My nearly 6 year old son is super impressed with the fact that Nick seems to know everything about the yachts he shows us. I told him that Nick does his homework and studies hard to have that knowledge at the ready. Son's response: "Good man". 🤣🤣🤣
It dumbfounds me, that all the guest cabins are extremely spacious. (I get it, it's their boat) Whereas 2 of the crew gets to sleep in the equivalent to a walk-in closet, it seems to me that these crew members would be a bit "cranky" when living at sea for long-term in these... conditions?
@@The-Droll-and-LazyJoker The crew generally are only in their cabins when it's time to sleep. Otherwise they're working or hanging out in the crew mess. In addition, while the guests are paying for their space, the crew are being paid. They have no bills. No rent, no electricity, no food, no fuel, no subscription services. And as it's charter, it's also likely the crew work 8-9 months and have 3-4 months off, with pay (although, lower pay).
@@grondhero As I said "it's their boat" so I understand that the accommodations will naturally be orientated towards the owner and their guests. But it seems that it doesn't matter if it's a 50 foot or a 150 foot boat, they all seem to have the same "closet space" for the crew. Personally I guess I'm just orientated towards an owner's... cabin Cheers!
That is a truly amazing ski boat. I was glad to see the upper helm since the view out of the bridge is truly horrible in confined areas, like busy harbors. (Yes, I know the windows were covered.) 1 of the best crew areas I think I've seen, that head was guest cabin sized. Happy crew, happy owner. Though this is not the style of boat I prefer, I think I could happily spend the rest of my life on this beautiful beast. Thanks, Nick, for braving the elements for us. I've challenged you before to find us more unusual and interesting boats, and you always exceed my expectations. Well done, sir, and thank you so much.
Incredibly fast for the size of yacht. You can tell there has been a lot of weight saving though. Everything on board looks a little bit flimsy, but no doubt very expensive. I would prefer a displacement yacht myself. With solid fixtures and fittings. I like quality, comfort and range, over performance. That’s probably the old man in me talking though. Yet another brilliant tour, Nick. Thank you. 👍
Fantastic boat. I worked at Brooks Brothers for years & I recognize the squeak of boat shoes at the very end of the video. I used to ship things to yacht clubs for various yachts. Sometimes I'd ship things to a yacht but not a person, I was told it was the crew's job to know what to do with the items.
Very impressive Nick. Thank you. Great design. 7,800 hp and 40 something knots of speed. Crazy. Just a point of interest. I’m a bit of a fan of battleship New Jersey. She was launched in 42, 887 feet long and a beam of 108 feet. 50,454 tons, and a draft of 37.9 feet. She has 4 turbines with 53,000 hp each(212,000 hp total) and 8-650 psi boilers to run her. At an original cost to build of $1.65B(in todays money($100M in 42)), fully loaded with 1921 crew, she’ll do 33 knots. I guess she was kind of a sports cruiser for the US Navy, so to speak. Don’t know if you noticed, but I’m a bit of a start geek. 😎
I was on the Enterprise back in the 80s. We once hit 42.5 knots on an urgent life-saving mission. Kept that speed up (or close to it) for a day or so. Things were shaking so bad the lids flew off the bug juice machines on the mess decks. I worked in Reactor Dept. and it was like an old Star Trek episode with Scotty yelling "I'm giving it all she's got Captain" . Tragically, the crewmember we were trying to save passed away before we could get within range to fly him off for more advanced medical care. It was a wild, though somber, ride.
so sleek. just love that look. The whole yacht is impressive and one of them fest features is the crew area. I like that they rake good care of their employees. thank you Nick. another great video.
Hi Nick, And thank you for this very nice show on Superyacht Sunday in a not so beautiful Monaco this time but a big yacht it is of 44 metre by AB Yachts and for a yacht like this with a low air draft and a high speed over the sea of 40 miles that is impresive the salonis beautiful behind the dining a big master on the maindeck with there own balcony buy also there private deck on the bow great Thanks Nick a great show ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Wow !!! Very nice bit of kit indeed. Would buy it but you didn’t show me the steps out to the sundeck from the pilot house so never mind 😂😂😂. Interesting about the jet propulsion and can goto 4ft deep, that would be good for Asia where big, deep marinas are scarce.
It's no Gulf Craft Majesty 175 but Mr Burnham sir what an intriguing yacht you have brought us for a Super Yacht Sunday being a Sports Super Yacht with that speed amazing. Sport Yachts not being my preferred style usually this is incredible. Great staff area with that amazing gally, the layout in general is great all around, but I do love the owners cabin especially with a balcony and a little staircase out to the bow fantastic. A great find and tour Nick as usual, and you braving that miserable weather again a true martyr to the cuse ,what a hero 😅 all the best from Cornwall 🤗🖖✌️
Quite the boat Nick, and this is a bit of nitpicking but 2 things, 1st) The dumb waiter system, (is great) the outer door is hinged on the left side facing, thus, forcing the outer door to swing completely open to the left, to have full access to the dining room. If the outer door was hinged on the right side facing, the door will swing open to the right, and therefore the door can be partially opened, (eg. 1/2 way open) and this would not be an issue. 2nd) In the guest cabins, the sink vessels (the carbon fiber is way cool) are way too tall and would be difficult to wash... in.
Another wonderful tour Nick! As for the interior, it is an Ikea lovers dream come true and unfortunately looks cheap and lacks any style or class. The crew areas are spacious and the galley was quite notable. Over all it is the owners cup of tea but not mine.
Great tour. One wonders at the practicality of this boat but it's an interesting study in yacht building and design per Use Case - to be certain. I assumed this is GRP construction but the bow makes me wonder is it Aluminum (or Steel) (sorry if you mentioned and I missed it).
While this isn’t my style of boat/yacht the tour was great, despite the weather and crowd. Speaking of weather… the sky views were actually uniquely beautiful!!
A very nice yacht with a great layout and spacious everywhere including the crew areas. I personally would prefer a darker wood choice but at least it is nice and bright. What was the galley floor made from, they looked like metal tiles. Great tour Nick thank you.
WOW! That's one heck of a yacht. Italian engineering at it's very best...and it's still a sports cruiser too. I like it, I like it a lot. Could this be "Smuggler's Blues 50" perhaps?
0:39 As Nick got on the boat I thought to myself I don’t like that Rosewood teak it makes it makes it look like a 90s boat. Then When he gets to the cockpit and I realise it’s just wet not coloured! Doh Me!😂
Impressive boat but my only criticism is that the guest cabin en-suites are let down by seemingly having a cleaners bucket as a sink. I know they’re carbon fibre but look like a garden bucket. Surely they could have designed the, much better than that. Great video as usual Nick.
I get severe anxiety when I see a bridge with sporty sloping windshields and they put several instrument "BOXES" smack dab in the way!!! I get it you're on autopilot but SERIOUSLY WHY! Great tour Nick!
