I'm watching this AFTER receiving my Alijoz 400 from Amazon. It cost $134 CDN, and I'm very excited to begin using it this summer. Hearing this kind of review reinforces my confidence in this purchase.
@DeerArmy It's better than I expected, it's not a Tranx or Lexa, but for the price you can't beat it. Their quality is pretty good, I actually ordered a spinning reel a few days ago, I'm waiting for that to arrive. If you're on the fence about buying one I would say it's worth it.
Ordered one 6.6:1 left handed model from Ali (i'm right handed but i do use left hand to turn reel handle and right one to hold a rod as most of my "old fisherman friends" here are, we are used to spinning reels :) ). On sale was with shipping 102€! Now waiting it to arrive. Will be my bigger Pike setup with Svartzonker Black Series Pro 8'4'' 30-130g.
@@klementinohorvat6334 it’s new for this year so I assume that’s why. I’ve had a lot of people ask me for my take on it which is why I made the vid! Appreciate you watching, I think you’ll love the reel!
Komodo 471 for the win. Indestructible reel, I have caught 8 foot sharks, 100 plus lb grouper, giant rays, striped bass, amberjack, almaco jack, and plenty of other species on that thing with no issues. The huge stainless steel main gear and full metal construction make it an absolute workhorse and tank of a reel. 200 dollars too off ebay
I'm definitely going to try one . Been using a tranx 400 hg. For trolling only because I'm too poor to buy a reel in the muskie price point . . That clicker is a big deal. Thanks Ben
I bought 2 on Amazon for $99 CAD ($75 USD) /pc and 2 Alijoz 300's for $69 CAD /pc ($52.50 USD). They seem pretty solid. Feels every bit as good as my Lexa's and seems amazing for the price.
I bought one and like it. But the level wind does not follow the line when line is coming off the spool. Only follows when reeling in. What about yours?
@@kevinmcguire9516it’s a hollow plastic but the walls of the thumb bar are pretty thick. I dropped mine on concrete and it hit the thumb bar directly but didn’t break
How is this reel in regard with play in the knobs and in/out play in the main axle? Almost all reels have some play there, but my curado 201M doesn't and since using that reel im really particular about this play in/out in the handle. Im thinking of buying another Piscifun reel for my lighter pike fishing. How has this reel behaved for you when it comes to play in the hsndle?
These reels are awsome!!! Ive been using the 300's for several years now with zero issues. I picked up a 400 the summer and it has worked fantastic. For those of you hwo keep putting these reels down with out trying it first, just stop!!! Ive been fishing for muskies for over 40 yeras. Piscifun is a game changer because it gets a person top of the line perfomance without breaking the bank. Ive had reels from all the big dogs out there. I'm not sayng this is comparable to a Tranx 500, nobody is. These are just good tough reels!!!
I just got my 400 in the mail today and the only issue I noticed that I’m not used to is when you crank the tension knob all the max, the lure still drops not like it does on any other of my bait casters. Typical the lure would stop and than I would adjust it. Does your reel do the same thing?
I have the 300,.. its alright... nothing really special about it...except for the great price point... and it performs well, as intended, but I'd rather have the Lexa 500 8:1 retrieve 👍😎🤙

I pulled the trigger and ordered one, haven't got it yet, I hope its worth it. Thanks for the review.
Thoughts on it?

@@benstonefishing there are not so many reviews of this reel. Is it too new on market or?

These are awesone catfish rods aswell have the best bsit clicker and tons of drag and power to reel in huge cats

Great reel review. I would love if they offered a standard double handle.

What about yours?
Congratulations on the great video. I have the 300 and I thought the audible alarm was missing. 🔰Brazil
Thanks for watching!!
They should incorporate a centrifugal brakesystem
Is it possible for a service video of the alijoz 400? I have one for saltwater.
I’m not the right person for that unfortunately. If I ever dive into mine I’ll be sure to crank out a video!
I wanna buy one my only concern is that cheap thumb bar i dont want to buy it and have it feel like crap and feel like its gonna break
No issues with mine so far but totally understand the concern!
@@benstonefishingis the thumb bar like hollow or is it solid plastic

I tried the 400 8;1. In about 4 hours into musky fishing gears were grinding. The tension knob wouldnt tighten anymore. Junk.
I've owned both the 300 and 400 alijox, and I have to say the 300 is so much nicer than the 400, more compact and feels much nicer.
I do agree with you on the form factor for sure!

Nothing I have noticed in my use. I’ve been very impressed with the build quality on these

I haven’t had an issue, but with a few of my other models I do have to wrench on it pretty good
Still like it?
Hey, which one do you recommend for tarpon fishing, the normal one or the high speed one? Thanks for the review!
I think i’d do the normal for the extra torque, but I’ve also never fished for Tarpon😂
Are you done fishing for the season? Great review.
Might try to out one more but yeah pretty much done!
@benstonefishing hope you get out. Today would have been nice to fish.
GREAT REVIEW" GO" BSF!

Piscifun does NOT sell spare parts for these reels. Very strange way to do business.
