Something's going to give at some point. Israel could do the reasonable thing and work to build trust, to say "We're sorry about what we've done to you all, we promise to make amends." and then try to make amends. I have no problem with Israel's right to exist but they need to solve the Palestinian issue in a fair way. Whatever that solution looks like I have no idea. All I know is what is going on isn't right and it breaks my heart 💔. All I'm asking is that Israel tries to make the wrongs right, to find solutions that Palestine will accept and if they reject them then keep at it until they agree on something. Let's face it, the Jews aren't going anywhere no matter what and neither are the Arabs.
The rule used to be, if you won a war the land you took is yours. After WWI the victors created a Mandate system where people with a claim, make their argument to appeal for sovereignty. The victors do not take land, but international law transfer title by treaty not force of arms. In 1919 the Arabs (on Feb 6, 1919) and Jews (on Feb 27, 1919) made their claims and supported a Jewish and an Arab state (Fizel-Wieseman letter.) The Arabs got Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq. The Jews got what is today Israel and Jordan. There is nothing more just, more peaceful than that. However the Arabs then became violent and to appease them the British gave them the Trans-Jordan (eastern Palestine) and after that the violent Arabs also wanted the western Palestine which was Jewish sovereignty by international law, and treaty. If violence is what determines soverignity then Israel owns the land it controlled by the end of the 1948 and 1967 wars. If not, then Israel has sovereignty by moral right, peaceful means, international law and treaty. Let me know if you want the details of international law and treaty.
