Exciting progress, slow going back breaking work and I can see how you really have to keep your whits about you for safety. Will be great so see the tunnels you open up. Thanks for all you do!
Thanks for sharing an update on your progress, impressive. Trust you and sharon had a good Christmas... Best wishes for the New Year. Take care and stay safe... ⛏⚒⛏
Thanks for the update Frank and Sharon. Great to see the excellent work you are doing. Can't wait to see the hidden workings on that level. Please be careful both. Best wishes 👍
A belated Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to come !!! Bless you both and may the wind always be at your back !! I love the accomplishments you have made and it's almost getting unrecognizable with all the rock you have moved out. Cheers for New Years Eve and keep the shiny side up and the dirty side down !!!
Hi to you both, ive not seen your channel for a while but this vidro came up on my feed. Ive got to say you have really put the work into your mine! The progress is unbelievable great job. You both deserve every success for 2025. Stay safe both of you you have come this far! ❤ from UK.
Frank so good to hear from you! Thanks for giving me a sneak peak preview to the Yankee Boy mine a while back, maybe 9ish months ago?... I really enjoyed helping you haul timbers into the mine with you. Wish you all the best!
That's quite a project, kudos. There are probably good reasons not to do this, but if was me, my basic long term goal would be to remove every loose piece of rock. And I'd use machinery as much as possible, a loco and a mucker, and extend the tracks to where they're needed. Build a pipeline, figuratively speaking, instead of hauling buckets. As for the big rocks you've been stacking, I'd try to figure out a way to remove them. But of course that's just me sitting in front of my computer spit-balling, it's your sandbox.
I dunno man. You've earned my trust and I admire the incredible work you've done in that mine and abroad but working in that slip has got to be getting damn near stupid. And too boot you're projecting an incident . Anyways, hope you guys had an extensive holiday break and are coming back fresh. Maybe you have already worked past the apparently dangerous conditions. Incredible bordering on insane! Lol i cant wait to see the museum.
Love ya videos and thanks for the great work you do given us this footage Is it always wet under the top soil if so how come Does that mean the rock on the walls is damp or no😊
I would like to see how you get so much material hauled out to fill a small dumptruck every day... how do you do it??! With how many are you carrying out that backbreaking work? Also, are there any earlier videos of yours on this museum + mining project? (Couldn't find one by myself.) Great thing(s) man what you're doing!
Just me and my wheelbarrow mostly. If you go to my UA-cam channel Exploring Abandoned Mines there is a playlist called Yankee Boy Mine. There about 20 videos going back to when we started.
Hey Sir. I know you guys are closed until next year. But I have a question. You said you get ore out of the ground. What do you use that ore for? Just asking
When u going to buy an electric push or pull tugger? You getting old bro! They make them small & powerful today. No solar power one though for the mine shaft bro.
I'm sorry but I know you don't care but your channel is not fun to watch anymore because you used to explore all kinds of Mines you know you don't and this is not good content to me but I know you don't care so I hope life treats you good and I hope you get everything out of what you want to
If you have no experience or knowledge of mining then you are quite likely going to get hurt real bad if not dead. Old workings are dangerous and not for rookies. You will not only end up hurt but somebody will have to go get you.
Super time capsule , looks like that old Tippy is still working perfectly !
That old Tippy is a workhorse!
EXCELLENT TOUR/UPDATE!👍👍👌👌😎😎Just be safe!!! Hi Sharon!!! Hope you had a good Christmas!!

Pretty cool to see Tippy the hundred year old cart still workin hard!
She's a workhorse!
That's awesome, love how you're leaving some trash for others to discover later!
Artifacts...not trash! ha ha
Thanks for the progress report, Frank & Sharon!
I said a few years back, you can move mountains, well, you have moved a lot of that mountain!
We're slowly chipping away at it.
Exciting progress, slow going back breaking work and I can see how you really have to keep your whits about you for safety. Will be great so see the tunnels you open up. Thanks for all you do!

We have hauled a whole forest in there!

Good morning from Southeast South Dakota
Good morning!
I remember saying at the time it was best to take it all out as you won;t know if you miss something! Good luck and happy new year!
It seems to be happening...slowly but surely!
Awesome video thank you and Merry Christmas my friends!!! Progress is coming along nicely 👌
Awesome mine

I admire all the hard work you guys have done! Awesome! I cant wait to come check it out
Come on up when we open!
@exploringabandonedmines i plan on it 😊
Thx Frank,happy new year!
Thanks and happy new year to you too!
I suffer panic and anxiety attacks just watching the video! I can't imagine what being down there in person would be like.
I remember when you were burning brush and chucking piles down that very hole!
Not the same hole that was up at the 2800 level.
That’s going to be something to see when you are done.
thats some pretty good road base your pulling out of that mine its got the perfect amount of fines to it
It varies some is too coarse, some too fine and some is perfect!
Happy New year guys and hears hoping for a good 2025 for you both
Hey, is that my old tow rope?
Yup!
Use big timber and wedges to hold those planks frank
Ardox spikes!
When did the mine close down ¿
1941
Ray those Hanging walls look like shite. There a bunch of weight just hanging off of it. Stay safe Brother.
13:25 oh oh.. man that's sketchy AF 😮

It would take a lot of time and money to put air and rail everywhere in the mine!
@@exploringabandonedmines
Frank, you've got lots of time and money. Go for it!
No I never stopped for the holidays...kept right on working every day!
@exploringabandonedmines cant say im surprised, hope your past the worst of it! 🎅🤶🧑🎄
Love ya videos and thanks for the great work you do given us this footage
Is it always wet under the top soil if so how come
Does that mean the rock on the walls is damp or no😊
It depends on how fractured the rock below the soil is, how much recent precipitation and on air flow in the mine.
@exploringabandonedmines
O ok thanks 😊
I would like to see how you get so much material hauled out to fill a small dumptruck every day... how do you do it??! With how many are you carrying out that backbreaking work? Nothing it gets dumped over the bank. We are restoring the mine not operating it.
@@exploringabandonedmines Ok cool. Have a Happy New Year sir
The big wat there frank lmaooooo
Skaggy old rope
Wuena Frank
Better stop putting off those safety precautions!
My safety program boasts a 100% success rate!
Till it doesn’t, lol.
Stay safe wouldn’t want to lose either one of you.
When u going to buy an electric push or pull tugger? You getting old bro! They make them small & powerful today. No solar power one though for the mine shaft bro.
I have an electric winch but am not using it for anything. The waste rock is going down and out, Gravity does most of the work!
I'm sorry but I know you don't care but your channel is not fun to watch anymore because you used to explore all kinds of Mines you know you don't and this is not good content to me but I know you don't care so I hope life treats you good and I hope you get everything out of what you want to
You can always watch our older videos if you prefer them. We are doing what we enjoy. People can choose to watch or not it is up to them.
I'm sorry and I know you don't care but what a dumb comment! So just move on, your life seems to suck anyway, but I know you don't care.
Where is your girlfriend?
Enjoying the holidays with her family...while I work in the mine!
If you have no experience or knowledge of mining then you are quite likely going to get hurt real bad if not dead. Old workings are dangerous and not for rookies. You will not only end up hurt but somebody will have to go get you.
All true...however I think I have a little experience and knowledge of mining!
If I ever need a man to move a mountain. Call Frank" Merry Christmas..
We aren't moving it...just hollowing it out!
