I wish he would post a link where I could watch without his ruining the drama. Often, he even tells you in the title who will win: "Carlsen's Immortal Queen!" You already know who won.

Having witnessed both Fischer and Carlsen, I feel doubly privileged. Both are outstanding in their eras. Unstoppable, merciless and artful and inspirational in equal measure.
I think Duda’s Nerves were absolutely wrecked from the previous game and he Knew Magnus came prepared, so my best guess is he tried to take magnus OUT of his preparation, but he didn’t, he played right into his hands. Sometimes I think people trust magnus too much, like when he offers an obviously poisonous pawn, or when he leaves pieces hanging like this he makes them think the obvious and best move is something he prepared for.. so they trust him and don’t play it.. I’m certain it has to do with the Presence magnus brings to the table.. shits probably more intimidating than when Elon Musk meets his kids science teacher.. like what do you do? Talk about a baking soda and food dye volcano to that guy..?! Yeah.. suuurrreee..

At 4:39 why not just push the pawn forward instead of capture, not allowing the breakthrough?! And at 8:53 why not gxf6. Closing rooks file and blocking both bishop's diagonal, and get 3 connected pass pawns?!! Can anyone explain this?
If at 3:26 people thought Rg1 like me then the intermezzo for black is Ne5 which attacks the bishop with check and Nf7 consolidates the safety of the Bg5
the "all out exchange" variation doesn't work: in the end White has Nb5, and the d6 cannot be saved. If Ke7 trying to protect it, then White just moves the Bishop from d3, adding a Rook to the attack, and Black does not have another piece to defend the pawn, their position falls apart. Of course Black could simply follow ...Nxd5 Be7 with Nxe7, and remain up a pawn...

Excellent game and analysa but on 2.10 I don't get it how black can save the d6 pawn after Bc2 and Nb5. It looks that on d6 black will see white's knight or rook.
In the rejected line at 3:30 you say white is worse but after white to move and create a battery with rook to g2 what is black going to do to save his bishop and the pawn in front of his king?
@@stunny89 Be3 hits the Rook and the Knight from the previous move protects the pawn so the Queen can't take. Black would have to waste another move to protect the Rook.
