I recently got a 1000va toridial transformer that has 51 0 51, 15 0 15, and 12 0 12 taps. It makes 72vdc after the rectifier. It's too bad the sine wave doesn't look too good. Would it still be ok for a subwoofer and would it cause any damage?
Should be ok for a sub driver make sure to add a subwoofer crossover filter to further remove the high freq noise. 72 Volts is fine, the power supply for the board says 60V to 80V can be seen in the video at around 3:04 mark, pause the vid it is beside the red capacitor, top right.
Thank you for the video! How many watts is this power supply?I suggest you add a low noise filter between this power supply and the amp.
