    Here in Australia I have a reverse cycle A/C. So now what are the difference?

      As far as I can tell a reverse cycle AC is what we call a heat pump here. It does AC and Heat

      pump is simply called a device which works on input electricity reversible air conditioner are also called heat pumps which provide both cooling and heating .

    My new home has an old forced air oil burning furnace that doesn't work. The temps. in winter can fall to -20 F sometimes. Summers are not very hot. There's no gas lines, but we could get propane. What's the best option for us?

    quick question. we are looking to view a house but under the specs it lists the cooling or a/c as running on gas. I've never even heard of an ac running on gas. could it be a typo? really old? a red flag? i've been looking through google for hours trying to find out anything i can and am not having much luck. thank you.

      It’s most likely a typo. Refrigerant (Freon) is a gas. So they might mean that, instead of natural gas. If the unit is over 20 years old, you will need to replace it soon.
