Am I the only one who was bothered by Vusi pointing out how he had decided that he needed to be "man enough" and how he kinda invalidated Mlungisi's experience. Yes they may have had different experiences but one can tell his story without trying to shadow the other person's right? And anyway, Mlungisi was way too young when he went to prison.
It got my attention too, but I don't think he meant it like that. I think he was just trying emphasize that he needed to be able to stand up for himself given the circumstances he was presented with - not necessarily to immasculate Mlungisi or invalidate his experience (used in example).
Nothing in life can ever break Mlungisi. This guy went through all of his life alone. Rehabilitating yourself is the toughest road anyone ever has to take. Big ups to this man! May he go far in life.
Mlungisi God elevated him, everything he says is so touching and his voice u can hear he learned a lot Spiritually, is not him speaking but the voice of God.
This is the second time I am hearing Mlungisi speak about this on UA-cam and it breaks my heart every time! They really took advantage of him.,.. there is an innocence I see in him, may God continue to keep and protect him. I wish him so many blessings!!! As a mom of two boys he is teaching me a lot.
Mlungisi is very brilliant and a hard worker.... I got a chance to work with him around 2015,2016 and he is very open about his life in prison....and he encouraged the youth in our community to stay away from crime to avoid goi g through the same experiences he went through..... His stories are very touching
I feel like Vusi is those kind of men who don't want to be associated with the stigma of convicts and rape in prison,at first he said he never saw any rape in prison then later said it di happen to others but not to him,I didn't like how he said "it's a choice" after Mlungisi clearly explained that he had to join the number to be safe from abuse,I believe that Vusi might also be downplaying his experience and I wish to hug Mlungisi not because I feel sorry for him but I'm inspired by his strength, prison did not break him💛
The other chap seems to he hiding his real experience you can see how mlungisi looks at hime when he talks. When asked about his experience he changes the answer to lessons. Do this don't do that 🤔 type of vibes. Mlungisi told us the truth, nothing but the truth. Respect!
Before I watched seeing him on the cover I thought he was the one who contracted HIV .. also him saying people think prison is a hotel 🧐 and I’ve heard stories about leokop prison it is definitely not as smooth as he says it is. How is he even teaching about his experience if he is not ready to share it all let alone coming to this show 🤔
I Stan, I think Mlungisi could have been given the platform on his own. There's still quite a lot that a lot of people could actually hear about his prison experience. I've seen one of his prior UA-cam videos, and I can say the history that he has, is just immense.
I feel like Vusi was not ready to reveal a lot about his experiences in prison and he is somehow playing it down as if it wasn’t that bad for him. I strongly believe there’s more he witnessed and experienced than he is willing to share for whatever reason. Mlungisi on the other hand is really open and honest about his painful experience and is ready to lay it all out, and I applaud him for that. I wish Mlungisi all the best and healing in his new chapter in life and I hope the youth will learn from such stories and stay away from crime 💝 ❤️
I honestly noticed that.. after Mlungisi mentioned that he was raped and was forced to join a gang to protect himself Vusi made it look like he didn't go through that because it was a choice and that he had to be man enough....it was rather unsympathetic and condescending
Yep yep I saw that he kept talking about how not easy jail is... But on the flip side I think he is here to promote himself rather than sharing the experience which is a shame in a way
Yoooh prison is really hectic! Imagine sleeping with a corpse because the prison guard didn't open the door at that time 😱! It's a sad punishment to go into prison to correct your ways then all of a sudden u are raped and infected with HIV at that time you are a virgin 🤢
I love how people are allowed to express themselves in their mother tongue because some shows have brilliant stories but they get watered down by broken English and we lose the purpose of the interview. This interview was refreshing and very much needed 🙌🏽
Notice how Vusi kept on invalidating what Mlungisi was saying; Mlu: I got raped Vusi: I had to be "man enough" (To avoid getting raped perhaps?) Mlu: I had no choice. (remember, he was just a kid) Vusi: It's a choice. (????) Also, I hope everyone else in here also feels that what Vusi shared with us was just a drop in the ocean. Man was hiding a lot of things but made it sound like yena he was having it light in there instead...which is a lie. At least that's how I feel. However, I respect both of these gentlemen very much.
I think he even got HIV from the prison, though he is hiding it.Vusi be blessed and thank you for sharing. Indeed he keeps invalidating what Mlu said. My Mom never visited. Vusi my Mom was my pillar.
True. Vusi shaped his story to invalidate Mlu’s story. I didn’t like that but oh well…Mlu does sound like a strong man, happy how he turned his life around.
I don't understand why a good story has to always appear sad. Vusi is also telling his story and that's his story. No pride in it. He was privileged to have a supportive mother, courage and matured. Mlungisi on the other hand has his own story that he owns Up to. So big up to both of them for sharing their story. Blessing as Vusi says and tough as Mlungisi says, we love you guys
Well said just 2 different men with different backgrounds both found themselves in prison for different reasons .Moral of the story they both agree jail is not a good place.
As much as I can say individuals can have a different experience in the same situations I do feel vusi was very reluctant to be honest. The way he made it seem like the young man in white brought rape upon himself really is upsetting to watch, at every moment he got he would highlight weaknesses /drugs / not being man enough. It’s ok to tell your story without shitting on someone else’s.
I didn't like the guy in blue invalidating the other guy's experience in jail. It's clear why they had such different experiences. One day someone needs to do an investigation on Westville prison, sounds like hell on earth
Yes I felt like he was blaming him that he got raped because he was not man enough or aggressive enough forgetting that he was child when going to prison
I loved this interview. Yoh uVusi was just telling us how educated he is and generalizing every question he is asked. Mlungisi really did well and part 2 of him alone would be nice. @unpackedwithrelebogile can't we have ladies who can narrate to us about female prisons and unpack all aspects involved?
I enjoyed watching Mlungisi unpack his story,he did he with a passion for a person who went through all that.Vusi yena had witnessed inmates dying, slept with corpses yet his experience was somewhat good.Worse there are similarities between their stories.I find it hard to believe he was really open.
What Mlungisi says it's so painful but TRUE I have a relative whose a warder when he shares what happens in prisons you realize that no one is safe both the prisoners and warders. When they fight inside the wardes are not sure if it's happening or it's a trap that's why they don't act immediately.

I wish Mlingisi had his own interview, he had so much to share with clear insight. I really appreciate his transparency and honesty. His story is heartbreaking, I hope God continues to strengthen him.
When he said he is blessed that he went through all those things because if it wasn't him than who😭😭😭 like no man it was never suppose to be you, you were just a child❤️ but I love his spirit God has really worked on him.
He is hiding alot and dojjing questions answering in his own different way, this guy is been raped as well just like he said some off the things even his family dont know some of the things that happened
Exactly its soo infuriating to watch 😑😑…He is trying so hard to make himself feel better than Mlungisi and the way he is even talking about how he was studying in prison seems like its all to invalidate Mlungisi
Mlungisi is such an inspiration honestly, we thank you for your level of honesty and in telling your truth you will heal. May god continue to bless you Mlu , you are amazing . Keep going , fall down seven times, get up eight 🤛🏽
Vusi for me is like he is making him better than Mlungisi of which he was young. I feel sorry for Mlungisi, He went through the worst may God heal him.
Vusi is trying to act like a prison cheeseboy, he is avoiding talking about details, School cant save u from real prison experiences. Mlungisi thank you for your honesty and courage to open up, you are the real man in this interview.
Vusi unamanga nje qha ejele akusi ka Gogo wakho skolo or no skolo age or nor age jail is hell syabonga Mlungi nathi sizofunda kuwe nama teenagers akumamele big up Mlungi God is gonna heal you
Yoh uMlungisi went through so much💔 at a young age he was never set up for success. But look at him thriving & well. I hope God continues to bless both men abundantly ❤️
Proud of you Mlungisi for standing up after all that has happened to u at such a tender age. May God continue opening great and successful doors for u.
No he did and its like he wanted to sound superior than Mlungisi. Even though Mlungisi's story was worse but there is a bit of arrongancy on this Vusi guy. He sounds cocky for someone who says jail ain't easy @@shaunmabula8104
That is his expressed lived experience and how he says he focused to survive. It would not be fair to invalidate it. Fact is he was in jail which is obvs no walk in the park. The rest is... just the rest. He is a new man.
At 18 and 27 their experiences were always going to be different. Their upbringings also sound like they were so different. I wish the other guy was a little more empathetic to Mlungisi’s experience. I am glad Mlungisi survived his painful ordeal and I hope he lives long ,so that his experience can be a lesson to others♥️.
I agree with Mlu jail doesn't change a person hence why some people come out and still do the same crime it's up to you as an individual to change your life
Mlungisi! 🙌🏾 what a captivating interview… so sincere, open and honest. We truly appreciate his honesty. Where can we purchase his book or donate to his cause?
Lebo thank you for giving us a show that allows us to understanding REAL stories of ordinary people that we would otherwise never hear. There is a tendency in South African television to continue giving us shows that only interview celebrities where we mostly learn that they started singing at Sunday School at 4. The times that you have interviewed celebrities, it is always about their lives outside being a celebrity. I am personally learning so much about the human experience 🌹🌹🌹
Though it feels like Vusi is understating his experience in Prison. We simply cannot expect two people from two different prisons to have the same kind of experiences or stories to tell.
We don’t expect them to have the same experience, we expect them to show empathy to those sharing their experiences. Vusi kept invalidating Mlungisi’s sexual assault and reasons for joining a gang as if Mlungisi chose those circumstances himself.
Mlungisi's story is the story I would like to hear more about in detail since he has been in different prisons in S. A. I wish he could have a tell all interview.
Mlungisi was too young when he went to prison. He seems like a good and honest man. May God bless him and give him the strength to do more and help others who are currently in the same situation he was in when he was still a teenager. I'm sorry that you had to endure all you did. I can imagine, as a child stranded in the streets, you would have done anything that the older guys tell you to do. I'm sorry you had to experience what you have experienced.
I feel like vusi is lying about his experience in jail he's not being totally honest and Mlu your the man your sincerely honest and God will continue to bless you that's why you God changed it all from life sentence to 10yrs because of your honesty..much love and respect for you my guy..
Mlungisi's story is very traumatizing and touching 😭🥺life is really unpredictable shame and indeed our relatives that come from prison need our full support because WOW🔥
Stop lying Vusi is still very shady AF. He doesn't even do shit for his kids.. He can't be an honorable man when he was one of people who looted the most during that looting period... Stop lying to people this guy is a piece of shit 🙄
Some people are uncomfortable talking about the whole truth about their experiences in jail like rape because the world is very cruel, they can use it against you just to put you down. I am pleased they managed to turn their lives around. Loving Mlungisi he is not bitter, May the Lord bless him abundandly.
I need a channel for Mlungisi alone, there is a lot we can learn from him and his honesty is real. Stay blessed Mlu and I'm definately gonna buy and read your book.
I don't know if Vusi is listening to questions or not... Yes we want to know how you are doing after prison but I don't think he's not spitting facts with his experience in prison. But heyy much respect to mlungisi for the honesty.
This brought tears to my eyes. I am happy that these two gentlemen have changed their life's for the better. I would like to please ask to for their email address. I am an SGB member in a school with gangsterism and drugs. I really think it would help to have these gentlemen come speak to our students.
Prison is horrible, it’s sad to see someone who unfortunately goes down the bad path and goes to prison. Its good that they didn’t let it define their whole lives. They learned and came back to their society as contributing members
I thank Mlungisi for being so strong and presenting himself so well, u are strong Nd we appreciate you. The other guy I did not like his interview simply because be had no sympathy for mlungisis story. To him it was easy but for mlungisi was not so next time he should have sympathy for others. Being educated is nothing when u don't have a heart 😉
I also have a cousin who went to prison he tells it like Vusi I think it all depends on the place maybe it's hard in k.z.n than job Godbless them it's very heart breaking
They need to test people that are going to prison for many infections and put them in cells according to their sicknesses because it's really unfair for someone to contract a disease in a place that is supposed to correct your character but rather destroy it, because catching HIV can definitely mess up a person's mind and no one deserves to be infected with HIV.
1stly that’s discrimination. People should never be separated based on weather they are HIV positive or not. The issue here is not one’s HIV status but rather rape. Life is not fair so I don’t want to talk about fair. But it is not right for one to be sexually assaulted.
Mlungisi was definitely young and vulnerable. The men who he says were friends groomed him into crime. He had to account and it's great that he changed his life. I definitely loathe how Vusi had no sympathy for him, there was no need.
Mlungisi has been transformed and truly on a healing path because of he's vulnerability. As for Vusi respect he's opinions but he tried to glamorize his experience and I hope he truly finds healing.
Its because according to law adulthood begins at 18, so although you’re still young by societal standards the law regards you as an adult so you get adult punishment.
Vusi was claiming a lot...about who he is today and he's wasn't really answering questions!!he was just generalizing everything he was asked and also invalidating mlungisi's experience!!....i'd like to see part 2with Mlungisi.... And if you going to to read this may Godless you Mlungisi You're such a wonderful soul !!
My heart bleeds for this guy with the white(or light blue shirt)what he went through is too much mann and not having support is way harder to do this alone.Im happy his out and his life is going well.i just wish to give him a tight hug nje
Mlungise your story made me cry 😭 until to the end of your interview. You were too young without guidance. Evil people took advantage of you but at the end you survived the prison life. What makes me happy you wrote a book 📖 to educate youth. I’m happy that you have feelings for women . May the good LORD provide you with a family that will support you no matter what. God bless and forgive you about your past
Mlungisi is also brutally honest, no cap!

Yah it didn’t come out right. I don’t know but I fe like there could’ve been a better wording
And I think he did realise that yena he was older when he went to prison (27) unlike Mlungisi who was way younger 16/ 18...
@@MalindiPearl Yeah I saw that at the end. My comment was posted mid interview.
Yes, but remember Mlungisi was young. Maybe man enough as in old adult.

Yeah, he was young and he was also scared njengoba esho and they took advantage instead of protecting umntwana

When he said he is blessed that he went through all those things because if it wasn't him than who😭😭😭 like no man it was never suppose to be you, you were just a child❤️ but I love his spirit God has really worked on him.
Vusi is capitalizing on Mlungisi's story. Everything he says he makes sure is the opposite of Mlungisi's experience. Mxim
Right?! He tries to turn every bad thing Mlungisi experienced into a "how i made it a positive thing" story.
I really appreciate how candid mlungisi is.
Vusi for me is like he is making him better than Mlungisi of which he was young. I feel sorry for Mlungisi, He went through the worst may God heal him.
You judge to much
God bless Mlungisi! Such a wonderful soul ❤️
Everytime Mlungisi speaks I just wanna cry
I cried yho, this man went through the most.
Yoooh, I wish I could give Mlungisi a tight hug 😭😭he's been through a lot xem😥
Vusi is trying to act like a prison cheeseboy, he is avoiding talking about details, School cant save u from real prison experiences. Mlungisi thank you for your honesty and courage to open up, you are the real man in this interview.
Vusi unamanga nje qha ejele akusi ka Gogo wakho skolo or no skolo age or nor age jail is hell syabonga Mlungi nathi sizofunda kuwe nama teenagers akumamele big up Mlungi God is gonna heal you
@@martharanchia520 totally vusi his not letting the truth out, that place is Hell!😒
Vusi ignores the questions he is not willing to talk about life in prison he is doggy😏
Yoh uMlungisi went through so much💔 at a young age he was never set up for success. But look at him thriving & well. I hope God continues to bless both men abundantly ❤️
I’m so glad that Mlungisi spoke his truth even when Vusi was always trying to invalidate him. God bless Mlungisi, He has a big heart ❤️
Proud of you Mlungisi for standing up after all that has happened to u at such a tender age. May God continue opening great and successful doors for u.
He didn't try to invalidate anyone, he was just sharing his story. He couldn't change his story because mlungisi story is worse
No he did and its like he wanted to sound superior than Mlungisi. Even though Mlungisi's story was worse but there is a bit of arrongancy on this Vusi guy. He sounds cocky for someone who says jail ain't easy
@@shaunmabula8104
Vusi is not open n honest with himself..holding back..body language says it all...all off the best Mlungisi u are indeed an ambassadar
Vusi always brings studying as an excuse to fold the story
That is his expressed lived experience and how he says he focused to survive. It would not be fair to invalidate it. Fact is he was in jail which is obvs no walk in the park. The rest is... just the rest. He is a new man.
So annoying...he acts clever but he really knows he got raped or he was a rapist himself
Thank you Mlungisi for being honest🙏
At 18 and 27 their experiences were always going to be different. Their upbringings also sound like they were so different.
I wish the other guy was a little more empathetic to Mlungisi’s experience. I am glad Mlungisi survived his painful ordeal and I hope he lives long ,so that his experience can be a lesson to others♥️.
True it felt like Mlungisi was supposed to do something off which there was nothing to do
Very true, that's why they both have different experiences
It could also be because that the where in different types of jails as well i heard a lot of bad things about Westville poison
Heyi uvusi nje wahamba wayofunda
You know nothing beats the truth because it comes from your heart. Truth and only truth.. That's what Mlungisi has shared with the world. I salute him
I agree with Mlu jail doesn't change a person hence why some people come out and still do the same crime it's up to you as an individual to change your life
We could definitely hear Mlungisi out one more time. He definitely went through it, Yoh!!!
I love Mlungisi’s energy and his story telling….
Served 10 year sentence with no visitors, very Sad😭
💔
I won't think I would survive 10yrs without seeing anyone from my family worse am in prison

Sorry to say this U Mlungisi looks more healthy than U Vusi # thank you so much for sharing your honest story Mlungisi all the best in life .
You are right, Vusi looks unwell
Stop telling the truth. I noticed that too. It's like the one who is sick is Vusi. He's hiding something
The truth will set you free😊
Anikhulumi jesu
Mlungisi! 🙌🏾 what a captivating interview… so sincere, open and honest. We truly appreciate his honesty. Where can we purchase his book or donate to his cause?
Mlungisi SOM DANGER I know this man we from same street in Danny Dalton he was bad news before but now he's doing great job, salute
@@Leradennis What you saying makes sense though..
Mlungisi's story is the story I would like to hear more about in detail since he has been in different prisons in S. A. I wish he could have a tell all interview.
Search channel called " The Agenda Network " and look for his videos....thats where he tell his story...
I wish to follow him on Facebook page or Instagram.. 😭😭😭
I enjoyed Mlungisi's part and motivation, he is brave and an inspiration 🙏
I am so touched by Mlungisi 's jail experience. Wish I can watch more of his story.
Can we get part two of Mlungisi's story. He has gone through the most and has a lot to share.
You can watch it on The Agenda Network
Sis Lebo bring back Mlungisi alone so he can share more
Mlungisi was too young when he went to prison.
Vusi sounds like he was in a bootcamp , training (studying) and having fun whilst at it
He is a liar
He is lying 😂😂😂😂😂
I feel like vusi is lying about his experience in jail he's not being totally honest and Mlu your the man your sincerely honest and God will continue to bless you that's why you God changed it all from life sentence to 10yrs because of your honesty..much love and respect for you my guy..
Mlungisi's story is very traumatizing and touching 😭🥺life is really unpredictable shame and indeed our relatives that come from prison need our full support because WOW🔥
so much wisdom in Mungisi, thank to both gentlemen for sharing their stories
i personally know Vusi, I did financial statements for his business , what a humble man and very caring , very inspiring as well.
Stop lying Vusi is still very shady AF. He doesn't even do shit for his kids.. He can't be an honorable man when he was one of people who looted the most during that looting period... Stop lying to people this guy is a piece of shit 🙄
He seems like he has no sympathy for that young man and when you see him again please remind him to add sympathy to his humility 😊
Vusi story is normal..... Mlungisi is the one we should be listening the most
Mlungisi for President!!.. He must definitely come back...
Can we just thank Relebohile for asking the right questions , so many people don’t know how to conduct interviews
Especially matters that touch on abuse.
Some people are uncomfortable talking about the whole truth about their experiences in jail like rape because the world is very cruel, they can use it against you just to put you down. I am pleased they managed to turn their lives around. Loving Mlungisi he is not bitter, May the Lord bless him abundandly.
His accepted hence his so open.. I think he should make an initiative of making money cause wow.. People would pay to hear his story.
I need a channel for Mlungisi alone, there is a lot we can learn from him and his honesty is real. Stay blessed Mlu and I'm definately gonna buy and read your book.
Vusi makes prison sound like he just went Uni 🙄🙄 just study study study. How is that someone's first thought when their going to prison
Literally sounds a university experience👀mhm the lies..
🤣🤣🤣 so true
😂😂😂😂😂
He didn't have any protection but he wasn't raped or beaten up, he jst saw ppl dying in front of him... He's lying tjo
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
They both tell their stories from their own experience. Stop the comparison. No one care who you like more. I appreciate and respect both for sharing.
Ejeke kuyasiza ukuba nenkani.
It feels like Vusi was holding back alot,
He was holding back true
Exactly my thoughts...
I agree with you on this one. And he looks sick.
Total respect for these men for doing this interview.🙌🏿
Wow, just wow. Strength to Mlungisi angadinwa in motivating the youth and staying positive. His story is one of victory, thank you bafo.
Thank you Relebogile. I am more motivated to visit prison mostly those who don't have anyone to visit them.
Mlungusi kept emphasizing he had no choice part of it because of Vusi’s comment! Yoh the rape part by 5 men really is heartbreaking
I also have a cousin who went to prison he tells it like Vusi I think it all depends on the place maybe it's hard in k.z.n than job Godbless them it's very heart breaking
Second time watching Mlungisi and you can tell his story is true because his story is the same on both interviews
They need to test people that are going to prison for many infections and put them in cells according to their sicknesses because it's really unfair for someone to contract a disease in a place that is supposed to correct your character but rather destroy it, because catching HIV can definitely mess up a person's mind and no one deserves to be infected with HIV.
Exactly
I totally support this
Very true this is very unfair 😕 😢
1stly that’s discrimination. People should never be separated based on weather they are HIV positive or not. The issue here is not one’s HIV status but rather rape. Life is not fair so I don’t want to talk about fair. But it is not right for one to be sexually assaulted.
Preps need to be availed for emergency purposes.
Why a 18 year old was placed with adults? Very sad story kaMlungisi 💔💔💔.
And if you going to to read this may Godless you Mlungisi
You're such a wonderful soul !!
Mlu may you heal and move on with your life god kept you alive for a reason thank you so much my dear for sharing
Vusi seems like he was fortunate enough to be able to change his life
I just feel like the other guy is not ready to share it all.Can we please have part 2 ya Mlungisi a le 1
Vusi seems like he was living a normal life nje just eating food, going to school and reading 😹😂
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤔
😂Tell me about it.
@@tanakanyamuzinga9562 😹😹😹😹he was enjoying life to the maximum

Mlungisi is full of the Holy Spirit.....may God bless him more in his ministry.God is our strength in our weaknesses
