Great video ....drone footage awesome. How heavy were the bucks? Taken tracking? Love your camp too . Would be interested in hearing more about your solar/wind systems.
Thanks Bruce mine was 203 lbs my buddies was 230 lbs dressed out. I will make a video of the solar and wind soon I hope once these crazy times get back to normal.
It helps being able to relate what it's like hunting the great north woods of Maine. The way you presented the video was like I was there. One can't really fully appreciate it unless one experiences it.
Thanks Doug appreciate that!! My buddy Jared has been on me for some years to start a UA-cam channel most of the footage was just stuff I had on my phone. It’s been a learning process learn computers and all that goes along with it I’ve never wanted to learn how to use them until just recently. This season should be a good one I hope to capture more of the experience. Looking forward to sharing it with all of you. Thanks for watching
Hey thanks J appreciate it. Your not kidding those jet sleds are worth their weight in gold. Looking forward to the up coming season hopefully I’ll will have some good luck and content to work with.
@@offgridcabinaddict6314 I've been mounting a tactacam on my rifle for tracking. Been deer hunting in the allagash region for years. Good luck this season
A friend of mine just got one of those I’m curious how the footage is out of it. Let me know what you think of yours. I love my Williams peep site I’m not ready to give it up yet. At least while I still have good vision. Good luck this season. Shoot straight my friend and Let me know how you make out.
What would it cost for a couple of sixty plus year old North Carolina hillbillys to come up there and join you guys for a three day hunt ? One of us is a twenty year fishing guide , the other is a beef cattle farmer that keeps five hundred head by himself,, no help ,, we ain’t never been nowhere, to tied down to our obligations but would love to come up there just to see what it’s like to actually be in a place where man made boundaries are not the norm.,,,oh I have to warm you ,, we are both republicans and baptist
Thanks Bobby! Unfortunately Im not a registered Maine guide all tho I have thought about becoming one. So I can’t guide people at this time other wise I’d love to. That’s why I love hunting Maine it’s still wild and free. Not all posted up with no trespassing signs. You can wander all day in the woods and never see another person. Truly God’s country. One thing about hunting up there is your either going to love it or hate it. The deer number are really low but when you do get one it’s usually a smasher over 200lbs dressed weight. I encourage you guys to make time to give it a try. I will be down to your state next month to do some hog hunting. I had 30 beef cattle myself all grass fed so I know how much work must go into 500 of them and it’s a 24-7 operation!! That’s why we got out of it. I really hope you guys can find the time to come up to the Big Woods.
Bobby check out the Big Woods Bucks pod cast here on UA-cam they offer guided and unguided hunts. They are a great channel to listen to when your bouncing around in your tractor haying or what not. I’ve considered going on a guided hunt with them. Just seem to be a great group of guys Hope this helps you? They are all registered Maine guides. I did a Tracking school with the Benoits many years ago and enjoyed it. So I’d like to hunt with Hal blood a BWB team member at least once.
Off Grid Cabin Addict the guy I’m talking about is rick mabe ,,,of mabes grocery at laurel springs NC ,,I am a guide and do not have captains license which means I only work on hickory, james, lookout shoals, norman and high rock I live in Taylorsville Apple city USA,,,half of my county is apple orchards. I’ve been on fox sports South Saturday morning TV show called ,,,anglers n appetites quite a bit ,,they call me striper bob,, if you can’t take money for having guests up there maybe we could buy you a new 450 bushmaster for a trade out ,, you give us a place to sleep and eat , and point the way to an area that would not interfere with your hunting.
If you do go let me know let me know how it was. My vacation time is limited but I’d love to learn some tips and tricks from those guys. I believe you can always learn something new.
