    Hi Martin! I love your videos man, and your efficient yet perfectionist style. I only have one recommendation for you, Stanliner tools!! If you have not ever tried one, give them a shot. Thomas makes top quality specialized tools. The Crane has become my favorite tool, and I keep finding new uses for it all the time. Cheers!

      Hi Michell thank you for your comment and yes Stanliner tools, I’ve tried a few in the past but as I’m quite busy I hadn’t the time to really test and trial so I have the tools back to my friend as he’d lent me them.
      If I could go to a pdr shop and hold them in my hand I’d buy some and have another shot. I’ve looked on the website but not too sure what to order and that’s the reasons why I don’t have any
      Super well made tools though and he’s done a stella job designing them

    @javanis5151 3 роки тому +3

    Great Video, thanks for sharing. It helps to mention that these tools cost money, LOTS of money, thousand upon thousand of dollars worth of tools. PDR tools are not cheap and it could be very challenging for a beginner with a limited budget to get into this trade, its a very difficult trade to learn, expensive tools, and takes a long time to become good at it to where you make any decent money. Nonetheless, its a long road but worth it if you have the time, patience, and of course the $$$$.

    • @dentremover01
      @dentremover01  3 роки тому +4

      Thanks Javani, yes that’s true they do look expensive some of them.
      BUT in the bigger picture, 1 tool costs about as much as one job? Or less if you buy tips or knockdowns?
      And once you have bought the tool it’s not going to perish over time it’s a steel bar and very strong. If you buy cheap you buy twice as they say.
      The tools on my cart probably add up to a good full months work..... and I’ve had these for years..... so your making a hell of a lot more money and profit than say a bodyshop who would pay 10k-40k for a spray booth or wheel repairing machine.
      So a $100 dollar tool can make you 300-800k
      Hope this brings things into perspective,
      Thanks Martin

    Thanks martin, every time I watch your video i learn some new. tools expensive one = good quality. good for every day use. some cheaper one i used it is work from China. and nowadays some of Chinese technician made good tools too, not on the international market.

      @dentremover01  3 роки тому

      Hi Bill, thanks for your feedback and that’s really great you can take some ideas away from my videos that’s why I do them for you all.
      Regards the tools these are my personal ones so I wanted to show what an everyday technician has...
      Yes I agree there’s great tools from China and other countries. I know Pdr tools are expensive- I hate buying tools BUT once you’ve bought them they are yours forever. I’ve actually just ordered some cheaper Chinese tools this week.
      This is a small industry so tool makers do have a monopoly

    Hi Martin, when I bought my van the garage had previously paid someone to remove a dent on the rear door. However, I now find that where it has been removed it feels magnetised and attracts metal to that spot, so after a few days I get dirt attracting to the spot in a 7cm circle. Any advice on what has caused this and how to stop the dirt attracting to it? Many thanks.

    Hi Martin! We met at JAE years ago. You did some PDR on my friends Supra and took a look at mine with a view of us catching up the following year. This was a long time ago now. Last time we spoke was when I stumbled upon your Facebook page and said hi... and here I am again. 😁 I love your channel mate. I've literally binged watched around 10 videos the last two days. Having seen your work in person, your work is impeccable. Having worked with cars and boats for years, wrapping and working with grp, the reason I found your channel is because I'm considering changing my career from wrapping and moving into PDR. I was wondering if you have any advice on training courses? I've accumulated a starter kit and intend to get to work on my daily work horse for some practice. I've also seen some courses offered, but they're pretty costly. Any advice would be appreciated. I'm pretty serious about a change in career. Cheers and keep up the good work!
    Adam.

      It is expensive BUT if your serious then all the money you spend is nothing compared to what you will earn. Don’t forget you can offset the cost with your Tax when you get going
      Let me know how you get on just message me through the socials
