I like how these videos are a minute, to the point, systematic, and aren't relegated to "Shorts".
I hadn't thought of that. I barely even think of YT's Shorts.
Every 30 days I click the little "x" that makes YT Shorts go away for the next 30 days.
I agree, I despise shorts for some irrational reason😊
@@gorbalsboy It's not irrational at all. There's no volume slider, there's no way to jump to different parts of the video and shorts will restart when they finish whether you want them to or not. A video being a short also removes it from your normal feed. They're just a worse user experience in every way.
Much easier to see yeah
Reminds me of that line from the 1989 Batman film "Where does he get those wonderful toys?" Makes me wonder what else they have in that toy chest they have.
Okay I kind of hope your comment gets Othias to dress up like batman for his next sh... fun-post! 🤠
I love these 1 minute videos that she does short sweet and straight to the point
I love guns. Especially the classics. I can’t afford them but Mae provides an excellent alternative. I collect the intro still photos. Thanks Mae.
Always a good day when you start with a Minute of Mae.
That piece is spotless!
I like the Mauser-style broom handle
It's my favorite 1 minute on all YT channels!!👌👌👏👏👍👍🙌🙌🌹🌹
Sweet good job Mae
No ejector rod? Guess the Dutch thought six shots is enough for most light duties. You can always pummel your enemies with the handle if you run out of fresh rounds.
The Dutch officers carried a short sword called "Klewang" for that very purpose.
"Zes schoten en een vrije worp"
It's amazzing how much information can be. Packed into a one minute video. Keep them ciming Mae
I don’t understand the fascination with British revolvers ( this good ol Kentucky boy loves old shotguns mainly) but it’s interesting to watch about them and will support yall any way I can, keep up the good work and I will be watching for the next minute of Mae 😊
You say that the Dutch would use the money they saved on making the gun smaller, elsewhere? THE MONEY THEY SAVED!? We are stingy for a reason, Mae!!!
Use the money to reclaim the sea! The ocean floor is rightful Dutch land
a great minute.have a good one.
Wonder if this was issued to Dutch officers during the early stages of world war 2
Most likely yes.
This, along with many other sidearms were issued in numbers.
Probably, considering the Dutch never replaced all their sidearms by WW2
Pretty scant but they did see some service during WW2.
4th tier reservists
Or recalled officers
Thank you.
You get SIX shots, who needs to reload quickly after that?
Great little video
I don't think they were big on ergonomics back in the 19th century.
With most Rod Ejector style revolvers, it's easier and quicker to use a pencil or dowel to punch out the empties.
American Colt and Remington revolvers are the exception with fast spring loaded rods
Thanks
Great shootin' - thank you!💯👌👍!
I honestly kind want one, foreign revolvers are always interesting.
Thank you. I was curious how that one felt in the hand.
9.4mm Dutch, that’s got to be hard to find. What is the most obscure cartridge you’ve fired on a video?
Very old world vibe.
👍👍👍
That smooth cylinder looks strange
Whoot whoot
Amazing! How do you find all these guns?
I would take this Dutch to Tahiti rather than the other one
Alligators are hungry for rhythm
What is the lever just above the grips for?
If Ruger made revolvers in 1873.
Double action in 1873. A way off from being perfect, but an interesting piece.
I said this on the last Dutch revolver video, but man this thing is so weird looking compared to the (imo) much better looking Single Action Army of the same year. I can't help but feel the Colt was a better design in pretty much every way honestly
Except for the Colt being single action only
@@TenaciousTrilobite Woah, I know you. Hope you're doing well, love your channel. Yeah, the Colt is single action only, but in 1873 alot of people considered the difference to be minimal, since the prevailing shooting stance was one handed, carefully aimed shots.
Is 9.5 inches like 18 13/36 mm?
What if you're in the trench & lose the screwdriver. The only hing screwed is you.
Who would make a revolver with no ejector?
Still better than the Reichsrevolver.
If it ain't Dutch, it ain't much.
61st
They would've been better off spending their money on Colt 1873 Army.
The look of distaste is notable.
First
Mae is cute!

mommy
Guns are machines. Machines are made by engineers. Engineers use metric. Use Metric.
None of that "inches" or "pounds" nonsense
Tell that to the .50 cal.
@@BoneistJ American arrogance aside he is exactly correct nobody uses those
9.4 Dutch is that just under 10mm? That’s awsome
