    Best temp probes and the instant probe are awesome, too. Worth the money

    I love the technology of these wireless temp probes and the convenience of using them. These are a great price, especially since you get TWO probes! That's really great! And Johnny, those chicken quarters are the juiciest I've seen! They definitely look delicious!👍😋

    I barely saw these yesterday and went on the site and saw they have a quad now, needless to say I got the quad.

    I have a Goldens Kamado as well. In the real world, does the Typhur Sync work with the Goldens lid closed? Thanks. Steve

    • @Viewtoagrill
      @Viewtoagrill  4 місяці тому +1

      Yes, because the thermometer send a signal to the docking station and the docking station transmits to your phone ap. As long as the docking station is close, you will be fine... or at least it has worked fine for me in the past.

    How would you compare this to the Fireboard Spark or the TempSpike?

    • @Viewtoagrill
      @Viewtoagrill  Рік тому +1

      Hello Headless,
      The Fireboard Spark is a handheld thermometer so I don’t think I can make a fair comparison of the two.
      ThermoPro just came out with a Twin TempSpike that has a regular price of 179 which is a little less. I would definitely be interested in testing it out.
      I have a MeatStick which I like and an INKBIRD which I also like. The INKBIRD is a great option if you are not looking for a lot of graphs and other high end features.
      This thermometer has a great warranty and made of high quality materials with the latest technology. I am an IT guy… so I do like the tech in it.

      @Viewtoagrill Keep us posted with long term reliability. I don't need graphs, all I need is the ability to measure internal and ambient temperatures. If I mess up. I usually know why. Honestly, if the Fireboard Spark had 2 ports, it would literally be the best thing on the market, in my honest opinion.

    What seasoning did you use Johnny? That chicken looked Amazing!

    • @Viewtoagrill
      @Viewtoagrill  Рік тому

      Find an SPG. Then…
      70% SPG
      20% Lemon Pepper
      10% Italian Seasoning
      Mix and use.

    How accurate are the ambient temperature sensors?

    • @Viewtoagrill
      @Viewtoagrill  11 місяців тому +1

      Hello Hoss, I have not tested them against other thermometers. I think I need to say that before the next sentence. I have no reason to doubt the accuracy of the ambient temperature. I have used this thermometer a few times and the results of my pork butt and ham have been spot on. Both cooks I had to control the ambient temp.
      So far what I like most about this thermometer is that it does not disconnect from my phone like the other brands, not saying it has not never disconnected but with the WiFi option the connection is better than the other brands I have.

    The positioning of the sensors in the probes is not well designed. They should be evenly spaced out.

    • @Viewtoagrill
      @Viewtoagrill  Рік тому +1

      Typhur is different in that respect. Other multi sensor thermometers do have them evenly spaced out. They did not share the “science” they used with me for the placement of the sensors. I can say that the results were fantastic.

    • @Kirko_bangz
      @Kirko_bangz Рік тому +2

      I’m sure they (Typhur) put R&D into the sensor spacing.

    • @bostonbesteats364
      @bostonbesteats364 Рік тому +1

      @@Kirko_bangz If you don't evenly space the sensors, you are reduced to using the tip to sense the core. Check out the Combustion thermometer, which has a much better solution than this
