I’ve noticed Sam has changed from being very diplomatic about what he says about the flds, now I’ve heard him say warren used perverted power moves and he has referred to the religion as a cult, This must be hard for him cause he believed it all, along with all the other community members, it would be so hard to learn it was all a lie, and the elders were actually hurting them 😢😢😢 Hugs Sam and Mel, your doing great things Your “Babies” are so beautiful 😍

The whole bit about the Native Americans… this is racism, pure and simple. It’s not surprising, given the history, but the fact that they’re so blatant about it…
Not exactly. The Book of Mormon teaches that Native Americans are descendants of the Israelites and are part of God’s chosen people. It also teaches the Christ appeared to native Americans.
Yeah that really is the tip of the blatantly racist iceberg in the FLDS, other conservative Mormon splinter groups, and the LDS generally. They’re pretty unabashed about it
@@wendytravis6427 That's a nice, fair Mormon-esque reply. However, the hard truth is still that they are considered "dark" and cursed. "And he had caused the cursing to come upon them, yea, even a sore cursing, because of their iniquity. For behold, they had hardened their hearts against him, that they had become like unto a flint; wherefore, as they were white, and exceedingly fair and delightsome, that they might not be enticing unto my people the Lord God did cause a skin of blackness to come upon them." In simple English, according to the LDS scriptures, Native Americans were first fair people of the same race as Nephi. Then Nephi's bro got cursed and all of a sudden, these people's skin turned dark to make them unattractive to white people and warn them of their wicked nature. You can twist and turn this however you like but if you read this in the most straightforward interpretation, which is undoubtedly how it was written to be understood, it is in fact pure, blatant racism.
Hi Sam and Melissa. Love your guys channel and how you break down these documentaries based on your lived experiences. Keep up the good work. And Sam it must be surreal for you to see these stories years after leaving the group. Even though you state that your experiences weren’t as bad, you’re still a survivor. Anyway we’ll done guys.
Too groovy to be able to see through Warren and recognize his lethality. So proud of Briel to fight for her freedom and finding her own sovereignty. Keep fighting!
So disturbing. There are so many cults like this and some have nothing to do with polygamy. But they all have that same foundation-the control. I appreciate all these charitable support networks out there, but I think they should join forces…power in numbers-these cults have more in common than not.
Kristyn Decker who rescued Brielle is Christine Brown’s aunt from Sister Wives. She appeared on the episode when they had a speaking panel about polygamy.
Very interesting (and I have watched the Part 2 of Prisoner of the Prophet too. She was very brave to try to escape about 10 times and then manage it. As a wife of Warren J he particularly would not want her leaving. I read in someone else's autobiography that a lot of WJ wives were on prozac as they were required to keep very thin and I suppose it also kept them quiet. That is all horrible. The FLDS before this was not having group marital relations, not marrying girls at 12 in the 1950s and 60s and not taking things to the extremes of Warren J. Warren Jeffs was defective as potential leader from the start and his family ought to have known that and his father. Apparently he was even a busing children under 6 like his daughter Rachel and little boys too.
Thank you for recounting this story and giving further information to 'flesh out the details'. Your work in highlighting the culture and susequent abuses of the peoples of this cult is exemplary. The door thing is interesting. In the UK we have old houses that have doors that open towards the wall because it gave the owners privacy should servants come into a room unannounced. This convention is still seen in modern building too. . So, maybe this was done in the compound for the same purpose, but for sinister reasons.
This is very similar (Brielle leaving multiple times) to someone leaving a very abusive spouse. You're told nobody will believe you and you have nowhere to go, nobody's going to help you. Let me tell you...there is help. Took me 6 tries.
Oh Sam I really feel for you and your family. Somebody needs to investigate every death and disappearance that has occurred in the FLDS, starting with a count of all the current members, and working back in time. At the very least we could compile family trees with the help of those members who have left, and do a welfare check on everybody. Do you know if there is any kind of effort to do that?
Oh good God, seed bearers 🤢🤮 Sam, can you imagine Melissa being bound to a table, * bleep * -ed by another man, and sitting there watching without saying a word? Yes, feel the rage 🤬
Blood atonement is blasphemy. It denies the power of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Any group that claims to believe in God and Jesus Christ but also believes in blood atonement is not Christian.

Okay, this “seed bearer” abuse is literally the plot of the handmaids tale, with a few things swapped. INSANE.
The seed bearer story is false. Brielle is crazy and a liar
@@vjs4539 Dunno who you are, but thank you SO MUCH for talking sense!👏🏼

I absolutely loved the family moment ❤ yes, that is life with kids and you couldn't have handled it better. Thanks for a smile
Did you follow the Lori Vallow case(trial)? I would like to here your opinions on it.
Thanks for letting everyone know what is going on in these groups.

The show Escaping Polygamy, went to the compound in SD. If my memory is correct they took Rachel Jeffs there looking for a sister.
Yes! I was thinking the same thing.
You guys are awesome! I love that you tell people where they can reach out. I hope more and more can escape. ❤️
Hearing these horrific things made me feel for these people and hoping that Sam's family who are still in the faith are okay. Love to you all

Seed bearer... oh my. Diabolical
I’m fascinated with the FLDS……thanks for all the info. Love you guys 😁
His own daughter was violated by him.😢
I so enjoy your channel & info. My 2 30+ year old sons will forever be my babies!!!
What serious sickness has happened to have this behaviour happen..I am continually shocked and shaken by these revelations.Stunning!
You have to go back to Joseph Smith where it ALL began!

Y’all are so great. Love your videos.
My kids are 7 and 4 so we are also moving away from the "baby" phase into the "kid" phase too! Its sad to see them grow up so fast
I love that there is help for those getting out💕
I grew up as a Jehovah’s Witness and no matter what I have the hardest time believing anything negative I hear about them.
Seeing the kids was the best!
Makes me wonder if Warren Jeffs read The Handmaid's Tale and decided to make it happen - just horrific

Enjoy the golden age of parenthood - the no diapers to no cellphones phase! Once they hit age 10 or 11 it’s a big change again!! 😂
Thank you for sharing ❤ i love these videos

Yes, feel the rage 🤬
The only reason why warren went to the clubs and park and football games he was enjoying whatever freedom he had left
I'm curious to know if a man refused to leave. Would they force him to leave physically?
I read that LDS pologamy started when a man would marry his widowed sister in law in the old west to take care of her and her children. Please comment
Your daughter looks just like you so sweet 💕
For real! She is the spitting image of her, like twins but different ages. 😲
You’re free, you just can’t leave 😔escaping polygamy went in 😏
The ladies that live on our street have a baby. There are no men living there, but they do come over and do work on the house for them.
More videos with the kids please!
❤ oh my goodness your little girl is Melissa's mini me

Adorable munchkins!!!
Brielle is not a truthful person. Everyone who knows her, knows that she lies a lot. You can't take anything she says as accurate.
Your kids are cute
Love your blouse! Your kids are so cute! Love to see them ❤
