This is the show 'Så mycket bättre', where artists meet and make covers of each other's songs. This piece was originally by Maxida Märaks, who is very touched by Melissas rendition of her song.
This is from a very big tvshow in Sweden called Så mycket bättre. The short synopsis of the show is that popular Swedish singers live together for a while getting to know eachother and they all do covers of eachothers songs! So this is not Melissa Horns own song but a cover of a song from Maxida Märak - the women she hugged at the end. So it is a very beutiful song and lyric and Maxida got very touched because its her song and it is very special for her. You should definitely check out Maxida Märak! She is a very unique artist and activist who mixes traditional sami (natives of the nordics) singing and rap! Some of her best songs according to me is: Backa bak, Baseball bat, Äter upp dig och Järnrör
It is Maxidas song, the woman crying (she is Same artist). The program is established artists, so not a talent show, singing other artists song. Melissa sang Maxidas song. Melissa Horn is known for melancholic songs and mostly about broken love.
Thomas Stenström and Daniel Adams Ray, who are also seen breifly in this clip, are two other fantastic artists you should react to! This TV-show has some really great performances in general.
Two names - the band Kent and the singer Helen Sjöholm (doing "Du måste finnas", "You Must Exist", and there is a live version from Minnesota on UA-cam with English subtitles).
Other artists: - Viktor Leksell - Kent - Albin Lee - Eva Dahlgren - Lisa Ekdahl - Monica Mac - Veronica Maggio - Molly Sandén - Laleh - Ellen Kraus - Thomas Stenström - Lars Winnerbäck - Miss Li - Patrik Isaksson - Tomas Ledin - Tommy Nilsson - Uno Svenningsson - Cornelis Vreeswijk - Sabina Dumpa - Chris Kläfford - Norlie & KKV - Danny Saucedo - Darin
You should check out the cover of "Här kommer natten" by Miss Li from the same TV-show. It will grip your heartstrings, unless you're an unfeeling pooperdoodle. The original song's by our legendary artist Pugh Rogefeldt.
Lova ingenting = Don't promise anything. "Så mycket bättre" is my favorite TV-show, music show. Singers meet and sing their own version of some other singers songs. And it is always a lot of emotion, because an artist has chosen their own song, their own creation, and made something often even more beautiful than the first version, or at least they hav often found other emotions, strong emotions and meaning in the lyrics.
Here is a list of artists I think you would like: Maxida Märak (sami rap), Timbuktu (hip hop), Sarah Klang (folk pop), Sofia Jannok (sami pop), Daniel Adams-Ray (pop), Oskar Linnros (pop), Kapten Röd (pop raggae), Darin (pop), Albin Lee Meldau (folk), First Aid Kit (folk pop), Titiyo (soul/pop), The Ark (glamrock), Cornelis Vreeswijk (folk), Daniela Rathana (pop/soul), Stor (hiphop) and Soundtrack of our lives (poprock). There is SO many more but here is a start!
That man with the cap and jean shirt is one of Sweden's absolute best singers, Peter Jöback. He is amazing, you should check him out. I'd recommend the songs "Guldet Blev Till Sand" (there is a translation with it), "Hollow" (from when he sang in the Swedish Melodifestivalen), Higher (a pop song from the early 2000's) and then "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" that he sang at the Royal Wedding for our second princess (would recommend the live version from the actual wedding). He has lots more than those songs though. He's been in Phantom Of The Opera on Broadway, as the phantom. :) His voice is fantastic!.
We were only sixteen years old but adults inside You had a lot of wounds and I was spared The best thing that ever happened was that I looked your way We said we would last forever We would never be like them, remember that? I have never regretted that we swore it There is a relief in that none of us know What happens tomorrow and the days after that Promise nothing but please stay The two of us are chaos, but are so right for each other The way you touch me drives me crazy Promise nothing I think of you every time I'm not with you And every time someone asks how I want them to take me There is a sadness in that none of us know Why exactly you and I didn't make it? Promise nothing but please stay The two of us are chaos, but are so right for each other The way you touch me drives me crazy Promise nothing Promise nothing Promise nothing Promise nothing, but stay in my life because I'm an adult now But sixteen inside So promise nothing but please stay The two of us are chaos, but are so right for each other The way you touch me drives me crazy Promise nothing, so we don't create something that ends Plz enjoy
Melissa has been one of my absolute favorite Swedish artist since the very first time I listened to her back in 2008/2009. She's very poetic and as you pointed out, a real storyteller. Some of her original songs that I highly recommend: - basically every song from the first two albums - "Jag saknar dig mindre och mindre", "under löven", "du är nog den" and "innan jag kände dig" from the 3rd album. - "Där går mitt liv" - "Varför slutar allt i tårar"
You should react to "Max Martin - Hot 100 Chart History (1995 - 2021)" If you really want your jaw to drop. Max has written sooo many bangers that never reached number one.😊
As others have already said, this is from "Så mycket bättre", and is one of my favorites moments from that show. Maxida (the blond girl) sang the original version, and in the show she talked about how personal and emotional the her original is to her. It's about the relationship she has to her ex boyfriend. I would love to see you react to more performance from Så mycket bättre. Maxida herself made several great interpretations as well. My favorite is when she sings "Änglar". I'm not sure if the whole performance from the actual tv show is available on UA-cam, but I think you can find the song alone. Otherwise you can watch Maxidas version of Eloise to get a feeling of her style.
You seriously need to check out "Helene Sjöholm - Du måste finnas". It is an absolutely amazing song and there are hundreds of reaction videos out there but I'd love to see your reaction to it! There is a version with English subtitles and I'd recommend doing that one because the lyrics are quite powerful.
Here is couple of my favorites other than gettomasa: sexmane, melo, ege zulu, turisti, ibe, costi, jore&zpoppa. I think you should react some of them. All of them have different style to rap but i think they are really good.
FYI when you watch videos the subtitles is almost below the video line, but when you pause we can all see the subtitles. so rewatch like your "Ghost Love Score" video or the "En Livstid I Krig" one and see how the PIP video pops up when you pause. just a friendly helpful line since I've already seen the originals and speak Swedish
The program she sings is called: So much better. A number of artists gather on Gotland for a period of time and they do their own interpretation of another artist's song. So Melissa Horn - Promise nothing, is actually Maxida Märak's song and it's a young girl with updo hair who sits and cries a little. This is what the original sounds like Maxida Märak - Promise nothing (Official Audio) ua-cam.com/video/G2ybIV3N93I/v-deo.html
Have you gotten a list for some Metal band, since getting introduced to Sabaton? Well😊 Amon Amarth - Saxon and Vikings (feat Saxons), Twilight of the Thunder God or Guardians Of Asgaard Ghost - Mary On a Cross (Live in Tampa), Cirise (music video) or He Is In Flames - Meet Your Maker, Stay With Me or Only For The Weak Amaranthe - The Nexus, Digital World or Damnation flame Hammerfall - Hearts on fire, Brotherhood or Renegade Brothers of Metal - Yggdrasil, One or Kaunaz Dagaz Evergrey - Falling from the Sun, Say or Misfortune Opeth - Wondowpane, Ghost of Perdition or In my Time of Need Majestica - Metal United, Above the Sky or Ghost of Marley Their is more band, I just need sleep now.
the emotional woman is Maxida Märaks and the song Lova ingenting is made by her so thats why she gets emotional when melissa horn sings her song on the tv show så mycket bättre🙂
Nah this show is like a Homage show, artist interoperate other artists most classic songs in their own versions, to more or less pay an homage to the original artist of the song.
Its not a talent contest, its a show where Swedish artists participate, reside and live together on Gotland for 8 days. A group of artist makes and sings thier own version of one artist at the end of the day, also during the day they also talk little about thats artist history. The Swedish program så mycket bättre (So much better) is based on the Dutch program De beste zangers van Nederland which premiered in 2009, and since franchised to 9 countries. (sweden, norway, belgium, estonia, finland, france, germany, spain, netherlands) edit- ''For the tenth season, in conjunction with the show's 10th anniversary, the format was changed by almost doubling the number of contestants. None of the artists have their own day anymore and a maximum of three of them are in all programs while the rest are in some of them. Artists who have been in the past can also make a comeback.''

You should check out her ”Jag saknar dig mindre och mindre ”. It’s my favourite song of hers
They are all professional artists. It is the crying womans song. That day every artist sang one of her songs in their own way.

Looks like a TV show called "Så mycket bättre" (So much better), where a group of artists make their own versions of other artists songs
Please listen to these two songs by
Melissa Horn - "aldrig vågat" + "lämna honom".. she is one of my favorite swedish singers.
We were only sixteen years old but adults inside
You had a lot of wounds and I was spared
The best thing that ever happened was that I looked your way
We said we would last forever
We would never be like them, remember that?
I have never regretted that we swore it
There is a relief in that none of us know
What happens tomorrow and the days after that
Promise nothing but please stay
The two of us are chaos, but are so right for each other
The way you touch me drives me crazy
Promise nothing
I think of you every time I'm not with you
And every time someone asks how I want them to take me
There is a sadness in that none of us know
Why exactly you and I didn't make it?
Promise nothing but please stay
The two of us are chaos, but are so right for each other
The way you touch me drives me crazy
Promise nothing
Promise nothing
Promise nothing
Promise nothing, but stay in my life because I'm an adult now
But sixteen inside
So promise nothing but please stay
The two of us are chaos, but are so right for each other
The way you touch me drives me crazy
Promise nothing, so we don't create something that ends
Plz enjoy

Here is something swedish... Dirty Loops and the song "Breakdown".
I will strongly recomend Lars Winnerbäck. Melissa Horn and him made a song togheter: om du lämnar mig nu ❤
No that wasn't Melissa Horn, it was Miss Li - but I agree, they are worth listening to.
@@currentoflinden sorry..I must have been tired when I wrote that 🤣🤣
Happens to all of us 😄
