@@rudolfsrudzitis931 I’m about 5’8. I would say you can be pretty tall and still have good leg room. The foot rests adjust pretty far. However, the further you adjust them down the more limited your space is towards the bow. So it really depends on how you’re going rig and use it. If you’re worried about the space I would really check out a 12ft. If I could do it again, I would go bigger than 10ft lol
Don't stand up and try to fish (if you're over 6'4", and 210#) I learned the "Hard-Way"! Haha! Other than that, it's a lot of 'Yak for the money. I use my Catch 100 several times a week, even in the Wintertime, unless it's choppy/windy/have to go several miles. then I jump in the Titan ( which is a couple thousand $$ more, and weighs about 100 pounds more, too!). Haha!
Got a question sir. I just took my pelican catch 100 out for the first time. Had a great time. When it was time to leave i went to load the kayak back into my truck and noticed the kayak was alot heavier than when i put it into the water. I removed the back plug and a lot of water came out. I raised the front of the kayak and drained all the water out of the kayak. Is that normal? Any idea how the water got inside there? Thank you
We’ll if ur not sinking bc of it should bc okay. I’d say on a free day ur not to busy just start filling it with water and see if that water is leaking out anywhere it shouldn’t be. Then that would be where ur taking on water. But usually if it’s not a lot it could just be from u splashing or water dripping from ur paddle into the kayak. But definitely wanna fill it with water or something and check for any holes or leaks
Honestly, I don’t know. I’ve never gotten a chance to use one of them. It seems like a pretty affordable price considering it’s a peddle drive kayak. I’m not sure about the quality vs other brands though. Check out Aliex Folgueira. I believe he has a few vids on the hydra drives.
Good review. I have the Catch 100 and totally agree with your assessment. Thanks.
Yeap., That's the way to go! 👍😎🎣🐟
Great video !! I saw this on the Academy website and you provided some valuable information.
Great video! Can you do a review on your fish finder set up? I have the same yak and am looking into a fish finder set up.
Tracks fine for me. I can catch just as many fish in this then those car note kayaks
when yall get that grab bar lol
I almost bought this kayak but I bought a different one because it doesn't track very well at all.
How tall are you? What do you think is the max heigh to feel comfortable in this kayak? In the sence of space for legs?

Have tried it on a river float with a current?

Is the hydra drive version worth the price?

Have you seen hobies new version? You can almost turn in your radius. No anchors required
You'll need a skeg to track straight.
No joke! Definitely wish it came with something similar to the Old Town rudder.
@@wingshotoutdoors I picked up one online for 75$. ADVANCED, I believe is the company.
Found a video on the tube.
Far less than old town.
Added a skeg to mine tracks 90% better....good boat!
@@philipjohnson6662 Try ebay I got mine with the cables for 38.00
