Funny how the dress was pink during the pre-Broadway run. Reminds me of Sleeping Beauty lol. "Make it pink!" "No, make it blue!"

Every time I see Christy in that blue opera dress my heart just stops. One of the most beautiful costumes I have ever seen and Christy looked so beautiful in it

I wonder how the ensemble member playing the Tsarina must feel wearing that dress. I feel like it’s rarer that a random ensemble member is the one wearing a dress of that magnitude. But good for her!

I was cast as the Tsarina! I'm so excited to wear a dress even an eighth as magnificent as this one

As a friend of Christy (even before ANASTASIA), she looks so beautiful in that blue gown on stage and I get chills evereytime I see it. With knowing Christy, I've been backstage and I have to tell all of you that blue gown is really heavy. Tomorrow is actually my 3rd time seeing it live.
Both times I went when Christy takes the stage in that iconic blue gown, the audience claps as soon as she steps forward in it. It's literally reminded from when I saw Beauty and the Beast (the first Broadway show I ever saw) when Belle makes her entrance in the iconic yellow gown.

It’s true, Hannah. If it takes place during the 18th century, then it would be about her ancestress, Catherine the Great. Or Marie Antoinette, with a French twist. But he makes a mistake in saying this information, when he had meant the 20th century.

Now I like pink, and it does make more sense to dress her in white and pink, but I like the blue dress more so good choice on the blue.

  • @AmaraJordanMusic

Yep, I'd have been so disappointed for it to be pink! I loved the costuming in the movie (I loved the royal announcement dress before the final confrontation ruined it the most, then the blue) and to not have it be "correct," just wouldn't make sense to me. You have to make the dress anyway, so why not make it the right color? I don't get why places do that. Also, as a sometimes-auburn-haired person, I never wear pink or red when my hair is red bc it just clashes most of the time. And light pink isn't as commanding as that blue, in my opinion. So I'm forever grateful they changed it! I highly doubt I could see this cast, but once they get a touring group together, I'll be catching it! Memphis gets most of the shows through it, so I'll be stalking all the announcements!

Great video! But this musical couldn't have taken place in the 18th century. Seeing as the play takes place after the Russian Revolution which both started and ended in 1917, which was in the 20th century. Just some history for ya!

Lucy Thomas, Louise Thomas, and Martha Thomas decided to go all out for the upcoming political drama inspired event. They rummaged through their wardrobe filled with modern and stylish outfits designed by Linda Cho. Thanks to the sponsorship from Greebel Pencil and Classic Color Pencil, they were able to create stunning looks using the latest pencils in various shades.
With their Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 and Galaxy S5, they sketched out their creative outfits using Samsung Notes. The sisters were thrilled to be able to showcase their artistic skills and bring their vision to life. As they prepared for the event, they couldn't help but admire the intricate details in the designs by Claire Hummel.
The sisters were ready to make a statement at the event, dressed in the latest fashions and armed with their trusty mobile devices. They were excited to see how their unique outfits would be received by the crowd and hoped to inspire others to embrace their creativity.
