Great video bro. I really appreciate you breaking down how the paddle shift feature is used. I was lost and had no clue on how to actually use them. Now I’m going to start using them in my hellcat.
@@AlexArmendarizSRT yea... put car in track mode... hold down shift paddle ext period...it'll down shift hard.... then let go of paddle and punch it car will still shift itself
As you downshift it will drop down in sequence. For example if you are in 3rd gear and downshift It will shift down to 2nd gear. Simply put you want to shift up at over 5K rpm if you’re on the gas hard you can downshift anytime under 5K the engines computer wont let you downshift if the engine is rotating too fast anyway. Enjoy your car.
I got a 5 speed, I downshift to 4th at 50mph 3rd at 42mph 2nd at 25 and never first, smoother it better, if your downshifting you wanna try to rev match, you can drive a automatic like a manual just gotta know how far you put that foot down is how far it's gonna go on the rpms, can hit all of first then let off at any second and it'll shift to 2nd in any automatic, I get the whole downshift loud roar but when I do that I feel like I'm just hurting my car not gonna lie
Honestly without flooring it it’s definitely transferable but once I lay into the power it took some getting used too. Learning how the car likes to swing the tail in out
@@Moparmayne so a couple of weeks ago another driver and I had a spontaneous understanding on a four lane divide that it was go time. I forgot what kind of car he had, but it was in the same segment as my 200 S. Anyway long story less long, I couldn't shift the paddles fast enough to keep from getting dusted. But had I've been in auto it would have been a different outcome.
Another dope video bro!!! When you down shift does it have wear and tear on your engine vs just using the breaks? Also if your punching it and down shift then hit the gas does it give you a extra boost?
You should upgrade your steering wheel into the LED steering wheels u can customize the material and color of it so u can make it match like your car keep up the work!
Does the switching gears by itself apply to the 2015 hellcats?

Yes sir go crazy bro and stay safe
Put car in track mode.... THEN hold downshift paddle. It'll drop to absolutely lowest gear then punch it. Car will shift itself
So if ur telling me when I wanna do a 40 roll go 40 mph hold downshift and go full force and it will shift and not mess up my trans mission

@@MrSrt4parts nah u tripping car gotta be in D then click the Paddel so u use it in D then it shifts by itself
What about 1st gear paddle mode from a stop will it shift to 2nd automatically?
Love that whine
Only asking because i don’t know but when are you supposed to switch to 2nd gear? and when your slowing down what gear to you drop down to?

Paddle shifter manual mode 1st gear from a stop. Will it automatically shift to 2nd gear at redline.
Adding this video to my watchlist so I can come back in the near future & learn it 💯
Hearing that whine is so nice 😍
I don’t know much about cars but I think that If you downshifting at high speed y gon break something they aren’t replacement for the breaks
Its called engine braking, completely normal
@@Moparmayne like the one big trucks use right?

Is down shifting too early or too late a thing what if you never down shift
Usually not really because it’ll shift itself unless your actually in manual mode
Usually any downshifting under 1500 rpms is considered lugging a engine I keep my rpms around 2k as much as possible
Hope the next gen has on demand AWD like the m5
Man that would shock everyone. But we will see what happens
Beat hard asf
I was thinking you should get some reactions of people when your driving by them down shifting. 😂
Good video bro💪🏾
Do u have to use pattle shifters in the charger?
Is going up a Gear considered a Down Shift?
No that’s y they call it down shift ur going down gear not up
No that would be a upshift
So was your experience from driving a 200 S transferable to the Hellcat or was it a day and night adjustment?

Using the paddle shifters in “D” shifts slower then it would if you are in “S” but automatic will always be faster
Your not bad with the paddle shifters but at 2k rpms you should down shift you really don't wanna push
Yo this is the only video that actually explained it well for me to understand . Thank you bro 🙏
Can u make a video of driving while in top gear at all times no matter if you’re in the hiway free way or in a neighborhood

Imma be honest I would just base the gears off of sound
I’m sure that’s how many do. Same here but some people don’t have that passion to know the sound
run the miles back lmfao
Any issues with your car so far??
If I was to do a 40 roll or 50,60 can I hold down Down shift for 2 seconds to drop to lowest gear and floor it will it mess up my trans
Mopar all day!!
🔥🔥🔥🔥
This video would've been reduced to like 5 minutes..
I’m a kid and I love when you go slow shifting on your own the wines are so amazing
