@@Gokywildcats11 yes I did. Used Penn synthetic grease. Synthetic Penn oil. TSI 321 for the spool bearings. I used a sonic cleaner to remove all the old lube. If you don’t have a Sonic cleaner you can wipe off everything that you can, soak everything in lacquer thinner(or something similar), then use spray brake or carburetor cleaner to finish with. Hope this helps.
Great comparison! Seems to be a good reel for the money this piscifun alijos. Would be great with a similar comparison with their alloy m. Keep it up, your the best out there! 😃 👍
I bought both the 5.9 and 8.1 ratio Piscifun reels. I also find them a great reel for the price! I did lube my reels before using them and found that they ran very smooth. Thanks for the video.
Reel test sorry I don't know your name but need your advice going saltwater fishing the jdm diawa tatula 400 or the shimano scorpion monster drive I'm fishing for red drums in florida witch one would you get if you only could choose one
Great review. There's serious musky fishermen trying out the Alijoz on the Detroit River and Lake St Clair for big muskies and seem to do fine. Those aren't reviews, either. Wincity is one of them.
I was really disappointed with the curado 300's pins on the braking system. Every time I tried to turn it on, I would end up pulling the entire pin off and then spend 45 min searching for it. I know a lot of people love the VBS but hey to each there own.
Nice! I've been looking forward to this video for awhile now. Did you lube up the Allijos before you fished with it? Jason at Piscifin recommends lubing up all their reels prior the first use. That might explain that noise.
Hi I have never used a bait caster type reel in my life (im 62) but want to try the piscifun alijos 300 reel for surf fishing...... I use a 4 meter long rod and sling a minimum of a 4oz sinker, 50lb braid with 2 hooks and large baits...... is this reel capable of handling this type of setup. Am I wasting my time and money even trying something like this...... you advise would be most helpful....... Cheers
Alijos 300 won you may of said you didn't like the retrieve but you have the low gear ratio version if you wanted to get higher retrieve then you should of went with the 8:1:1 ratio in my opinion this reel beat the expensive one
What size rod would you think go well with the Alijos? If you could give me the size of the rod in the line rating that it uses I would appreciate it. I have a 7’ 2” rod that is rated for 8-12 lb mono, do you think this rod would go well with this reel or is the reel would be too big for the rod?
Hello. A fan from Malaysia. Can i ask something? Minute 18.14, are you using Kingdom Silver Needle baitcasting rod? How does it perform? Planing to get one someday
Curado looks nice but i will never change out my tranx for swimbaits! Have both 200 and 300 size and the 300 size cast 250g without any problems and even to reel in that big pike/musky lure is smooth as butter 😍
@@THEREELTEST no rush take your time bro. But i really do want to see the Curado BFS vs the Kastking Zephyr BFS. I don't know which one I want to get 😬😬
What reel should I get I have 350 please please help me it’s my birthday in 6 days and I want the best reel I can get for that money please answer please should I go with the Bantam ??
If you have a rod to use go with a higher end reel. But for 350, you can buy the Alijoz, and still have enough for a badass rod. I paired my Alijoz with an Okuma SST carbon grip 9’ Heavy. I think it was just over a hundred. Happy Birthday 🎣
Thank you so much , I already have a very nice rod I just need a very badass reel that can cast a mile and handle big boys is the Bantam a good choice?
I have the Curado 201 HG, smooth as they get. I’m sure you can get better but I would match the rod specs to give you an idea of size. Go with what brand you want and if you got it spend as much as you can
With baitcasters they can all be used with salt water, just rinse with fresh afterwards. Only spinning gear you need to worry about being sealed for saltwater
@@brianwills4398 So, usually magnesium framed reels are marketed for freshwater use. Once the surface coating gets banged up, you run the risk of the magnesium corroding with from saltwater. Beyond just the frame material, reels designed for saltwater usually have other components such as bearings/etc which are more salt-resistant (whether that be from the material of the component, or more/better grease). But as long you do regular maintence (rinsing, re-applying oil/grease), there's no reason you can't use a 'freshwater' reel in the salt. Responding to needabettername, my opinion is that spinning reels are more resistant to saltwater than baitcasters (unless the spool is super ported like on some reels) Everytime you cast a baitcaster, the saltwater on the spool is getting sprayed everywhere inside the frame, whereas the spool on a spinning reel is away from any internals.
i’ve got the alijoz in the 8.5.1, and it’s a tank. if you’re throwing a bait that has a ton of drag, it’ll handle it just fine. I kind of regret buying the cardiff as my slow retrieve reel when I could’ve gotten another alijoz. the only thing I dislike about the alijoz is my thumb bar was loose from the factory and it’s just annoying. but I can bomb casts with it, and i’ve got the breaks almost all of the way off. i’ve thrown lures up to 7oz with absolutely no issues and it feels as solid today as it did the day I got it. edit: and dude. just cast it. you’re not going to break that rod. cast it the same way you would a crank bait or something. launch that bitch.
I tried 2 more piscifun products and was sorely disappointed. Not wasting money on them again. 5/5 were not worth the money. Even at cheap prices still not worth it. With these giant swimbaits, the DC reels shine here
Shimano is just a better quality reel. The alijos is a really good reel for the price. I use mine all the time and I ocean fish. The alijos is the only piscfun reel worth the money

Got an Alloy M thanks to this channel. Found one for $60 and I was blown away. Also two awesome JDM reels I Never knew existed.
Debo is liking his Alloy M.
Bought 2 love them
Piscifun is Chinese brother, not JDM.
I had the same issue with it being geary so I opened it up and added some grease and cleaned up the insides just a bit and it works great now.
The alijoz comes dry which should explain the noise. Mine had the same issue but put some grease in it and it should be good
All three of my Piscifun reels came under lubed. A little oil and grease made a big difference.
so many people are saying that now lol
Piscifun needs to address this. Not everyone knows how to properly lube a reel.
Did you all fake them apart to regrease them
