single time. Just that idea of that no matter what happens, we were here and we mattered. It’s so easy in this world to feel like you just don’t matter but no matter who you are in this world you are here on this earth for a reason and you are loved and important 🥰
The dress of Floor is not only having a double helix, but it is also the colours of the Finnish Flag. BP2 ask if we knew someone in the universe that could subscribe. I did ask some alien and he said bleep (means thumbs up)!!!!!! Thx for doing this masterpiece and have a nice day. BTW i saw TGSOE myself, but the indoor version. It was mindblowing
You were right, they went through the history of music starting with some Gregorian chant, some magnificent J.S. Bach, there was someone else whose name I always forget and ending with the Metallica reference. Unlike most bands, Nightwish do not play encores, they play the last song and that is it! I rather like it that way.
Too bad they were yapping through that little interlude so they didn't notice some/all of it. Going back a smidge after a long pause is also hard to do.
@@Klojum Well sorry about that… but we did still managed to play through that and we made sure we did as all our great subscribers said to watch to the end as many reactors don’t, thanks for watching and yes we are yappers 🤩
@@NickBR57 Yes, Christian Petzold. I had to learn that on the piano when I was a boy, when it was still attributed to Bach, didn’t like it for many years after that 🤣🤣🤣
Hi guys, nice reaction to this amazing song or should I say masterpiece of music. This is so great to watch and listen. It has so many layers, changes and tons of details. They have put lots of effort to make everything work perfectly. Every detail has been thought at least twice I would say. That quality on a live concert. You mentioned at first you really didn't know which direction it will take you next. That's very clever composing by Tuomas. He knows how to captivate us to listen these songs till the end. Earlier on the comments it was mentioned about Floor's parents participating that concert. I enclose here a video link about Floor's classreunion. There is an interview at Tampere stadium just day before this concert, her parents are on this video too. This video gives us beautiful glimpse of Floor's personality as a person. Thank you for giving it the time and respect it deserves. It’s a composition rather than a song. Well worth a listen with lyrics or in a darkened room with a good drink :) thank you for this
Your Welcome Chris, it’s always great when we find new artists and then grow to really appreciate what they do and the experience they give, this was one of the best we have done and what a composition!! Thanks 🙏 for watching :)
When you remember this was the end of the show, they'd already performed Ghost. Love Score, Yours is an empty hope, Sleeping Son and so on. I actually like it when reactors do poet followed by GSOE, it let's them see Toumas at his darkest and his most optimistic
yes it is awesome, just want to point out though cause he doesn't get noticed as much but on the vocals, there are three harmonizing, Troy was also singing with Floor and Marco as he's also taken up a little of the slack now that Marco's gone.
Ya I saw your eyes water up as I did to, again. Pretty powerful and yet such a genius composed song that I’ve ever heard. Sure makes you think about the lottery of live that’s for sure. Great reaction fellas!
This is how to end a show... Nightwish does concerts like a theatre production ending with the "cast" doing their bow to the audience with Nightwish produced outro music (usually orchestral) behind them. The bow was timed to the music. They play the entire concert straight through with an instrumental song mid show to give the singer a break and a costume change. It is a marathon. When they did the live virtual concerts they did a full dress concert in a green screen room as if they were on stage. For the North America audience they played it very early in the morning in Finland.
What else can one say but "We were here!" Great reaction guys. Well done BP1 for managing to last the course. You are right the we were here does hit home! Stay safe 🤘✌

Nice one mates. I would love to have been there but I saw them perform it at Bloodstock Festival 2018(Walton upon Trent) and it was an electric experience there we’re lots of people in tears by the end.
Their latest album (double), Human and Nature, the next one?! 😊. Again a major subject of Tuomas, mankind and Mother Earth. Another masterpiece. 🔥 In my opinion, the best. ❤️
Thx for this one. The song title describes our human being on this planet - we are living the greatest show…. it’s evolution…. 👍🏆 Also for this song - the lyrics will beam you up… there are sooo many things and persons to watch and understand, it’s quite impossible to understand it all. So, Watch it again and do it with the lyrics….
I'm danish, so this bit I'm not sure of, but what I have been reading in the comment sections of other reactors, is that the Keyboard stand is not of Groot, but a finish statue. I'm sorry but I'm aware where this Statue is or what it is called, if someone knows please comment. Fun facts; One new crab species (Tanidromites nightwishorum) was named after Nightwish in honor in particular for the 2015 album “Endless Forms Most Beautiful” about the evolution of life. Conservation biologist Jukka Salmela of Metsähallitus Parks & Wildlife Finland recently discovered a new insect species in his home country and while remembering Tuomas Holopainen‘s love for nature, he decided to name it “Sciophila holopaineni” after NIGHTWISH‘s keyboarder and songwriter. After the release of the band’s latest album “Endless Forms Most Beautiful” in 2015, Holopainen has been known as person being highly interested in evolution and the diversity of nature. In 2018, a new species of beetle was discovered by scientist Andreas Weigel. It was named after Floor Jansen, dubbing it Tmesisternus floorjanseni. This makes Floor Jansen the second Nightwish member to be a namesake for a newly discovered species.
Not only but also; an unknown brittle star species that lived in the Cretaceous era is named after Floor Jansen - Ophiomitrella Floorae and the Alpenglow Rockshelter - a prehistoric rock-shelter discovered in Pennsylvania, USA and located just a few hundred meters from the Council Rocks archaeoastronomy (Stonehenge-type) site dating to at least 1825 BC - 4000 years before present.
This is a great show! No doubts. I love both live versions of it. IF you are concerned about keyboards, maybe you should check Ayreon. If you are concerned about smart music, you should check Ayreon. (Or Star One, which belongs to the same guy.) Maybe starting for the official videos of "The day that the world breaks down" or "Lost children of the universe". Or, as I did, for some live version: The age of shadows, The eye of Ra, Twisted Coil, The garden of emotions, Isis and Osiris, among many, many others. Cheers!
There are some who prefer this version with the fireworks and some who prefer the Wembley version with Troy initially on guitar with E-bow and the live appearance of Richard Dawkins at the end with the quote from Charles Darwin. But both are epic.
Thanks Clive, yes it appeared more people requested this version so we went with it and it certainly didn’t disappoint, both myself and BP2 will watch the Wembley one in our own time and it maybe a bonus vid on our Patreon, thanks for watching the comments :)

Yes there was a musical journey in the instrumental part. If you listen carefully in the background are Gregorian chants, Bach, banjo and Enter Sandman plus others.
Everyone speaks of Big 3, but for me there is "only" Big 5: Ghost Love Score, Greatest Show on Earth, Poet and the Pendulum, Shoemaker, Dead Boy's Poem (in any order). Those are Nightwish's undisputable masterpieces. Luckily, the quality doesn't drop because "core" Tuomas (excellent comment) is just that good. As you rightly noticed, Tuomas had a huge role here (other than making it :)), he worked overtime on those keyboards and had to be superfocused. He even made small mistakes, but that just shows it was live. You'll enjoy watching the Wembley version because they use several different instruments, interesting ending, subtitles and Troy is more featured. #wewerehere
@@BritPopsReact Shoemaker is yet another Nightwish face you'll not see again. About Eugene Shoemaker, planetary astronomer and geologist, founder of planetology and his remains are buried on the Moon (the only human there). There is a official lyrical video, if your path ever leads you there.
@@lekalla for me, Romanticide, Weak Fantasy and Master Passion Greed really hits the spot, but I can't objectively say they're better than Big 5 (creatively and quality wise).
Not the big bang, but the creation of the Earth by asteroid collisions etc (the fireworks!). Its about the Earth and evolution of life on it, rather than the whole universe. Professor Dawkins also quotes from Charles Darwin at the end. Troy is playing Irish Uilleann ("elbow") bagpipes, his speciality instrument. Good thoughtful reaction, guys. :)
Actually 4.6bn years is the age of the solar system, which is where we start. The big bang was about 14bn years. The song is based on Richard Dawkins book of the same name. The spoken part during the bows is a quote from the book and the final speech over the credits is from Darwin. The title of the album is based on that phrase from Dawkins and all the spoken pieces are read by Dawkins. In the Wembley version, Dawkins appears on stage in person to do the readings.
@Marcos Goitia Ruiz Aha, OK, that is the first time I have heart that, I am a huge Mike Oldfield fan and I think "Tubular Bells" was the first album I ever bought. Thank you for the information.
"Where do you park" I guess brits fall on the american side of the american/european split on this one. They mostly took public transportation. Buses and subway can move a LOT of people when properly designed.
4.8 billion years is the age of the earth. the big bang was about 13.8 years ago, and there is (currently) no way to know what was there at the moment of or before the big bang.

Thanks guy, much appreciated.
One request for future NW, when you get to doing 7 Days to the Wolves. Do yourselves and viewers a treat!! It's quite possibly the best of Annette AND one of Floors best. Do a double feature and react to both back to back.
Wembly Arena for Floor absolutely

And Gample Open air for Annette

@Daniel O'Sheigh
Cheers Daniel, great to hear from you and hope all is well.
We will take your comment on board and look to do the double feature, we don't usually do those, but it could be something we add to the channel more often.
All the best and always great to hear from you.
Hi guys, late again. This is pure musical theater or rock opera (whichever you want to call it). I agree with you about the keyboard BP1, although everyone is absolutely amazing the keyboard do stand out.
I really wanted to become a patron, but my hubby who has twice had to be reimbursed after illegal activity refuses to let his details out again. I’m so sorry…
Thanks for an amazing upload 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
@Elaine Howard
HI Elaine, sorry we put the Nightwish and anything European based out at 6PM UK time, we are seeing i it helps with the views and recommendations.
No worries about Patreon, we enjoy all your support and your comments, so that you very much.
Great reaction guys!!😁👍 There's Nightwish for you once again 😂 🤘🤘 Nightwish ❤🤘🤘 Enjoy your day 😊
Songs like this make me want to look into Tuomas's brain, you know it is vastly different from the rest of us!
@Chuey's Mama
B1 did really well, but to be honest once it got started there was no need to worry, the song and performance just pulled the viewer right in.
That was totally epic.
Thanks as always Chuey and your support.
We really appreciate it and yup, Floor!!
I like the different vibes the MUSIC sections give you. Thanks gentleman, Nice Reaction 😊
This show is unbelievable, but look and analyze the lyrics. That together makes it unique. Greetings fromthe Netherlands
Thanks
Thank you for the reaction, and this song kind of puts life into perspective. We worry daily about the most insignificant things. We are blessed to even be born.
Glad you did this version over the Wembley
Great reaction! Thank you!
There are many, many references to other music in this one. I believe Tuomas said once, that he would wonder if anybody would figure all of them out.
NWSU 🤘😎🤘.
I am glad it got everyone else as well…. Yes yes.. avengers of earth love that!… 🤘🤘
A friend of mine just lost her mom i used words from this for her comfort. She loved it and brought her comfort
What a great reaction on this masterpiece. Thanks for that.
Well done again mates!
You did a great job guys! justice to this piece of art. Thank you!
@Noebis_TheNetherlands
Thank you for the kind comment and for checking out our channel.
Cheers
They actually tried to get David Attenborough to do a voiceover on the latest album. He apologized but he was too busy at the time, so they got the actress Geraldine James instead (and she did it beautifully)
If you want to really hear what Tuomas can do you should check out disc 2 of the latest album. He doesn't write songs, he composes masterpieces.
Thanks for this Richard, we will be sure to check it out 😃 really Mr Attenborough… he is the ultimate legend, maybe next time 😌
@@BritPopsReact There is an extremely good fan made video for the whole of disc 2 (All The Works Of Nature Which Adorn The World).
Nightwish is very conscious of Nature, both it's beauty and fragility, as well as our impact on it,
particularly in their most recent albums.
Tuomas has created this long orchestral work in the last Nightwish Human::Nature album called:
All the Works of Nature that Adorn the World.
ua-cam.com/video/RnOdQ5WNZJk/v-deo.html
The video is 30+ min of beauty and gorgeous music in multiple parts in a fan created video, ending with Ad Astra.
@@ecbftl it's beautiful
There's this man who makes me shiver and cry, who gives so much hope, all this at the same time...................... His name???
TUOMAS HOLOPAINEN......................................case closed.
We are the universe made manifest. Here to understand itself. From the galaxies to the solar systems. From the planets to all the vastness in between. Hence from the star's once we came. To the star's we must return. Before the eternal night of us all. If for no other reason. To remind the universe.
!!!!WE WERE HERE!!!!
I was here
to write a greeting from Finland 🇫🇮🤘
Hello Dexter Fletcher & his friend. Any time day or night it's my wish to see Nightwish play live again :)
😂😂😂 made me laugh … I’ll let Dex know 🤣
As you correctly pointed out multiple times, there is so much going on, every small detail, so I recommend to watch it multiple times ;) and there are a lot of clues on the other songs on the CD, so just keep up the good work ;)
If I remember correctly in mixing stage they had 600 tracks to mix this Song.
The song is BRUTALLL. 🎸🎸
PEPINAZOOO. 👍👍
From Basque Country with ❤️.
🎸🎸🥁🥁🎤😁😁
The magnificence of this song can hardly be described in words. 'Epic' seems to me still very far understated. Tuomas can only be called a musical genius, and the musicians he has around him are perfect for converting his ideas into sound and voice. And also the team for the visual realization deserves proper respect in my opinion. A masterpiece in every aspect.

Thanks again, gents! I think you see why Ghost Love Score, Poet and the Pendulum and this one are considered their big three! Beyond epic.
Yep, it’s taken us a good few months but we said we were on a musical journey and we are! Thanks for the comment and watching us two idiots 🤣🤣
I am glad you managed to speak with the ‘other side’ and any thumbs up from extraterrestrial 👽 is a result! Thanks for watching 😁
You were right, they went through the history of music starting with some Gregorian chant, some magnificent J.S. Bach, there was someone else whose name I always forget and ending with the Metallica reference. Unlike most bands, Nightwish do not play encores, they play the last song and that is it! I rather like it that way.
Thanks, there is a nugget of information, didn’t know they didn’t play encores! When you end like that you don’t need one ☝️… thanks for watching 🤣🤣
You're thinking of Petzold I believe.
Floor Jansen - (English&Finnish Subtitles) Interview and Reportage From Tampere - ua-cam.com/video/B3NIfu0qvtg/v-deo.html.
Much appreciated on the link Risto, great comment and look forward more Nightwish
Another fantastic response guys. And indeed I wish I was there. Thank you.
@@BritPopsReact 😊🇫🇮❤️🎶✨🤘
Great reaction guys
When you remember this was the end of the show, they'd already performed Ghost. Love Score, Yours is an empty hope, Sleeping Son and so on. I actually like it when reactors do poet followed by GSOE, it let's them see Toumas at his darkest and his most optimistic
Correction! You get whiplash at a Nightwish concert haha
Thanks guys
❤️
Yes! Tuomas is a genius 😌 And this is masterpiece of all time, literally 🌏 🐠☀️ Thank you for your reaction 💯 Greetings from Finland. Subbed! 🤘
yes it is awesome, just want to point out though cause he doesn't get noticed as much but on the vocals, there are three harmonizing, Troy was also singing with Floor and Marco as he's also taken up a little of the slack now that Marco's gone.
Also, NW does not do encores. I think thats good, dont think it would suit after something like that
What else can one say but "We were here!" Great reaction guys. Well done BP1 for managing to last the course. You are right the we were here does hit home! Stay safe 🤘✌
Thanks Brian, that was a great watch and it certainly did hit home 🏠… thanks for watching 😊
Fantastic job guys
Great reaction guys one of the most amazing concerts I went too and will live in my memory
About time 🙄🤣🤣🤣 nice one guys.
@rezner101
We got there in the end.
Just posting some items and "Insta"and checked out your channel.
You have a cool vinyl collection there, BP 1 was impressed and we got some idea for future Metal songs.
Nice guitar collection too, I have few similar and also running the "Positive Grid Spark" its a great little amp
Oh, BP1 also called out Derby Country Stadium, he is a bit of a geek with his "FIFA" footy
Was he right?
Cheers
aw ... thank you for doing this ... your reaction to this really made my day ... Nightwish is special ... you are becoming one of my favorite reactors .. we were here .. the good the bad the ugly ..
Thanks Dan that’s a great comment :) Nightwish have certainly become a soft spot for us both!! :) thanks for watching !
Nice one mates. I would love to have been there but I saw them perform it at Bloodstock Festival 2018(Walton upon Trent) and it was an electric experience there we’re lots of people in tears by the end.
Loved that guy's, thankyou for doing this one its an epic masterpiece.
Your welcome kezca, it was epic 😁
Great job, gentlemen.
Thanks for watching Chris 😁
great reaction mates from the states
Thanks Frank! From the Brits with the Hits 😄🤣
Their latest album (double),
Human and Nature, the next one?! 😊. Again a major subject of Tuomas, mankind and Mother Earth.
Another masterpiece. 🔥
In my opinion, the best. ❤️
Piia also mentioned this and I think that’s a good call, also perhaps Anette as lead singer? Or perhaps a video one?
By The way I think Human Nature continues story of this Song.
Been waiting months for this! Good job guys!
Well it’s worth the wait for sure, thanks for watching 👌😂👍
Wow what an incredible experience, that was awesome, blimey this band is epic. Cheers!
I know … got us this time, it didn’t disappoint!!
Really nice analysis, guys. Well done!
Thank you very much for this awesome reaction. I'm big fan of yours and subbed. Greetings from Tampere, Finland. Stay safe!
Thx for this one. The song title describes our human being on this planet - we are living the greatest show…. it’s evolution…. 👍🏆
Also for this song - the lyrics will beam you up… there are sooo many things and persons to watch and understand, it’s quite impossible to understand it all.
Fun facts;
One new crab species (Tanidromites nightwishorum) was named after Nightwish in honor in particular for the 2015 album “Endless Forms Most Beautiful” about the evolution of life.
(Or Star One, which belongs to the same guy.)
Maybe starting for the official videos of "The day that the world breaks down" or "Lost children of the universe".
@@BritPopsReact thanks guys you know you commented on remembering words. This was the 17th song at Wembley and the 11th was The Poet and the Pendulum !!
Next must hear Creek Marys Blood live. Its also wonderful pease of history Native Americans , but check the meaning behind that. Its amazing, the End of and Era DVD live. Have fun with that 🙏
Yes absolutely, for me one of big 5 songs.
Thankx guys really enjoyed watching this with you, something been waiting for. Tuomas truly is an amazing songwriter/ composer. When the albun EFMB came out in 2015 and this song came on youtube, no liveshows yet, I always remember someone commenting 'they will never do this live" I hope that guy has seen this video :) now....you have to check out the new album 2nd cd from Human Nature, the Nature album and listen to Tuomas new music and you will hear something completely different and beautiful. It's as long as this song about 30 min. Worth listening too.
Thanks for the comment and knowledge pill 💊 Piia, always good to understand what we are watching and what’s to come 😜 we really did enjoy the experience and I enjoy all your comments, make sure to come with opus on our other music journeys 👌
Yes there was a musical journey in the instrumental part. If you listen carefully in the background are Gregorian chants, Bach, banjo and Enter Sandman plus others.
I knew BP2 had a good ear sometimes so he picked up Enter Sandman 😎
#wewerehere
Thanks Goran, love the comment and the info 😂 … big 5.. we have ,more to come 😛
@@BritPopsReact Shoemaker is yet another Nightwish face you'll not see again. About Eugene Shoemaker, planetary astronomer and geologist, founder of planetology and his remains are buried on the Moon (the only human there). There is a official lyrical video, if your path ever leads you there.
I'll add "Creek Mary's Blood" and ten minute epic "Beauty Of The Beast"
@@lekalla for me, Romanticide, Weak Fantasy and Master Passion Greed really hits the spot, but I can't objectively say they're better than Big 5 (creatively and quality wise).
I was talking about the longer songs so i'll add Song Of Myself too.
Hey BRITS!
@Still Racer
HEY to you too.
Thanks for watching
Not the big bang, but the creation of the Earth by asteroid collisions etc (the fireworks!). Its about the Earth and evolution of life on it, rather than the whole universe. Professor Dawkins also quotes from Charles Darwin at the end. Troy is playing Irish Uilleann ("elbow") bagpipes, his speciality instrument. Good thoughtful reaction, guys. :)
React to shoemaker if you like astronomy the last bit sends me to tears . It's got an amazing backstory.

Floor - Enter LUCA
Marko - Enter Ionia
Emppu - Enter Sandman
Thanks Two Face…. That was a moment to rewatch right there …. Here it now! 😁

Aha, OK, that is the first time I have heart that, I am a huge Mike Oldfield fan and I think "Tubular Bells" was the first album I ever bought.
