I’ve had my LS 2022 outlander for almost a year now and I love the car. We also have the 2021 CX5. I have three kids (7-14yrs) and live inner Sydney. I drive to my parents on the north coast every school holidays and the car drives beautifully. I read and watched so many reviews prior to purchasing the outlander and I gotta say there is so much nit picking about the car. This is a great car for its price. The interior is spacious and good quality. The third row space is not for adults. If you have 6 foot teenagers then it won’t work for you either. I only use the third row for local driving when we have an extra kid or two in the car for sport and school runs etc. The drive is excellent, plenty of power for inner city roads, drives great on freeways and so easy to park for a large car. I think The warranty is excellent. I much preferred the outlander when test driving over Tucson, CX5 and Kia Sportage. Anyway, just my contribution from someone who actually owns and drives the outlander!
Just about to buy the AWD as a family car for the Mrs with some upgrades included for the kids. The price is a good deal for a 7 seater. The modern features are also amazing for a Mitsubishi. Overall, I'll say it's good value for money.
I have to respectfully disagree about the boot space when the third row is down. We checked out the XTrail, Sportage, RAV 4 and CX5 and the Outlander had the biggest boot space of them with the Sportage coming in a close second. We have ordered the Aspire version and are really looking forward to getting it at the end of June. Keep up the great work with your reviews. B
Have one as a hire car at the moment ... and definitely some niceties in it for a base model (ES). Roomy for passengers, the luggage area is smaller than expected. Agreed about the driving position, so hard to get right, the steering is super vague and is not direct at all (requires a lot of readjustment, especially mid-corner and in roundabouts). Handling is similar to a boat and super soft. It is very underpowered, even for plodding around and the CVT is not responsive and very rubberbandish. Fuel economy is actually decent for this size though for city (currently getting 8L/100km without driving gently). Parking is difficult with that bonnet and so is tight street negotiation. Hard to judge that width across the front, and I have found the turning circle to be horrendously large in comparison to others. Front parking sensors are a must on it as you have no way of telling the distance there either. All-in-all a nice car and comfortable, but for everyday living with it and driving it, unfortunately its a bit of a let-down (as first appearances and expectations were promising) and there are better vehicles out there if you want something that has a lot better driving feel.
7 seat option appears to be a waste of space and money, and with no spare wheel, is there a delete option? Lack of airbags and sitting inside the crush zone is not the place for kids, just a very questionable feature. Review should also include how well the features work. Eg cruise control allows 10kph over speed, therefore a speeding ticket. Climate control goes hot and cold to adjust temp, so need to contantly adjust for comfort.

We just ordered a FWD 7 seater Aspire. How disgusting! 😜 Seriously get a grip! We have had an AWD XTrail for over a decade and have only used it in AWD on about 2-3 occasions.
People like you guys are the reason why companies like this sells cheap craps and stop making good cars ... 2 drive also doesn't mean front wheel drive ...it can be Rear wheel as well ... Like a prosper crossovers ..like what it used to be .... You guys aren't even trying to understand what I was saying ..I didn't say all wheel drive ever ... That option would be great but not in this front wheel drive crap box ...

this car looks beautiful. I saw it parked and can't stop looking. Got some great proportions there
She is beautiful, isn't she?
I agree with these auto shifters
Stop trying to reinvent the wheel 👍👍

Is the drivers seat comfortable on longer drives?
well done, great review.
I cant find the Mi pilot assist option even on the top variant in NZ. Its a big deal for me.
Yesterday I was driving to and from Brisbane and I was averaging 6.4 L/100km.
2021 Outlander ES. 91 Petrol.
You really found a way to complain about a 10 year warranty 😂

It needs a 2 litre turbo. I don't understand why some vehicle makers persist with normally aspirated engines. I'll pass on the Outlander.
The Phev is the version you want. This is the bottom budget friendly version
Lol its doesnt . People aren’t buying a racing car. Its sufficient .

Didn't really pay attention to the car much in this video...
Disgusting ... Front wheel drive 7 seater ...
99% of people would never need more than 2wd... it just makes sense for a lot of people to save some coin and stay with 2wd.
Are you buying it ? lol
