He arranged these songs to suit him singing alone but watching them perform these songs as a band is a blast. And yes he is a chameleon as an artist and as a person and to have a very good sense of humor and wit...and oh...he plays a lot of instruments as well...he is everything, a whole package.
Just to add on to what everyone else has said, Yonghwa lives and breathes music and the most joyful thing ever for him is performing on stage. The songs you heard here are only a small selection of a 14-year career (by the time of the recording) and include songs from both CNBLUE albums and his solo albums plus OSTs and even a male-female duet collab. He wrote the vast majority of the tracks too, and his versatility as a songwriter is just as astonishing as his versatility as a singer. (In case you're curious, he's the lead vocal and main songwriter for CNBLUE, and he plays the guitar and keyboards on top of singing.)
And again i'm repeating what everyone else has said, but really the absolute best way to experience him is through a full-length concert, whether CNBLUE or solo, and preferably in person if possible. The studio albums are lovely to listen to on their own, but the live performances are a totally different level of power altogether, especially for the hard rocking songs that weren't included in this Killing Voice selection. You can get a taste of his live in concert performances by going to the CNBLUE UA-cam channel and checking out the recent live clips for the solo concert Your City in Seoul as well as the CNBLUE concert CNBLUENTITY.
(And as a side note, i attended both these concerts in person, and the videos as exciting as they are only show you a fraction of what it's like. When you're in the hall with him, the energy is absolutely insane and everyone is on their feet singing and screaming and dancing non-stop, and he himself is an Energiser Bunny who absolutely cannot stay still in one spot and THRIVES on the interaction with the audience, and he can probably go on all night if you would only let him!)

This means a lot to us (BOICE - their fanclub) and CNBLUE too, as we are riding on a big wave together to be top of the world ✊🏻 one of their dreams is to perform at the bigger spaces, and Boice all around the world are saving up to see them performing at Tokyo Dome as the first venue!
CNBLUE is the one that paved the way for Kbands to bloom as they are now, along with their label mate (FTISLAND). Both of them already on their on level. I have so many favourite artists and they are more widely recognise even by non-fans, yet none could ever catch my attention like CNBLUE does.
Just a head up, this is one of the chillest performance of JUNG YONG HWA 😌 his energy is insaneeee, especially when he's performing with the lovely bandmates - KANG MINHYUK & LEE JUNGSHIN! Their live perfomances are super addictive and almost have no ending. Currently the longest record was almost 4 hours, and Yonghwa promised us that he won't stop until the fans beg him when the dream of performing in bigger space comes. Yeah, he's that kind of cool and crazy and we enjoy that every bit 😎
Fyi, Yonghwa is known as ‘The Musical Genius’ as he is so pro at the music arrangement that he will rearrange their own songs when they are performing in tour. Ah, you guys should see his interpretation of others’ songs in his style too! Not to mention, he’s a member of KOMCA due to the songs that credit to him. His vocal ranges and techniques also never fail to surprise us even after almost 15 years, there’s always something new we could hear from him.
All members of the band also the all rounder. They can sing, act, compose, produce, hosting and write (i mean one of them literally release his books 😂). They can play various instruments too, anyhow we only got to see Yonghwa showing that off as for now. Back then, they used to switch up their positions during live performance just for fun and they slayyy! They even got the proposal to debut as a professional for things that they do as hobbies. At this point, we don’t know what they cannot do and perhaps they are hiding it from us because there will be a chaotic event every time they are exposing that 🤣
Currently, they are more active than ever with the solo tour, Asia Tour, band-collab shows, shows recording, fanmeeting, all sort of music festivals and not to forget, they are preparing for their comeback too! We need to rearrange our schedules as they keep announcing their shows. Boice and CNBLUE are officially bestie now because we keep seeing each other every week more than we are seeing our friends in real life 😚
Can't miss to mention this - on top of they are so pleasing to our ears and eyes, they are super funny too! it's always fun to see them even we are not physically there! Their stage manner is outstanding, and they are very appreciative of each other. Even though Yonghwa is the front man, he will drives the fans go crazy with Minhyuk and Jungshin too 🙈

Thank you so much for your reaction!! This truly made my week 🙏 I meant 14 yrs ago he made me fall in love with Korean music, but regardless... Still one of, if not the best, performer i've seen yet. Will always be a favorite. And it's unfortunate how many people are still so unaware of CN Blue and Jung Yong Hwa. I highly recommend you watch cnblue live performances! Yonghwa is a incredibly charismatic performer and in this dingo live he is not even showing 30% of what he is capable of. CNBLUE, along with ft island, were really the pioneers when it came to making k bands more popular. CNBLUE was the first k band to do a world tour and at one point held the record for fastest music show win after debut.

Jung Yong Hwa and CnBlue are Korean legends. Many people got into k-pop because of CnBlue and FT-Island. In their time, CnBlue were on the same level in popularity as the most famous k-pop groups. They were even the first k-pop artists to do a world tour. In Korea, rock bands are not as popular as pop groups, so CnBlue's Korean songs are more pop, but their repertoire for the Japanese audience (where they are very popular) is much more rock. CnBlue have the best live shows in all of SK, with all due respect to other k-pop artists. Young Hwa is a stage animal. He also wrote most of the songs. CnBlue had four members, unfortunately their lead guitarist was remotely involved in a disgusting sex scandal with a Big Bang member.

17 years? Wow.. maybe before Yonghwa's debut? Coz CNBLUE debut was 2010 in S.Korea or 2009 in Japan.

Wow...surreal. I am one of those who got into kdrama, korean music because of cnblue ( yonghwa made me learn about cnblue as he was an actor before debut as cnblue, loved snsd because of Seohyun, moved on to like bap and vixx and the list and music choice diversified)...and because of my kpop viewing that youtube recommended a video of sb19 which made me an atin and came across your channel as I watched one of your reaction to sb19. I gravitated to cnblue because mybackground of choice of music is band/country and cnblueand ftisland are pioneers to breaking the barrier between dance and song groups and instrument playing groups. In fact they got some negative reception initially just because they are 'flower boys' and that music shows do not wire their instruments and they had to mimic playing their instruments and just because music shows are not equipped for their style thus their fans look forward to live presentations and concerts as they are really good. And yonghwa composes and produces most of their music.

I would also recommend reacting to Lee Hongki's killing voice! He's from the band FTIsland who are labelmates of CNBLUE and the first "idol" band in Korea (though they do more rock now).
My favorite band is their other labelmate N.Flying, though! 😂I recommend N.Flying's live performance of Flashback 💙

Not all of the songs he sang here belong to CNblue. Some are his solo songs. For example , 2 of the songs are OSTs from his drama "heartstrings" and 2 other songs are related to the show " We got married " in which he was a cast member along with SNSD's Seohyun. And he is in Dingo killing voice alone cause he is promoting his newly released solo ( the last song ).
