Pretty much everyone is getting 62-63% from 0% after 30m with the 9 xl. Phone arena has the 9 pro getting to 53% after 30m. Also, getting the best charger for the xl is such a pain because of the pps 21v/2.25 standard. The 9 and 9 pro are much more forgiving.
Gonna get the Pixel 9 as a secondary phone when it goes on sale at Christmas. Will be my first ever Pixel. That glossy white model reminds me of the Essential PH-1 that I loved. Been curious about Pixels for a long time but not trying to spend Pro XL money lol
Maybe consider the pro if the price drops? If you decide you want to make a Pixel your main after a production cycle, the pro or XL versions of the past tend to have significantly higher trade in values. I'm going from a 6 to 9 Pro because of that. Knowing I'm likely to recover about half of that extra $200 when I trade in for the 11 or 12 makes the little added features more worth it over the lifetime of the device. Either way I don't think you'll be disappointed. Would genuinely be interested in what you think 6 months from now.

In a few weeks time I’ll pick up a brand new Pixel 9 for about C$600 (that’s around £340) through people selling their service provider’s upgrade. Biggest reason why Pixel don’t have good resale value, even google doesn’t offer fair trade in value for its own pixel phones.

And I was kind of confused at the end of your video. Are you saying to go with the pixel 9? Or are you saying to go with the pixel 9 pro. I kind of understood that you were okay with going with the pixel 9 pro for an extra $200.
The Pixel 9 is more affordable and has pretty similar features as you explained in the video. Definitely an interesting choice to take advantage of the new AI features. 💚
Thanks for another awesome video guys - I do enjoy my Pixel 7, but so often I wish I'd got the Pro for that zoom lense - this new 9 Pro with the smaller form factor and flat screen, so keen for this!
I just got the pro XL and as far as I can tell it's the only real reason to upgrade. But is it worth it? I definitely wanted a zoom lens many times over the last 5 or 6 years. And I've taken some pretty nice pictures. But because T-Mobile for I had to get thesome reason doesn't have the regular pixel pro in stock anywhere I had to get the XL. Which means the difference is like $400 and considering alls I wanted was that zoom, it's definitely not worth it. I will probably trade mine in within the return window for the regular pixel if they get it back in stock.
I do rarely use the zoom lense in my s23. The pics are just not good enough to do anything with them. Last few years they all claimed makro lenses as a useless gimmik, so are the zoom lenses for me. No need for it.
Yeah I mean the pixel 9 looks all right but The vapor chamber in the pixel 9 pro to keep it cool and better battery life and also the screen is also better and two cameras which are better the front and the telephoto to say nothing of having the extra RAM which will make the AI work a lot better I think as much as phones are getting expensive better to save up the extra 200 bucks and get the pro
I was just going to comment on this and saw your comment. The 9 pro has the super actua and the 9 has just the standard actua. What he says in the video is not correct.

Not a big enough difference between the 9 and 9 Pro to justify $300 difference (where I live). They need to fix the slow battery charging and I hope their processors become much better when switching to TSMC because Tensor is garbage right now.

So for Google it means, let's make the smaller one more expensive so the upgrade to the bigger one looks less like a big price difference.
