Great video! I switched from iPhone 15 pro Max to the pixel 9 pro fold. I haven't looked back since I am enjoying the pixel experience. Phones are Fun again
@@travismayes23 Its not as good as the pixel 9 pro XL. But it's better than my iPhone 15 PM. I really like Google's photo processing. The Pixel 9 pro fold is my go to for Photos. I use my iPhone for videos
Great video! Also checkout notification settings for each notification you receive by tapping hold on each notification. On 5:47 I can see that you don't have silent notifications. You can have silent notifications that won't make a sound but still receive the notification, plus you can even make it so that it won't appear on the lock-screen/aod as well. So that you can have notifications that doesn't bother you, and give priority for important notifications. If you want to go all the way, you can have seperate notification sounds for each app, for each contact, etc. In the next update (which should be around March) we get Notification cooldowns as well.
'Notifications are so much better on android, how has no one ever told me this'. Sir, I believe you've been living under a rock. If you've spend a second on subreddits like r/ios or r/iphone the top complains are for three to five years running are how bad the keyboard is and the notifications. This seems to be the least researched video on ios vs android comparison and pretty much comes across as someone living under a rock for the last 5 years when it comes to mobile OS.
I mean, a lot of iOS users have been living under a rock tbh. That's not even really a criticism of them, but Apple has been seen as the "default" brand for so long that a lot of people haven't even considered that there are other options out there. I have a Pixel 9 Pro XL and I can't tell you how many people have been blown away by it, purely because their idea of Android is still what Android was back in like 2011 - janky, slow, and a bit ugly. Now it's beautiful, extremely intuitive, and things just work a little better than they do on iOS
I use both android and iPhone. Prefer notifications on iPhone and the keyboard though simpler on iPhone it’s much more usable than android. Sometimes we focus on the things we want to read.
I'm excited because I just got a Google pixel 9 pro cell phone yesterday for Christmas ⛄🎁⛄🎁⛄🎁⛄🎁 from my mom and step dad Bob ! It's my first time having a Google pixel 9 pro cell phone. Getting it activated tomorrow so super excited !!! I love taking pictures so I'm excited to use this phone 🤳📱🤳📱 tomorrow :) loved your video !!!
For real. iMessage only seems better to some because so many people (particularly in the US) just refuse to even consider anything could be better or even the same
Great video. I've always used both, at the same time. iPhone on my personal line and Android on my work line. Once I switched to foldables I started using my iPhone less and less. With the release of the 16 series this year, I was beyond underwhelmed. I decided to fully move to just Android and gave my 15 Pro Max to my step son. I'm currently using Pixel 9 Pro Fold on my personal line and a OnePlus Open on my work line. I'm so locked into foldables and love them so much that I can't see myself going back to a regular slab phone. Please get yourself a foldable next and make some videos on your experience. They truly change the smartphone experience.
Yes very true! Everything is excellent but that chipset is weak for me. i used the pixel 8 last year but i was so frustrated by how slow it was. That is why i go back to samsung.
Good video! Here’s a tip, if you haven’t figured out already. You can text through a browser just like you would use iMessage on your Mac. I do it through Chrome. The nice thing is I can do it from my work PC or my home Mac. Also, you can delay text messages. I know you can do that on iOS, but it is only to people who use iMessage. On the pixel, you can delay text messages to anyone.

Former apple user since iPhone 3G But I went with google pixel 9pro XL coming from iPhone 14pro max and I haven’t been more impressed with a phone it’s definitely the most iPhone like android phone too
I also switched to 9PXL mainly for the baked in AI which I use extensively. However, in my experience the combination of fingerprint and face unlock on this phone is substantially inferior to FaceID on my previous iphones. I always use a glass screen protector on all my phones but on the Pixel these appear to interfere with the under screen ultrasonic sensor, such that this feature is essentially broken on the phone. After trying many different brands of glass screen protector, fingerprints are very rarely detected. The face unlock feature works about 85% of the time but only in good light. This means I have to resort to using a PIN to unlock the phone many times a day. Your mileage may vary.
@NickKendall I'm using an s24 ultra! Honestly I love it a lot over stock Android. My fav Samsung feature is 'Bixby Routines' if you've ever heard of it. The corners do hurt my hands though 😂
I’m in the same position as you were. Now iphone 11, but google pixel 9 pro really got me thinking about switch. Hate to leave apple music tho 😂 but I really want to buy pixel after christmas
literraly thinking about switching to pixel 9 pro from iphone 12. iophone started lagging so much and is sometimes stuck at horizontal charging screen and i cant even restart the phone. an the fact that alarm sometimes just doest have sound is beyond me. kinda sick how they cant do basic functions of phone right.
I think the only thing I really miss is the look of imessage and the way pinning conversation looks. Google messages is kind of ugly, but I do like the bubble feature. I initially thought it was sort of gimmicky but as soon as I actively started utilizing it for 1 or 2 conversations I see how useful it actually is. Also, I will say that social media apps are slightly better on IOS, and I'm also not a fan of the native font on the pixel 9 pro. Also apple emoji's if you use them are definitely nicer.
Google needs to fix the flipping/mirroring feature for video. When you flip the video it takes a long time to load and when finished it doesn't flip. A really big inconvenience for me and other users.
will i miss crucial features if i go for the base model??

I often consider switching to the Pixel because certain aspects of the iPhone, like the lack of innovation, bother me. However, what keeps me coming back every time is the overall quality - the camera, speakers, and especially the microphones. The iPhone consistently delivers impressive results, particularly for video recordings of live concerts. As a musician, I can simply place it on the table, play guitar, and the sound is top-notch. I assume other brands might also have good microphones, but they are rarely tested, and no one seems to highlight them in marketing. On other phones, I’ve often experienced poor audio quality. When someone in the audience records me with an iPhone, I always ask for the footage because I know the sound will be great. Unfortunately, I can’t trust other brands the same way - I wish I could. It would be great if reviewers paid more attention to microphone quality in their smartphone tests.
Thank you for this review.I am looking to change from my iphone11 also. This phone I have been looking at but was not sure. Now after your review and show things with this phone I may get it.
finally someone mentioned AirDrop when it comes to switching. But what I miss is connectivity. Like putting on headphones etc. My AirPods with iPhone is seameless. I wonder how it works right now on Android + Mac (or Windows)
I had an iPhone 3GS then used android for a decade, switched back to the iPhone 12 Pro Max which has been great but I definitely have the itch to switch back to team pixel… I’m going to try to make this phone last until iPhone 17 and see what that looks like and go from there though. Very unimpressed with the 16 line. I will say this though: my iPhone 12 Pro Max was twice as expensive as most of the android phones I’ve had but it’s also lasted twice as long. For me the Achilles heel with android is that after about a year and a half my phone would either get excruciatingly slow or have the hardware fail in some way. This iPhone is still chugging along without any real issue 4 years later.
Great video. I'm using the Pixel 7 at the moment, but thinking of upgrading. I think you nailed it by naming Airdrop and iMessage. Personally, I think that iMessage is only really relevant in the US, as most of the world uses different apps. Airdrop, on the other hand is brilliant and there isn't an Android equivalent yet.
Can you pls elaborate little bit about "ingeligent notifications"? I would say notifications are either off or on. Depends how you set them up. Thx (I am android user)
6:56 Seriously? if you are gonna be impressed by these small features, Sir, I beg your pardon, I don't know where have you been living all your life. Android has so many of these nifty features. Let me tell you some. 1. Universal back button through a swipe 2. Once you set an alarm, it will tell you how much it is till the alarm goes on (very useful while setting morning alarms at night, so you know how much sleep you are gonna get. :) 3. Call logs are not all mixed up from all apps. 4. Photos gallery doesn't mix all photos together. And there are many more. Keep exploring, I am sure you will find more. Greetings from India.
I've had quite a few android phones in my life, from LG, Motorola, HTC, Samsung, and now google. While each have their pros and cons I feel that the google phones are some of the best out there. Imo you cant really go wrong with any of the Samsung or Google flagship offering. I think both brands offer far more than apple at the moment
I’m a life long apple user. Gonna make the jump to the pixel tomorrow! Trying to decide between the 8a and the 9 pro XL. The 8a on sale is $8 a month with my carrier and the 9 pro XL is $16. Thoughts? I currently use the iPhone 14 Pro.
I do know both operating systems and your review absolutely checks out! I share your love for certain features. I especially find the typing experience sooo much better on the pixel, it's incredible. 😊 Thanks for your review, well done!
So far I haven't noticed too much in the way of heat, and face ID does work very similar to iPhone, although I generally use the fingerprint scanner since it's faster
I switched for the same reasons. Specially the price and no major advancements in Ios. But I miss two things that is ability to mute any call using Airpods and voice isolation. Apart from these two it's working great so far.
I am an iphone user and want to upgrade from my 11 to the 16 but like you i am finding it way expensive especially if you want to logically go with the 512 MB storage. The main issue i am relunctant to switch to android is that my parents have android phones and i hate the operating system. Having said that , i am seeing and reading everywhere that android has improved a lot and it seems you talked me in to thinking seriously on switching as well . The price of the iphone is becoming more and more ridiculous for just that slim and unimportant upgrade over other phones. The iphone now is just a status symbol for most faithful users. A showoff to say that they have money and can afford to pay such amount for a phone .
My dad also has a budget andriod, and I still hate his OS. The Google Android OS is completely different; I recommending going to a phone shop and having a play around. That helped me to decide if I liked it or not 😊
You have a lot of great points. I bounce back and forth between Android and iOS and always come back to Pixel. Love my Pixel 9 pro. Two things I want to add, and they seem very little: the first is call screening when you get a call from a number you don't know. Absolutely love this. The second seems minor but is a big deal. When you want to go back and edit text you can tap a word and it won't insert the cursor in the middle of the word. IOS always inserts the cursor in between words and then you have to drag the cursor where you want. I like how on the pixel and other Androids you could just tap in the middle of the word and it won't insert the cursor right where you want it.
It is not exactly true that you cannot sms from iPhone. First of all there is no iMessage app as you mentioned in your video, second, you can send sms from your iPhone as you can do that from any phone or smartphone
That’s why it’s great to dip your toes in both systems from time to time - it really widens your perspective and preferences. I myself left Android in 2017 because I got tired of the unoptimized apps and slow OS updates. After nearly a decade I jumped back to experiencing Android this year and absolutely loved it. I finally settled on the Vivo X200 Pro as my secondary phone (16 Pro Max is my primary) this year and this thing is an absolute beast. ZERO REGRETS. I was also successful in persuading my big bro to upgrade to the Pixel 9 Pro XL and he’s in love with it especially with its camera ❤️
Whats the quality of photos taken from social media apps like insta snapchat ???? Apple vs pixel social media apps camera integration please can h compare them❤❤
It's a developer investment problem. I've always just took pics with the primary Pixel camera then uploaded through camera roll. Often times the app developers are using the viewfinder instead of the primary lenses.

Apple Watch? How do you continue to use that? Trying the Pixel has definitely occurred to me as like you I use and like Google services. I think in the end, the main issue for me is the Apple Watch and the years of health data I have collected. Then there is Gemini. I love it and they released a great iOS app that does all that I need.
This was an issue for me too but then I switched to Garmin and the health data from Apple isn’t something I missed it all. I thought I was going to, but I didn’t. As long as Apple Watch is your chosen smart watch though, having anything but an iPhone doesn’t really work.
@@NickKendall Went for the Epix Pro 2 47mm. Very satisfied with the experience, took a couple of days getting used to relying more on button pressing and not having all the smart functions of the AW.
I've found it's the "whole package", "communication between devices and apps", etc that makes iPhones amazing. Anyone can point any thing that another phone is better at. But it's not about the ability to say that something is better somewhere else, but the next steps - especially whether it's used or even usable. For example, I currently have an Oppo Find x6 Pro, and... it's an amazing camera, and specifically - it can zoom in up to 120x. But.... it's unusable... just a gimmick, conversation starter, a point to "boast" about. And I see that anything over 10x on the Oppo is not really good (the limit of 11 Pro Max, the iPhone from which I switched). So, in all the things that "iPhones can't do", I've gradually learned that Apple just limits and stops the gimmicks, so that people focus on "the beyond the phone" - just do the things and not obsess over ability to boast numbers or gimmicks. It's an interesting discussion with people who understand. It's a useless argument with people who don't.
I think this is why Google Pixels new customers are mostly iPhone users, and not other Android phones. Google Pixels are really the iPhone of Android can be as simple and straightforward as you want, or as complex as you want for power users using non-stock customisation It's actually the best Android phone for both. What you're talking about are not gimmicks. Apple strategy is mostly marketing, they cheap out on some other sensors of the phone. For exemple for Pixel's front camera is far ahead the iPhone it also has a wide field of view. Their ecosystem is made around simplicity to understand for the average person this is why Apple succeeded they focussed on what the average customer understands and thinks is better. Google recently started using that strategy, with the Pixel 6 they greatly improved on design the first thing that the customer sees that greatly improved their sales. The A series retained the same core design but cheaper making them appealing. They introduced the Tensor chip (name inspired from their Google Cloud chips but completely different inside) because they understood that the average customer doesn't care about benchmark numbers, just if the phone is smooth to use. At first it was still laggy but with Tensor G4 their bet was achieved it makes the phone smooth but it's 3-4 times cheaper than using the latest Snapdragon chip. Google made a bet on AI making making their phones look more smart than the others, this was a great success now other brands were forced to keep up. They also introced a wider ecosystem unifying them with terms like AI, a similar design language and similar simplicity. The tablet, Pixel Buds... And with the Pixel 9 marketing has again greatly improved they have everything to dethrone the old players Samsung and Apple, using Apple's own strategy, they just need time because these brands are etched into people's mind as the only brands
dude, stop changing the thumbnail every 2 sec, use the thumbnail test comparison inside UA-cam studio instead, it's better than changing the thumbnail every few hours, and will get you better understanding on which thumbnail is attracting more viewers to watch your video, and great video BTW I loved it.

Loved the video. I relate to this as well. I just bought a Pixel 9 and can’t wait to start using it. Can you make a video discussing how you’ve adapted all of your Apple devices to your new Pixel? Any challenges or surprises? My biggest thing is having to invest in new hardware since I rely heavily on my Apple Watch and my AirPods
100%, definitely have some follow up videos planned. And agree, also been a heavy Apple Watch and Airpods user so I think the biggest adjustment I've found so far is moving fitness apps that I was using on my Apple Watch.
That is the point, you have to try both and decide. I bought the iphone 16 Pro Max and I absolutely love it but i have a secondary phone the Pixel 6 which i use just so i can fiddle with android here and there. But i can say that the next phone will be an Google Pixel for sure if Apple doesn’t step up in the next couple years.
The price of iPhone and Apple products in general are the main irritation for me to continue with iPhone. However, for time being the switch seems “took risky” to do. It’s this “if it’s not broken, don’t try to fix it “ phenomena. I have everything in apple ecosystem; mac, iPhone, ipad, apple tv, ipods, etc. it’s just not easy to switch.
Gran punto. ¡Gracias!
I did bought the iPhone 16 pro max and now I do have the google pixel pro just because of the same thing iPhone 16 feels like it’s an iPhone 15 honestly doesn’t worth the update
I have used Samsung Galaxy phones and iPhones off and on for years mostly using iPhones and I am thinking about getting another Samsung Galaxy phone or a Google Pixel in 12 to 15 months minimum and I agree with everything you said in this video. My family and especially my father keep telling me I would be better off staying with iPhone I use gmail, chrome, google photos and a few other google apps on my iPhone and my PC but I also have an Apple Watch 9 and an iPad Air. My family keep trying to tell me that the fact that I have the Apple Watch 9 and an iPad Air is why I should stick with iPhones.
Go and try pixel. In terms of watches and airpods, there are a lot cheaper yet reputable watches and earpods/earbuds out there which work really well with Android for the mean time.
I've found moving away from the Apple Watch the biggest challenge so far as the fitness apps I was using aren't on the Play store.. will keep looking though!
@ How about the videos take on your pixel vs the ones taken by the latest iPhones. This is one area where the newer android flagships can still get a run for their money by the iPhones. I guess video wasn’t covered in this video.
YES the Pixel experience is amazing! Though it was hard keeping it as my primary device since I'm so tied to the iOS ecosystem. Now I am insane and carry around 2 phones 😅
@@NickKendall the 16 pro is my main driver for calls, imessages, and photos/videos when I'm out and about. When I'm home I use the pixel mainly for gaming, web browsing, social media and such. I know it sounds dumb lol but I began to get bored with iOS. Plus, life in the U.S. without an iPhone was harder for me than I thought, so the Pixel keeps things fresh and interesting 😸
1 month later: 10 years iPhone user switched back to iPhone from Pixel reason: Apple ecosystem is hard to escape 😂 Kidding aside, true Android has matured now.
What’s the name of the app you use to replace air drop please at message me back thanks and great video I think you make such good points. I’m so bored with iOS 😂
I would love to go with the pixel but I tested out the pixel 9 and found even in something basic like the Bible app, processor was slow. I don’t know if it was the chip or bad app development but it would lag while I scrolled. This kept me with the iPhone 16 pro. I’m not a gamer so I normally don’t look for best cpu, most work great for me.
Android is a ecosystem, so it can't be the chip. It has to be the app. Unlike iOS that is unique to Apple, Android is a system that has to be built for so many different potential hardware variants, so the app quality can be hit-or-miss.
@ I’ve heard they have put slower processors in the pixel phones and people have complained about it. Processor power is important for how well it can handle managing resource demanding apps. The iPhone processor is faster than the pixel in the latest models
Yeah, that was something I thought about since the chip performance slower than other flagships. I think I have noticed it in small things; so far I'm ok with the tradeoff. Will report back with more in the next video.
Your bible app having lag while scrolling had absolutely nothing to do with the SoC (processor) and everything to do with it just being a poorly optimized/developed app. Generally speaking, the performance on Pixel's for everyday tasks is great. Yes, it's not going to be as performant as the flagship chips produced by Qualcomm or Apple and thus will be slightly inferior in certain areas (for example, graphically intense games) but that'll have near-zero effect on general day-to-day usage and in the vast majority of scenarios, you won't notice the difference. I have both a Pixel 9 and iPhone 14 Pro Max and for the vast majority of the apps I use, the experience is more or less identical across both. There is always an outlier or two, but that's more the exception than the rule.
TBH i switched because i was just BORED of apple ios look

@mikldude9376 i cannot tell you how much I enjoyed reading every single word. I literally agreed with everything you've said. Thank you for taking the time. I use both iOS and Android.
So I see the magic in both same as you. Thank you. Have a blessed year.
Great video! I switched from iPhone 15 pro Max to the pixel 9 pro fold. I haven't looked back since I am enjoying the pixel experience. Phones are Fun again
So good! The Fold looks great!
how's the camera on the fold?
Ohh yes thanks for sharing that! I've had a little bit of a look into notification customization, but will have to dig a bit deeper!
10 years apparently 🤣
I actually hate Android's notification.
@@MaiElizabeth The cope is real.
Nice! Enjoy it!! 😊🙌
i got mine for hannukah yesreday!!!!
7:38 finally somebody admits that imessage < Google messages
For real. iMessage only seems better to some because so many people (particularly in the US) just refuse to even consider anything could be better or even the same
Great video.
Thanks for sharing that, I'm seeing a lot of people comment on how much they love the folds. Might have to check it out!! 🙌

Google has the potential to make a better ecosystem than Apple. It's just in their processors where they need a little help.
I have to agree there!
Yes very true! Everything is excellent but that chipset is weak for me. i used the pixel 8 last year but i was so frustrated by how slow it was. That is why i go back to samsung.
They could, if they stopped killing features and software people liked.
Yes, I've been loving the browser texting!! And great point regarding being about to schedule texts to anyone!! 🙌
Quick share is equivalent to air drop, and I think it's faster.
Yeah, Local Send is what I've been using so far and the transfer time is definitely faster than Airdrop.
@@NickKendall LocalSend is awesome and totally cross-platform :) PairDrop is another good alternative if you want something for quick web-based transfers but LocalSend is great for having native apps everywhere
Google was said to be making Quick Share for Macs.
Exactly what I say going to say, Quickshare is really fast.
@@NickKendall KDE Connect works very well between android, windows, Linux and even mac/iphone and provides file transfer, clipboard sharing, notification intelligence (pause a video on the computer when the phone rings)
bro you can send SMS messages from the imessage app, what?
Yesssss 😂😂RCS to keep the Apple fanboys happy ✌️
@@andredegelder7383 Has nothing to do with RCS. The feature to send and receive SMS/MMS has been built into Messages for years, you just have to enable the forwarding feature on your iPhone. Otherwise, only iMessages would sync across devices.
Customization is there so that you can make the experience easier for you, not more difficult. It's one day of complexity for 1,000 days of simplicity.
Former apple user since iPhone 3G
But I went with google pixel 9pro XL coming from iPhone 14pro max and I haven’t been more impressed with a phone it’s definitely the most iPhone like android phone too
Also iPhones have been boring since forever
Nice, interesting to hear people with newer iPhones are having the same experience as me coming from the 11!
Great video, Nick. Wait until you actually start using the Phone app and its exclusive features like Call Screening, Hold For Me, Recorder, etc.
Ohh yes, I've used screening and hold for me a couple of times and they are amazing!!
Welcome to the dark side 🌚🌚🌚
haha thanks what do you have??
@NickKendall I'm using an s24 ultra! Honestly I love it a lot over stock Android. My fav Samsung feature is 'Bixby Routines' if you've ever heard of it. The corners do hurt my hands though 😂
@@NickKendall welcome from me too, ive got the pixel 9 pro and the pixel 9 pro fold aswell
I’m in the same position as you were. Now iphone 11, but google pixel 9 pro really got me thinking about switch. Hate to leave apple music tho 😂 but I really want to buy pixel after christmas
Apple Music is still available on Pixel as well I have the 9 pro XL and still use it fine.

@@mc1877 and believe it or not that how I knew I could switched to pixel a long time ago!

How is the app experience on Android now?
Do you like the display? Do you notice that there is no anti-flicker function?
Yeah love the display; haven't noticed a lack of anti-flicker apart from when trying to film the screen for videos. I can see a flicker then.
Which app you use to transfer files from the phone to the Mac?
Localsend!
Just upgraded from oppo X5 find pro to this and I'm blown away by this .
literraly thinking about switching to pixel 9 pro from iphone 12. iophone started lagging so much and is sometimes stuck at horizontal charging screen and i cant even restart the phone. an the fact that alarm sometimes just doest have sound is beyond me. kinda sick how they cant do basic functions of phone right.
How do you keep photos and videos organised on Google Photos? Can you cover this on one of your next videos?
cant wait to switch back to google pixel from an iphone 11
And the reason is....?

Try the MotionCam Pro for RAW Video on Pixel 8:33
Ohh thanks for the tip!! 🙌
Hi Nick, I like ur presentation so much, Will switched to google pixel for sure
Thanks! Hope you enjoy the switch! :)
will i miss crucial features if i go for the base model??
Nice, I think you'll enjoy it!! It's nice to even just for a change!
finally someone mentioned AirDrop when it comes to switching. But what I miss is connectivity. Like putting on headphones etc.
My AirPods with iPhone is seameless. I wonder how it works right now on Android + Mac (or Windows)
use the video boost technology in the pixel its really good u will love it 😮
Absolutely agree. 8K Video Boost is especially under-appreciated.
Keen to test this out more!!
Did you set it to 120hz, please do
Sure did!
Can you pls elaborate little bit about "ingeligent notifications"? I would say notifications are either off or on. Depends how you set them up. Thx
(I am android user)
6:56 Seriously? if you are gonna be impressed by these small features, Sir, I beg your pardon, I don't know where have you been living all your life. Android has so many of these nifty features. Let me tell you some.
1. Universal back button through a swipe
2. Once you set an alarm, it will tell you how much it is till the alarm goes on (very useful while setting morning alarms at night, so you know how much sleep you are gonna get. :)
3. Call logs are not all mixed up from all apps.
4. Photos gallery doesn't mix all photos together.
And there are many more. Keep exploring, I am sure you will find more.
Greetings from India.
Won't regret...
Using the pixel 8 pro and absolutely love it! Tried using the 14 pro and 15 pro, not even comparable!!
🙌
Nice! I haven't looked too much into the 8a to be honest, so I'm probably not much help sorry!
What’s the name of your icon pack on the pixel ?
That's stock
I do know both operating systems and your review absolutely checks out! I share your love for certain features. I especially find the typing experience sooo much better on the pixel, it's incredible. 😊 Thanks for your review, well done!
Thanks! It's amazing how much of a difference something simple like typing can make. 🙏
Hi, could u please let me know if gets hot during using apps and if the face id works like an iphone? Thanks
So far I haven't noticed too much in the way of heat, and face ID does work very similar to iPhone, although I generally use the fingerprint scanner since it's faster
@ thanks
I switched for the same reasons. Specially the price and no major advancements in Ios. But I miss two things that is ability to mute any call using Airpods and voice isolation. Apart from these two it's working great so far.
Nice!!
That helped me to decide if I liked it or not 😊
@ thnx for the suggestion 👍
Android is still worse that iOS. I have the same problem of 1-st world - iOS is boring for me.
Thanks for sharing! I agree, it's a bunch of these seemingly small things that are really making me enjoy the overall experience better than iOS.
Call screening 5000000% is why I love my Pixel. And it takes better cat photos when they're in motion.
Great video! I had the exact same experience, I was so afraid to switch to Apple but now I love my pixel 8 Pro
🙌
🔥🙌
Good video. Just a question. How it works with Apple AirPods? It connect easily? thanks
AirPods will work with an android device just like a typical Bluetooth headset.
You will be able to use noise cancelling with 3rd party apps but otherwise you will have to connect and use them as regular bluetooth earphones
@jasonashley9853 any solution or temp fix ?😭🙏🏻
@Kaavyasharmavlogs always use the proper camera app. And it's not so bad. It's a workaround. That is. Unless they fixed the apps.

I literally use pixelos on a 100usd phone from 2019 and it works great.
The os is as clean as it can get and it’s smooth af
I used windows phone for 5 years and switched to android because they stopped making windows phones, then I switched to iPhone and used it for a month or 2 then switch back to android (Pixel only)
Apple Watch? How do you continue to use that?
Trying the Pixel has definitely occurred to me as like you I use and like Google services. I think in the end, the main issue for me is the Apple Watch and the years of health data I have collected.
Then there is Gemini. I love it and they released a great iOS app that does all that I need.
This was an issue for me too but then I switched to Garmin and the health data from Apple isn’t something I missed it all. I thought I was going to, but I didn’t. As long as Apple Watch is your chosen smart watch though, having anything but an iPhone doesn’t really work.
What Garmin did you get? I've been looking into them as well.
@@NickKendall Went for the Epix Pro 2 47mm. Very satisfied with the experience, took a couple of days getting used to relying more on button pressing and not having all the smart functions of the AW.
Also look out for the pixel quarterly updates. Keeps your phone up to date and fresh with new features
Good tip! I'll make sure to check them out :)
I switched from the iPhone and i never want back 😊
Realy liked your no bs to the point video!
Appreciate that!
Is that a TMNT widget?
dude, stop changing the thumbnail every 2 sec, use the thumbnail test comparison inside UA-cam studio instead, it's better than changing the thumbnail every few hours, and will get you better understanding on which thumbnail is attracting more viewers to watch your video, and great video BTW I loved it.
Glad you enjoyed the video! I'm actually using a different thumbnail test service that gives me more insights than the UA-cam one :)
@NickKendall ah ok, I saw in vidiq that you changed the thumbnail a lot in a short time, I thought you're doing it manually

I totally relate; it seemed too risky to switch for years, but so far it's been a lot easier than I expected!
Great video, new subscriber here. Looking forward to the full review!

Gran punto. ¡Gracias!

Is the video quality good on the pixel 9 pro cell phone 📱 ?
How are you managing using Google photos and Instagram? Are you able to access your photos that you've uploaded on Google photos on Instagram app?
Have been noticing some weird things here! Will report back in the next video!
I watched the video as I just curious. I've a iPhone 14 Pro & it's still really good!

I also used iPhone for 10 years and switched to pixel 9 pro. Was one plus 1-3 user before.
Nice, what do you think so far?
The S25 Ultra will now have rounded corners and not the boxy look.
Keen to see it!
Iphone 16 with a 60Hz screen in 2024 is criminal. I know how apple users defend it by saying that it 'feels' smooth.
I am loving the higher refresh rate on the new Pixel. Feels great!
Now I am insane and carry around 2 phones 😅
haha nice; although how do you use each one differently??
@@NickKendall the 16 pro is my main driver for calls, imessages, and photos/videos when I'm out and about. When I'm home I use the pixel mainly for gaming, web browsing, social media and such. I know it sounds dumb lol but I began to get bored with iOS. Plus, life in the U.S. without an iPhone was harder for me than I thought, so the Pixel keeps things fresh and interesting 😸
How long does your battery last? That's my only fear, I understand that the OnePlus 13 lasts 3 hours longer and charges in less than half the time

@@DanWalshTV logos Bible software is very popular and runs like butter on iOS. Either way, it’s a disappointment.
Why the heck would you use chat gpt when you got Gemini
I still rank ChatGPT higher than Gemini :)
How can anyone dislike Face ID. It literally has never not worked for me in any situation.
I wanna switch to the pixel 9 pro too. But my Apple Watch, air tags would be useless
I just switched from iphone 12 to pixel 8 pro. It's really fast
Awesome choice 👏🏾
Switched to xiaomi after 10 years of using iPhones. Excited to see how it plays out
Hope it goes well! 🙌
