Kevin. Interesting demo on this REI e-bike and impressive results. You are right on that there are many variables that contribute to the miles you get from a full battery charge. You didn't give us any details on the battery like watts and amps so distance traveled was a pure guess. The bottom line is e-bikes are fun to ride, you get a decent work out and you will ride them further and more often because it's fun! Fyi...Those bike trails on the Mississippi River and the Greenway looked very familiar.

Not a fan of e-bikes in general but I can see benefits to the pedal assist for commuting or those that are challenged. I do have a huge problem with the “electric mopeds” I am seeing on the trails. You make a great video man. I look forward to them. Are you on STRAVA?

Kevin I bought the Specialized Turbo Vado 4.0 SL the reason was 2 fold - 1 it has enough power to assist but not so much it feels like a scooter 2- the SL means super light so for an ebike it’s not too heavy
Omg my Ebike barely pedals without assist..i almost ran out of charge the other day .. never will i let it die lol..my manual bike so much easier actually

I built my ebike I can ride 63 miles at 20 miles an hour but my bike can go 60 mph it also charges on down hills
