Mike is just so down to earth. His school swing was awesome, yet he still plays it down. Can't quite say the same about the vid though... tons of guys rake with a parallel bat swing, and angle is 100% dependent on where the pitch is at... but y'all know that already.

So I don't know how much you value defense but basically a 30 point swing on trout's and Mays WRC+ make me feel like those numbers are too good to pass up. Mantle was fast. He wasn't a bad defender. So I would take Mantle over Mays any day.
This is insane and totally revolutionary. There is so much to hitting and i hope using this will help my 12 year old. There is so much that a kid has to put into his swing that it can be overwhelming. I hope this works as well as I think it will cuz my little man is struggling and it's in his head.
Ky J1s there are so many variables to hitting. Try to eliminate as many as possible. And remember, the two most important things to hitting are vision and timing

Use it if you are comfortable with it or dnt but the reason for using one is purely timing up the baseball. Some hitters pump their bat. So many different approaches but it seems most good hitters finish the same. I told him that he needs to find what is comfortable for him and stick with it. Constantly changing it will give constantly changing results.
No matter what you do with your stance, all good hitters bring their hands back while taking their stride, knob of the bat pointing at the catcher, you can see it in Trout's swing
Dont worry about this at 12. Haha, it will make it worse. Alot of time its the mental side of starting the weight transfer and seeing the ball well and deciding to swing at the right moment with a confident swing. It takes that one hard hit ball to feel it and understand it. Its not just being aggressive, that alone can make it worse, its the aggressive approach of hunting fastball along with confidence that gets kids on the right track. Timing and confidence turns into seeing the ball well. Its at that moment when things seem to slow down and almost seems easy. Dont throw to much at him, just work on confidence and timing. A good weight transfer on every pitch is a big key.

Freeze it at :38. That's the Teacherman move all the way. His bathead has travelled down fast and his right hand is facing up. Make that move with you hands right now and see if it isn't the Teacherman move. It totally is. The "real vs feel" principle is why people miss it.. People don't think they are doing that, plus when the full swing is attached it doesn't look like you're doing that. You have to look closely. It's there for the really great swings almost every time.
Vertical angle ? Verticle angle is based on if it is a pitch at your knees (steep angle) or at top of zone (flat angle). You do not practice the vertical angle. This is kind of stupid.

What was Jeter’s launch angle? I don’t feel it was as steep as Trout’s but IDK. He was a master at inside out swing and lived mostly in right center.

Yes it does because you arent going to have a negative vertical bat angle of -20 to -30 degrees if it is a pitch in the upper part of the strike zone.
