Never lose track of time - especially in the dark. Limited to 500 pieces, our U50 S L model embodies this aspiration in a special way. For example, the entire dial and key marker on the rotating bezel glow and not, as is normally the case, just the indices and hands. This is made possible by the unusual luminous paint application on the dial. In terms of its production, an innovative method is used to incorporate the luminous paint into a mould using a special casting process. After hardening, a hybrid ceramic component is created, which is joined to the metallic base dial. In the final processing step, the two combined components are printed. The result is rather remarkable - thanks to the high concentration and large surface area of the luminous paint, we achieve extreme luminosity and thus perfect readability - in a quality never seen before! In terms of appearance, the watch boasts a striking design with a display that concentrates on the essentials, realised in a comfortable diameter size of 41 mm! Another plus: outstanding suitability for everyday use. The case and crown are made of high-strength seawater-resistant German Submarine Steel. The Black Hard Coating of the case, crown and rotating bezel skilfully showcases this unusual look and forms a perfect contrast to the dial. Furthermore, thanks to TEGIMENT technology, a special hardening process for Submarine Steel, the Black Hard Coating is extremely scratch-resistant. We have designed the rotating bezel so that it is captive in the case.
There is no doubt that the U50 S L is well equipped - as confirmed by the DNV. This independent classification company verifies and certifies pressure resistance to a diving depth of 500 metres (= 50 bar) and temperature resistance and functionality in accordance with the European diving equipment standards.
Thanks for featuring our lume dialed U50 S - cheers from #sinncity Frankfurt!
Anytime guys 👍🏻
I quite like this version, but the marks left by the hands when recharging the lume before bedtime would really annoy me.
A quick once over with a UV flashlight and the hole of the dial including under the hands John 👍🏻
Really good to see someone making a diver watch that looks different to the standard design. It is a super looking watch Barry, easy to see why you would like to keep it!
It simply a stunner this one I think its almost impossible to film in a bad light
Mine comes in Tuesday. I ordered the day they came out.. Can't wait. I also have a u50 pro and u50 blue.
Lucky guy I also love the Blue model 👍🏻
Does black case makes it smaller ?
Nope Sir its still the same size but does look smaller being black
Damn you Sir! Now I need to add another Sinn to my hit list! That thing is amazing!
10 out of 10 simple as that, enough said Sir
we need a full lume dial walk off
Now that would be an interesting video 👍🏻
Got mine 2 weeks ago. Absolute stunner. I always wanted a no date version of the tegimented U50. The full lume dial is a nice bonus. 🙌
Lucky guy thats a very very cool watch you have there, enjoy Sir
@@user-mw4eq5mq4b There is one available at First Class Watches for sale
I have the same piece but my bezel does not have back play.
That’s good Gavin as pretty much everyone I’ve ever had has had some back play mate 👍🏻
Oops I was wrong, definitely had some back play.
No problem Gavin PS you have an amazing watch there
Great review thank you! I received this watch a week ago unfortunately it’s running +40spd. Shame as it taken some of the excitement away. Have to post it back to the AD at my own risk! Presumably it passed QC when it left the Sinn factory any ideas as to why reaching me via an AD it would start running fast? What is acceptable accuracy for this movement?
Thats a shame but what I find is when posted out sometimes watches can pick up magnetism even ones with a silicone balance spring, So a quick 2sec de-mag can sort them out. Almost every Sinn I've tested runs with COSC spec so no more than +6 once I picked up a used 104 still under warranty and that was running +20 so I sent to the UK service center and they said that all new Sinn's should run to with in COSC specs Stephen
Thank you Rowland and the team at First class watches!
They have been stars
Sinn makes some great watches for sure
SO true I feel the U50 is a real stand out model, I would love to have one in my collection at some point in the future
We can talk about how cool it is, but what i like is that they are going no-date now which i think is new in the dive collection? Saw the same on their other limited edition U1 watch. Hope they go that route with future U50's because im on a hunt for a no-date currently and im very much into german designs.
I personally don’t mine a date window it’s day date I’m not so keen on
Hi Barry, what an impressive piece! It's a shame it's limited 😢. Its interesting to see that they've specified a SW300.2 for this one: that's worth a premium in itself.
Thanks for this, you lucky chap... take it easy, LG Bob 🍻
It gorgeous matey
Thx for the great vid! Was so excited to see a review on this model. Can you explain Heinrich remove the AR coating on the outside?
Hi and thanks Sir, I did a video some time showing how to remove it hope it helps ua-cam.com/video/tIdo7SdPKqM/v-deo.htmlsi=r7Sdou_Fhn9Y0thO
@@ClickSpringReview cool! Thanks for the reply 🙏🏽😊
Anytime Sir 👍🏻
Cracking. 👍🏻 BTW… none of these diver extensions on bracelets (no matter the brand) are of any use if you are wearing a dry suit. Suitable for thin neoprene wetsuits only. 😮 As we are nearly all desk divers, it probably doesn’t matter though.
You soon going to be my go to for info about diving matey
So which do prefer between this and the MOP version. The white certainly looks like a great watch. Thanks for the review
I've been thinking about that very thing Alex :) it's a tough on both are amazing I love the lume on this but the dial of the MOP is stunning. You can't go wrong with either but today it would be this one
Watches are my hobbie…. So I tend to share this with my grand ma, so we talk about them, as she also enjoys watching them…. I show her this watch and she goes and tells me: Uhh, such a simple, yet, such beautiful watch…. I think that says it all
I like her thinking what she said really sums it up, hats off to her
Brilliant watch, and the video is much appreciated - we're sorely lacking in real world hands on video and photos of this thing!
Regarding the bezel, are all of the numerals and markers in the bezel still engraved and paint filled, or is the bezel surface totally flat with the markers and numerals entirely painted on top?
Hi sir I've just checked for you and are engraved I'd say about a 1/4 of mill, There really aren't many videos of this one out there I was luck to get this one to review
I saw and handled this watch in person on Feb 14 when it was released, and applause to you for getting some very good shots to make this watch looking as good in person as it does on UA-cam. I probably missed my chance getting one of 300 but i think I'm going with hanhart black Friday because I already have an U50S and U50 hydro, so next U50 is probably a UTC. I do like this white lume more than green lume. Anyhow keep the good reviews coming.
Being you already have the U50s I think your right going with the Hanhart, its still a brand I have yet to review PS cheers for the kind comments :)
I am considering this watch. I really like it. An orange/red minute hand would have been interesting
I'm not so sure myself Sir but I'f you wanted to modify it its something a watchmaker like myself could do for you :)
Such a gorgeous and unique watch, it’s going to be my next grail watch for sure
You have good taste Sir 👍🏻
Another great review Barry 👍 The U50 SL is 100% bad a$$
Thanks Shannon it would of been impossible to show this model in a bad light, the watch is amazing
nice but the cost is crazy for not well known watch.
Most watch guys know of Sinn Mark, price wise there are not many watches which can match it, Top Grade movement case harden to 1800vh , WR to 500m for £2.8k
Actually Barry, I've just checked the Sinn website and this has a SW300.1 so it probably doesn't have 55 hours of power reserve. It's still a fabulous watch though... 🙂👍
Hi Bob the new SW300 movements have the new barrel so they should have up to 56 hours matey. Even older SW300 movement you can simply just swap it over and get the extra power reserve 😎
@@ClickSpringReview Ah... Thanks for the info Barry 👍 🍻
Anytime matey, I'm just hoping to get a 903 now 🤞🏼
@@ClickSpringReview Good luck! When you've got it I hope you're going to "review" it here... The quote marks are because there's no such thing as a Sinn review, just a shared appreciation of an excellent watch. I'm assuming that the SW300 is no longer subdivided into "1" with about 40 hours power and "2" with 55 hours... Have a good week Barry, LG Bob 🍻 👋
This dial without the black watchcase❤
I personally love the contrast between the to but thats why we are all different Sir
