Thank you for posting this video. I'm a little intimidated with the installation process. I have a few questions. Is there detailed instructions?

I don't know where you all live, but in So Calif. the attic would be way too hot in the summer time not to mention all the dust.

Hahahahaha, well look from this side.
If you build something like this, obviously you would build something to protect that tv once it goes up there.
Some kind of protection box or similar...

I am thinking about purchasing one of these but I need to see how it is installed. Can you email me the directions or link me to your website with instructions? Do you have any more videos?

Chad, curious what type of drywall bead did you use to get such a nice finished edge.

I used metal "J" bead on the outer and inner perimeter of the opening

Chad, this is perfect. Can you tell me how you cut it perfectly and how you finished the edge of the sheet rock so there is no dust?

www.homedepot.com/p/Clark-Dietrich-10-ft-PVC-L-Mould-Corner-Bead-12VINL10H/202848954, probably topped w/ siliconized acrylic or latex paint.
Cut it with an oscillating half-circle cutter.

I cut the opening with a drywall router, and finished the edge with metal "J" bead

I ordered it from firgelliauto.c*m when i bought it the price was 450.00 but i just went to their web site and they are 590.00. I bought the 40 inch model so the tv would come down lower, the thirty inch would have worked but it would stay closer to the ceiling. There is a little work involved in installing but well worth it. Just make sure you have sufficient attic height to accomodate either the 40 or 30 inch actuator. I also insulated the mdf box i built in the attic to help keep out heat

Would it be possible for you to provide rough dimensions on the MDF box you built and how you secured the lift in the attic with the box around it? I'm contemplating buying this lift, but would absolutely need to seal the TV (and lift) inside the attic both from the elements in the attic and heat escaping into the attic. Any help would be appreciated!

The box is approximately 48" wide x 14 1/2"thick 36" tall. I was able to slip it in between two joists and fasten it directly to them, also braced the top to the rafters. It is insulated with R 19 in the attic with straps securing it to the box. I painted the MDF with a flat black paint before I assembled the box.... I hope this helps

Also, the box is not supporting the tv, it is just for cosmetic and insulation purposes.... the center arm of the actuator runs thru the box and is mounted directly to the rafters. It takes a little ingenuity but it is well worth the effort. I still love this lift and it is a good conversation piece when we have company over. Lol

I wish I could answer this but I don't know much about actuators.... all I know is when I push the button, it goes up and down. Sorry
