Thank you for the video. This is #16 so I will have to go back and watch the rest. New subscriber. Guys like you who film their work give us all courage to get to working on our own projects.

Hey brother it’s a learning process. I spent 5 years restoring my 65 Fastback. 1 step forward and 2 step back. Drove me crazy but I did finish and you will too. Looking good.

You were spot on, splitting your new front torque boxes apart. It's really the only way to go, unless your doing inner and outer rockers at the same time.. blowing thru from time to time, is gonna happen, especially with reworked -somewhat thinner metal, after rust removal. Though backing up, the backside of a vulnerable area with a copper welding spoon/backer helps you prevent blow thru. And even it happens, you can "fill it in" with weld anyway.. They're available from Eastwood and Harbor freight... It's really fun watching someone else, learning to do the same skills at the same time that I am... Keep going !!!

I realized I had my welder setting way too hot. As soon as I corrected that it worked way better. I have have a piece of copper I use once in a while.

Just spread it with a jack, or a wood block as a wedge

@@ProjectBarn CubanoBuilt is correct. The 69-70 Mustangs run the E-brake cable thought the torque box. There is a hole at the top of the box and then another hole in the vertical portion of the torque box under the floor. The important part missing on your torque box is the channel inside the lid of the torque box. That channel guides the E-brake thought the box when you assemble the car. Without the guide inside the box assemble will be very difficult. Have a look at part number 3655AWT made by Dynacorn. It has the correct stamping components. Great work! Keep the videos coming.

@@marksignorelli1425 Interesting. I guess I'll have to figure something out when the time comes. I feel like this won't be my only oversight haha.

@@marksignorelli1425sooooo that’s what that is!!! Here I thought ford had put some additional bracing in the 69 torque box!!! Here it’s just a e brake channel. Thanks for the input!!!
