The plastic is weak, you should see the cracks on mine. It's terrible, but the kayak is awesome I'd buy another. I don't feel as though we should have to add more things to stiffen the deck area (personal opinion) but I have seen people build a plywood cut out for the deck. These "Kayaks" don't need more weight on them but they look slick and apparently it works.
100% agree. This kayak is great. Great on the water and easily customizable, but the plastic is a huge downside to this kayak. I’ve seen some pictures with the plywood decks but not sure I would want the weight. I think the easiest way to remedy the problem is to buy more foam/blocks under the deck.
I was looking at your video and I wanted to know is there a company out there that can fix those cracks is something you could do yourself? I don’t know I’m asking because I love the boat myself. I like your video so I just wanted to know if you’ve been looking for somebody to fix them I wanna be informed, that would be a good video
Not sure about any company but there are videos out there that walk you through the process. You can plastic weld. It was not the route I wanted to go.

@aclifffishing I plan to get another, will definitely be taking the foam from mine and adding it to the new 1.
