Dear people, Thank you all for the comments! To make it short, what Slash had to do was only to pick a winner and sign a guitar that would be delivered to the chosen. I agree that this is maybe the cheapest guitar that money can buy, but the real price is to have Slash choosing you as a winner as far as the guitar....It is only a trophy to remind you of that:) P.s and not to mention the exposure you receive having a spot in the Guitar world magazine and on the internet...
I agree with the fact you should've gotten a Gibson ,he could definitely afford to do this for such a dedicated fan and talented player. Amazing talent for someone so young. I can only imagine endless hours you've spent. Good thing to keep busy and focused on the ARTS. Congratulations youll have many Gibson some day. I didn't get my first until 45 yr old!

So 99.999% sure I can tell you what happened here. This wasn't Slash's fault, all he did was pick the winner and sign the guitar. What actually happened is this kid nailed Slash's tone and technique on a Gibson guitar REPLICA, and he even has a video of the replica being made! So the PR stunt for Gibson / Epiphone did not go exactly as planned and some butt-hurt marketing clown instead sent the cheapest guitar possible while still fulfilling the terms of the contest. Sorry, Henrik, you deserve way better. Bad move on Gibson's part I would say.

What actually happened is this kid nailed Slash's tone and technique on a Gibson guitar REPLICA, and he even has a video of the replica being made! So the PR stunt for Gibson / Epiphone did not go exactly as planned and some butt-hurt marketing clown instead sent the cheapest guitar possible while still fulfilling the terms of the contest.
