Awesome video your 2 of a kind love seeing how a mine works you two are amazing bringing this story to life all your hard work again thank you both stay safe
Oh my, great seeing a live collapse happening right before my eyes. All that timber blocking that shaft reminded me of a constipated mine getting ready to drop its load, lol. Nice watching you guys slowly awakening this mine. Thanks for the fantastic updates.
Looks like you have found a good woman there, Frank. These days that's rarer than a gold mine and worth more also. Treasure her like palladium. Good luck with the mine and try to be safe.
I know this a month ago know, but that material coming down is ABSOLUTELY perfect for backfill/trails - roads! With the water draining at the dump point, it's almost a perfect mix of wet with the material-makes it pack excellent. Plus really is a double bonus on the labor/return ratio, as all materials being purposed to immediate improvement. Truly hope nothing more serious wrong up that shaft though, it does seem to be a lot of lumber coming out of the muck. Look forward to the progress beyond that shaft! Good luck, Cheers to all.
Just great work you are doing to get the mine open; I get to sit at home and cheer you on! Best of luck as you make more progress!! Thanks for sharing!!
Wow! This is so brilliant and interesting - you guys are awesome. It was great to hear the count of loads - that was a heck of a number - well done. I love the filming of you 2 hauling the carts out of there, and the old style count with the dots was so cool. Well done to the volunteers too, great that they were able to help you out. The bear looked so cute!! What a show, look forward to the next update on the Yankee Boy. Thank you Frank & Sharon ❤️❤️❤️❤️ be safe 👷🏻♂️⛏👷🏻♀️⛏
I have never been in a true mine like this, but this video is super cool. I just wish some day that I could visit an old abandoned mine, but take people with me that knows what they are doing and that way we can all stay safe. Great video.....looking forward to the next one! :)
Dreams coming true. Just hope those Bears don't come in there, that would be bad. Stay packing. Frank, Sharron and yr crew, thanks for entertaining US. 🤘💙
Thank you Frank, I really enjoyed this video. Real mining... I had no idea how you would build an ore shoot but now I have an idea of what the old miners had to face every day :-)
Hi folks ☺️ Hi Frank Hi Sharon and the happy helpers , wow how exciting to see you all working 💪 hard to get the great museum project up and running realy enjoyed watching 👀 it's great 👍 will keep watching Thanks 😊
Frank, we spiraled through that bad area when we got it to quit raining rock, We got a huge pile of used road grader blades from the county and drove then in the roof then used a hydralic ram to push up and put pressure on the blades then shored under the blades.
I have been busy lately (well not as busy as you guys), and I have had to give up a lot of my You Tube time. Have stopped watching most of my subscriptions. But not your channel! Always enjoy watching what you and Sharon are up to, and the work you are doing on your own mine is very interesting. Keep up the good work!
That's awesome. It's always a blessing to have extra help. That's scary but you also want to see the other side. Wow you guys all got far into the mine. Nice weather. 🙏☀️🌻
What a wonderful job you have done. Yankee Boy.is really coming along. That last place you are working on is so scary. Please be careful. Sharon you are such a hard worker. Keeping up with Frank. Stay safe my friends.
Ftank, I had over 700 loads out the door from where they blew up the main intersection. What we were digging out was fock and dirt from three levels above us. The ground collapsed next to tunnel no.3 above us and opened up a shaft that went down to where we were gigging. We then had to shore up the upper end of that shaft to keep the rocks from raining on us.
Fantastic work guys, I bet it's an amazing feeling clearing out all that material knowing there's more to explore further along!! Looking forward to seeing more
Absolutely loving this new adventure. Its got me wishing I wasn't thousands of miles away as I would love to help with your new venture. Please keep these cracking episodes coming wishing you both good health from England
Great episode Frank, very interesting to see the muck sheet being used and the amount of carts you’ve filled is amazing, looking forward to seeing more 👍
This is fascinating, a lot of work but this is how it was done and it's great to see it documented. Good work!! At 17:40 I think we see the real reason they put in a 2 - 3 % slope to the adit. Sure it helps with drainage but saves a lot of backache too.
Well, when the debris starts sliding that freely, I would tend to think you either hit a pocket or you are clearing the shaft. You definitely have a full cart load with that really large rock. I'd love to be there !!!! Hugs and Prayers for all of you !!!
Amazing that you had this mine absolutely love the progress even getting done considering it's just been you your wife and I think a random few people so far now having some volunteers in there definitely make some headway cannot wait to see what's beyond the collapse. The anticipation is killing me lol congratulations on the mind and all the work so far thank you for all her work you put in the videos for us it is much much greatly appreciated thank you.
Hello Frank Hello Sharon You all do a great work Thank you for the update . I hope to join you for help But in this times it is not so easy to get to Canada from Germany But i belive that it will be possibel Until we meet stay save and take care Greetings from Germany Yours Frank Galetzka
Nice timbering in there. Cart rolling smooth, taking a bite outta that collapse… damn good video. Be kind sad when there’s no more hard work and mysteries to undig.
Yeah good going it’s cool to actually see you pair working and making some headway. Lucky 🍀 you get a bit of help from your volunteers and of course your great partner Sharon. PRETTY DAMM COOL !!!! ❤️ Tie a length to the full ore cart attach that timber to it and give the cart a good shove. That way you can be down the track a ways. Should rip out that stuck timber maybe. Lol I’m rough as guts but !!!! Cool riff by the ADDITS Wish I was a richer man Frank? I would fly over and help out . Angels are good on the shovel even though sometimes they are in disguise lol
That was an awesome video. You and sharon have put some much time into this mine. This should be featured with the museum when some asked what dis it sound like when they were mining. Please be safe as you can be😅
Frank, where is the mucker? That is a great job of timbering. Really getting a better idea how this stuff was done. I know that we will not make it up this year but I'm really hoping for next year. I'd like to see the museum but really would like to get my hands dirty in the mine.
Your a miner a mucker and one hack of a good man Frank. Lol my husband is a '60s child . He said you have that way about you that people just don't have anymore. Just all around good people. The mind is looking so awesome. We definitely want to come and visit you guys when Trudeau isn't so crazy about keeping his Canadians safe. Lol. My old man doesn't like Trudeau much at all. Lol stay safe. God bless 🙏
Good stuff, the mine is coming along nicely. Jeff Williams says....who needs to go to a gym when you own a Gold mine.😁. Always keen for more. Pete Australia 🇦🇺
You all are kickin Ass!! So are ya thinking you're mucking out a shaft or an Ore shoot? Is it all country rock or Ore material? Can't wait till ya break on through!!🤙🤞
Thanks for the progress report, Frank & Sharon! Progress takes time, inch by inch, foot by foot, you will get the job done! I think they usually put the ore shoot in first. But, you have to do, what ya gotta do to get the job done!
You have to drive drift at least +1/2% grade . If you don't, the face will always be under water and your drift will eventually flood . That is why you drill the far right lifter (bottom hole) at a negative grade which makes a ditch that will drain water to the entrance or shaft . It doesn't hurt the trip out with a train of loaded cars is downhill .
thank you to all yur helpers . thank you for helping . in the yankee boy mine ....
Loved this - be safe!
This was some of the best content so far Love you guys

Minus the explosives, as this is already rubble.
Another great video you too.!!!. Be safe!!!!

The only bad thing is that we find some nails in the muck, hard on tires!
Love the way you work together
the joys of mucking ......ahhhh yes. Can't wait to see that shaft muck free. Be careful in there , and watch them slabs....
It has been fun so far!
💭

Thank you Frank, I really enjoyed this video. Real mining... I had no idea how you would build an ore shoot but now I have an idea of what the old miners had to face every day :-)
We are learning a lot as we go.
@@exploringabandonedmines I'm thinking a lot of miners worked that way and the ones that learned quickly stayed alive to mine another day.
Awesome content Frank and Sharon. 🤟. Thank you so much. Great way to send my Friday evening..
Glad you enjoyed it
Love your Intros. When i seen the title, I thought you had another hug collapse, but it was before you put up the museum. That sure is some exercise.

I was mesmerized! Super fascinating! Thanks, Frank & Sharon!!

I wish I had her energy!! I could get my house redone then!!!
Wild stuff guys. Lots of fun happening 👍
Frank, we spiraled through that bad area when we got it to quit raining rock, We got a huge pile of used road grader blades from the county and drove then in the roof then used a hydralic ram to push up and put pressure on the blades then shored under the blades.

You and me both!

Yes you wouldn't want to push loaded cars up the hill!
Nothing but hard work! That aside, it looks like a bit of fun as well! Just as long as no one gets hurt. Press on!
Goos Stuff, thanks again for sharing
I really enjoyed the video!
You guys are awesome and so are you sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Good evening from Southeast South Dakota

Well, when the debris starts sliding that freely, I would tend to think you either hit a pocket or you are clearing the shaft. You definitely have a full cart load with that really large rock. I'd love to be there !!!! Hugs and Prayers for all of you !!!

Until we meet stay save and take care
Greetings from Germany
Yours Frank Galetzka
I understand
Thanks for the update on the Yankee Boy Mine. I can't help but wonder if there is any gold ore in all of the debris you have removed. Nice work!
A little I bet.
Definitely need to visit the museum when it’s open, the first mine I went in was right outside grand forks as well
Enjoyed this one. I like them all but this one was interesting thanks guys!
Glad to hear it!
Great video. Like Jeff says, it’s not work, it’s exercise.
Nice timbering in there. Cart rolling smooth, taking a bite outta that collapse… damn good video. Be kind sad when there’s no more hard work and mysteries to undig.
There never seems to be an end to hard work if you look!
Every week, I see Sharon being more and more that brains of the operation.
Ha!
Really great progress! I bet there is twice as much still in there! Can you reuse some of that wood? Give Boo a hug from me!!!
The wood is waterlogged. Maybe we could make some benches for artifacts in the mine.
That cart rolls really nice. I always thought of them being stiff and hard to move even on flat ground.
It does! It is a newer one with roller bearings.
you are awesome ,
Yeah good going it’s cool to actually see you pair working and making some headway. Lucky 🍀 you get a bit of help from your volunteers and of course your great partner Sharon.
PRETTY DAMM COOL !!!! ❤️
Tie a length to the full ore cart attach that timber to it and give the cart a good shove. That way you can be down the track a ways. Should rip out that stuck timber maybe. Lol
I’m rough as guts but !!!!
Cool riff by the ADDITS
Wish I was a richer man Frank? I would fly over and help out . Angels are good on the shovel even though sometimes they are in disguise lol
Thanks 👍
Amazing progress! I cannot wait to see what's next.
You and me both!
That was an awesome video. You and sharon have put some much time into this mine. This should be featured with the museum when some asked what dis it sound like when they were mining. Please be safe as you can be😅

It is in the museum. We still don't have the air compressor running.
you'll be needing your trammer in there next Frank & Sharon! keep up the good work and I'll see you both in next weeks episode 👍
God bless 🙏
We don't like him all that much either!
Love ❤️ the progress. Looking good.
Good stuff, the mine is coming along nicely.
Jeff Williams says....who needs to go to a gym when you own a Gold mine.😁.
Always keen for more.
Pete Australia 🇦🇺
Make sure you take good care of those Volunteers.
Good workout for sure.
im so excited to see the next one !
You all are kickin Ass!! So are ya thinking you're mucking out a shaft or an Ore shoot? Is it all country rock or Ore material? Can't wait till ya break on through!!🤙🤞
An or pass, but it might also have a manway.
Thanks for the progress report, Frank & Sharon! Progress takes time, inch by inch, foot by foot, you will get the job done! I think they usually put the ore shoot in first. But, you have to do, what ya gotta do to get the job done!
I guessed 133! Prolly should get a lottery ticket..
I was Just ready for sleep , 2 am local time . Now a got some extra time, thanks
Seems quite beneficial to have a slight downhill slope outward on the tracks.
The old timers were pretty smart!
Sketchy factor 10... Nice job gang. I enjoy these videos.
You are the man good damn work
You guys are doing great! Nice work...
Looks like the adze is a good pelican for Frank! Bloody hard work mucking! Good luck with it crew. Brings back memories of 50 years ago.
👣👣
Hopefully next time you guys need some help I can make it up there, love to meet you guys and help out in the mine!!
Good work !!
Thanks a lot!
Sure wish I could come help. I’m in Mohave county Arizona, a little far and expensive for right now to travel.
Wow that black bear is beautiful…. A bit close though! 🫣
That was cool. Y'all got a good echo and you really work good together. Be looking forward to the next.
