Dagan’s reaction is MY reaction every time I hear Slash’s tone!! The guy’s tone really is so unique!! The grit in the bridge pickup and then the smoothness in the neck are unlike anything else!! 🤤🤤
Mate, I’m so old I was buying “Appetite..” when it was their current album from Tower on Piccadilly - anyone remember? - and your Nightrain just gave me shivers down my spine. The power of Gibson.
Thanks Dagan for not being afraid to play Slash Riffs, in the world of "we won't play anything properly so we don't get de-monitsed.....". Awesome vids and playing as always. I ways look forward to your Vids. RNFNR!
Big Slash fan here. Seen G n' R live 3 times & Slash with both his Snakepit, plus the Conspirators. I've got a 2010 Custom Shop 'AFD' (Anniversary pressie from the missus). The Seymour Duncan APH-2 pups these are modelled off are really great sounding pups. They nail his tone pretty much perfectly.

Yo brother it doesn’t matter what guitar you play but every time you get in that zone you make me want that guitar!! It’s fun to watch you get into a specific guitar and artist and just rock out! You’re awesome brother!! 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
I have always loved Slash and his signature guitars. This is an absolute beast of a beauty. It looks great, sounds great, and it's from Slash, so it has to be good. Now, for the epiphone players like myself, we need an Epiphone Slash Collection Les Paul Jessica. For now, this is a great guitar. Rock on 🤘

Or just find a great honey burst and throw some slash pickups in there? I had a november burst and a few other post 2019 LP 50s, and there were no differences between them aside from the color and the pups. I preferred my wildwood standard over the slash LP but did add the slash pups and sold the november burst. I guess if the whole 3 piece top is important to you thats another thing, but if not just get a honey burst plain top and add some pickups.

Yes that sounds good and the way you are playing on it makes it sound eving better you took that Gibson Les Paul to a nother level that's what's what I would consider a 12 ranking 😮yep
Dagan what guitar strap is that ? Ur a tall guy like mysef and alot of regular straps are just to small. Need a longer strap . Cheers.. kick ass guitar by the way
They're making a killing off of these if you think about it. Pretty much just a Standard 50's with a less expensive top with an upcharge because it's a signature model.
Now, that's paint color is closer to the original. The other ones I have seen are too bright, too honey. Jessica is much more red. This one looks way better.
New day, same thing. Gibson Les Pauls, SGs, etc. can't really be improved upon, so instead, they decided to sell artist endorsed copies for higher prices. The Jimmy Page SG double neck, the Lizzy Hale Explorerbird, the Dave Mustaine Flying V, etc. Fender can't improve on the Strat or Tele, so they relic them so you can pretend that it's a vintage guitar. Don't do it! Save some money and buy a used guitar instead and use your own blood, sweat, tears, and gigs to get it to look that way. Or don't, and take care of it instead. I have had the same Strat i bought used for 30 years, and after countless hours of playing and gigs, it still looks fantastic because I take care of it.
They could improve their QC.... I stopped buying Gibson after going through 4 guitars with major QC issues, that cost thousands of dollars. No thanks, I'll stick with PRS for my more expensive guitars. I have one Gibson today, a Les Paul, and the only reason it's done right is because I ordered it from the custom shop. I'm mainly an Ibanez and Charvel player, but sometimes I like to switch it up with a PRS or a Fender when I'm feeling the blues. I'm not saying all Gibson guitars are bad... but you really have to shop around to find one that's worth buying, outside of ordering one custom.
@american_psycho1147 I have 11 guitars, including a 1977 LP custom, a PRS 513, the Strat, and a Taylor. All bought used. It's not that I can't afford them, I just don't see the point.
Really? A "used" 1959 Gibson Les Paul is nearly the price of a new house dude. You dont have to be a "fan boy" to be able to do basic math. Besides,...most technology undergoes incremental improvements throughout the active life of the product design. Cars got seatbelts, bigger better engines, air bags, brighter headlights,.etc etc,.. Airplanes got jet engines and ditched propellers. Televisions went from heavy picture tubes into the digital age and got lighter, more reliable, and got wifi. The Strat went from 3 selector switch to a 5 way, the new single coils are really stacked humbuckers and "noiseless" and the bridge pickup has been connected to the tone knob since the mid 90s. Modern Les Pauls have weight relief , coil taps, coil splits and briefly a volute on the neck to help with headstock breaks and "automatic tuners",.but the less said about the robo-tuners the better LoL! Signature guitars have been around in large numbers for the last several decades,.i have no idea why youve just caught onto them now,.LoL. Eddie was putting his name on stuff, or at lest actively promoting his gear back when magazines like Guitar World were the only mass media devoted to this subject. Most people whom buy these instruments arent gigging musicians at all,..and many whom are, are only part-time and play in church or do a few gigs over a few weekends,..theres no real opportunity to mimic Clapton and Page and play countless shows night after night over years/decades to get that "used" look SRV, Mike McCready and John Frusciante all have Strats that look pretty,.well,."used",.but sound fantastic, and maybe a lot of folks find that look inspirational! I dont want to invest good money in something that isnt going to change over time and that looks just like everyone else guitar. If youve seen one fiesta red or cherry red strat youve seen them all,..seen one blue, green or white strat,..youve seen them all. A "used" looking reissue instrument from the classic rock era costs orders of magnitude less than a vintage instrument that might just have dodgy construction. You personally might not like it ,.but the math is irrefutable,..4 or 5 grand for a custom shop is less than 35 or 40 plus for a guitar made when manufacturing was still post war era.
