    Just wanted to say that if you have the money it’s really worth while to invest in a cheap blowtorch to get those bubbles out before adding the dye, you can also use it after you add the dye to the bed but you might need to add a couple drops more of dye afterwards. If you don’t have the money for one you can pull a lot of this bubble out using a toothpick, it takes a lot longer with the toothpick but still worthwhile if you want that really clean final result!

    I really love how this turned out! I'm starting to try this on my discs, about to get worm dip tomorrow, but if you have any dye brand recs, I'm all ears!

      Oooh awesome! I’m using spike it worm dip. I haven’t tried quick coat yet but I’m sure its just as good

      Also I’m using prochem dyes and idye poly as well. I love prochem dyes very much. U get a lot for your money and a handy jar to hold the powder dyes as well. It looks like they added 4-5 colors since this past December which is great to see too! I’m glad they are expanding their colors on their line.

    Excellent video, that disc looks fantastic. I've done a handful of dyes using shaving cream, but decided to pick up some materials for a glue bed after seeing how cool these come out. A few questions I have for you: First, what do you use to make your swirls/pattern with the dye? I thought it looked like you were using some sort of compressed air hose, but later in the video in appears that it might have been a straw or something; could you use something like a toothpick to physically swirl the dye and achieve similar results? Lastly, what colors did you use for this one? I thought I saw yellow, orange, but unsure if that's black or just really concentrated dark blue. Great job and thanks for any info you can share!

      Thank you!
      Colors: prochem bright yellow, bright red, black and I think flame scarlet. That along with idye brown, silver and gunmetal gray I think.
      I have used compressed air regulated down, but using your lungs with a scrap piece of 1/4”airline or a straw works plenty as good, just be mindful of condensation dripping onto the bed.
      You could use a toothpick, that is how pipedreamer79 mixes up his beds. They both create different styles, try both and see how you like it!
      I’m glad to help if you have more questions just ask away.

      Normally I let it dry and toss it out. I started using 9” cake pans and I can get away with using a lot less glue.

    When you use idye poly, how do you mix it? What inside the mixture ? I haven't figured that out yet.

    Love how it turned out! How long do you need to let the disc sit in the glue bed? Is it 12-24 hrs like shaving cream or less?

    • @nowskidyes2740
      @nowskidyes2740  4 роки тому +1

      I try for 24 hours but end up pulling at 20 hours give or take. For a champion plastic I here 48 hours works even better
