    In reality, it's probably like 30 minutes to get in running if you want to achieve excellent printing results from the beginning. I also recently got an A1 mini (no combo). It's only really ready to print after calibration, which also takes a good 15 minutes (As you see in the video: 5 minutes for vibration compensation, 7 Minutes for motor noise cancellation). The printer itself is still f... awesome and quick to setup!

    • @MCFIXIT
      @MCFIXIT  5 місяців тому +2

      I think that’s why my print wasn’t perfect with the first one. But still much faster than previous brands to unbox and get started with the first print. I did the calibration, vibration, and moot noise after and had good success with all future prints

    Is this what is included for $199usd on the bambu site? Dobi need the combo kit or just this?

    • @MCFIXIT
      @MCFIXIT  Місяць тому +1

      This is the basic kit. The combo kit normals comes with ams lite. Which is a great addition to this printer bc you can print multiple color prints.

    Another video says that you have to lubricate? Was this step skipped?

    • @MCFIXIT
      @MCFIXIT  4 місяці тому +2

      Yes, it gives regular intervals to lubricate and comes with a tube in the box. It takes about 5 seconds to do on the Y axis metal part. I thought I did that in this video, but apparently I did not. I've been printing non-stop since I made this video and the system has told me to do it three times since.

    5:10 for those following along, don't take that foam out just yet.
    That way at 8:14 the bed doesn't slide when you flip the printer upside down. Might help.. Might not matter, but might be easier with less moving parts :)

    How do you feel about its build size? Was it good? I know it’s small of course. But does it feel small “constraining” or small “enough”?
    I am anticipating mostly prototyping for IoT and miniature printing but I’m a bit nervous about getting the mini. Though the size and weight of the machine itself makes it a really attractive option as an international student who most likely will be coming back home in a couple of years (hopefully by then I’ll get a bigger machine but better to be prepared)

      It's really great. I have only come across a few things that I wish I had a larger printer for. But the 180x180x180 is pretty good sized. I am starting to save up for a second Bambu Labs printer, and I'll probably go with the P1S or X1C, depending on how patient I am. Overall, the quality of this A1 Mini is great, and for smaller prints, it works like a wonder. I've had the least amount of misprints on this printer over any other printer i've owned in the past.

    • @MCFIXIT
      @MCFIXIT  3 місяці тому +2

      It was petg plastic that I had to increase the temp for by a few degrees bc there was no present for that branded filament. It works so well. I’m very impressed with the quality and speed of the prints. I’m soon going to be buying another Bambu Labs printer

      I just saw they have a really good deal on it. I'd encourage you to buy the AMs lite as well so then you can print 4 colors at once. It costs more, but it's definitely worth it!

    Your lucky to get a reasonable tool kit. All I got was a cardboard box with 2 all metal hex keys, not the nice plastic handle type. The rest of the items were in a bag. UK delivery if that makes any difference. However no difficulty in getting perfect prints.

    • @MCFIXIT
      @MCFIXIT  Місяць тому +1

      Sorry to hear that. I'm unsure why it would be different. It's a great printer. Thank you for your comment. I hope Bambu sees this and fixes not having a quality tool kit in there!

    • @MCFIXIT
      @MCFIXIT  2 місяці тому +2

      Yeah, I’m sure mine would have too. It took a few mins to realize I needed to increase the standard time for PETG filament since there wasn’t an exact match with branding. Once I did that it’s done awesome with that type of plastic ever sense!

    WOW! I have an ender and it takes 15 minutes to get a print to work right and took like 3 hours to set up. I might be looking to upgrade. That bed looks kinda small though. What size it?

    • @kennytashro3072
      @kennytashro3072 5 місяців тому +2

      Yes the Bambu labs printers just hit different. I had Creality before I upgraded to the p1s and couldn’t be happier. The A1 mini is a small bed at under 200x200. But great for small prints but if want look at grabbing the A1 it’s 256x256x256

      @Kennytashro3072, thank you so much for answering this question by @jammiesgotarun8071.
      I agree it's so much better. I still have a CR6-SE and it's just collecting dust now. The built plate is a little small, but that's good for almost all of the prints I've ever done though. I like the compact design and functionality of it!

      Yes, it’s super straight forward and you can have a lot of fun from what’s just programmed on the SD card from opening the box. They took a lot of the guess work and frustration out of printing by actually creating a printer that nearly ready to print after taking it out of the box. Mine hasn’t stopped printing since I made this video. The least amount of flaws and fails ive ever experienced too. I’ve printed probably 100 items and had 2 fails and 3 or 4 flaws…. Which is awesome!
