Honestly, for this scene I just rendered out a 4k res .exr, with 8 antialiasing samples and r.screenpercentage 150. That’s it. Super minimal. It’s all lighting and that ray traced reflection setting in your post process volume.
I really appreciate this style of tutorial. It's quick, you hit the important technical details still, but we don't need to watch you fiddle for 15 minutes on two dials.
This video is so perfect Clint. The content, tempo, breakdowns, atmosphere, before and after, thoughts and overall layout. Super inspiring really! The only thing I could mention is that left to right sweep at 12:16 with the color grading. That was an eye opening moment that passed too quickly for my taste. I went back three times and even paused the video with the splitter in the middle to study the difference the grading makes. My suggestion would be to sweep the splitter a little slower and perhaps even have it loop-bounce once? I'm only mentioning this because that little moment made me audibly say "wow" as I was sitting on my couch watching this :) Other than that, keep up the good work Clint. You're doing beautiful things here :)
I'm graduating with my Bachelors in Game Design and February and even though it's not the same thing that you do, I'm so glad I came across your videos. The passion you have for your craft is incredible and it's so enjoyable to watch these videos and learn from them at the same time. Thank you!
Just watched the 3D environment with the door, and now this. Very cool and informative. As someone who is looking getting into UE, learnt so much. The step by step tutorial is very helpful, so is that you are showing the external sites you use too. Thank you very much
I’m speechless. You're a master of your craft, and it's fascinating to watch you begin with a blank page and gradually work your way up to the finished piece. Never stop doing this stuff, much love 🖤
I love the speed and length of this video, Im not a graphic designer and will probable not ever make something like this but I still like watching what others can do!
I love your long videos also but maan, you killed this short one. So on point and perfectly filled with wisdom. Keep them coming, Clint. Really appreciated and motivating.
Nice one! I am CONSTANTLY telling people how great UE is and to use photos / past experiences as the reference for their scenes. It's a way to quickly create something that has soul / heart to it and that makes all the difference.
Jaw dropping. This is inspiring me. The only thing that gives it away for me are the people, how they are over animated. They very much have that NPC GTA vibe where everyone is doing something, whereas in reality, probably most people would just stand there and talk and maybe 2 or 3 people would change position, enter or leave the dock. I guess less would have been more in that instant. But again, I love this
to tears. How beautiful! And how beautifully you tell everything, both for beginners and at the same time for professionals! And how easily you can do everything in different software, just thoughts are realized. IT WAS GREAT TO SPEND AND LEARN WITH YOU! Thank you.
Mercy me, thank you so much for sharing your talent, knowledge, and art! It's a joy to watch, and so incredibly helpful when learning to make art in UE5
Thanks for the tutorial. Really wholesome. I just feel bad for that one guy who's been standing on the second floor all through the party and when the party was over - he was still standing...
second time I watched this vid - was thinking 'this is dumb' when you were describing the controls for UE5, but then that camera sensitivity slider is something I have needed for months!
Sup Clint, hope you and your fam and friends from Corridor all had a wonderful thanksgiving and have a happy holiday season my dude. Thanks for another dope video!
I miss seeing you on CD but I LOVE what you've been up to since branching out on your own. Every challenge inspires such mind blowing art it's super inspiring thanks man!
I'm happy I found your page, I like how detailed you explain your work flow. I'm new to all of these, I will know a lot of good plugins just from your video too. Thank you 🙌🏼
I'm so happy you also advocate for adding film grain to digital renders! It's unfortunate that UA-cam will compress the hell out of the grain, but at least it looks good on our own computers lol. Got any tips for saving that grain from the UA-cam compression algorithm without adding too much grain upfront?
Incredible work. Only one think was missing for me the sound effects. The sound of the water, the seagulls and maybe the sound of the buoys. Then would be perfect.
Dude! I have been looking for someone who's workflows are paced properly to learn from for so long! Thank you for the video. You literally cut my time down to almost nothing, which is crucial to getting ideas out and keeping them flowing. Liked, subbed, and rang the bell. Godspeed
Thank you for such a peaceful tutorial. It was super inspiring in a kind teacher-esque way, and I am hopping into UE5 for the first time after putting it off for a while.
At 3:05 just bought Ultra Dynamic Sky for 23.60 Euros, but unable to download and install that addon. There is no download button. What now? Please help. Thanks.
Such a fantastic video really inspired me to try this out for my self. Never ever did something like this, but I just got so inspired and amazed. You made it look so understandable that even someone with zero knowledge can do it, if they just try and that is exactly what I gona do! Thanks for the inspiration, Clint!
Wow.... What a inspirational video Clint, i was trying to find inspiration for my learning process in this digital art. Thanks for your channel, its realy like having a digital guru with you all along. Sorry about my english, i'm from Chile. Thanks Master Pwnisher!!!
Very nice. Thanks for the tutorial. FYI - the moon's illuminated face always points toward the sun (downward at night). If the moon's face is pointing up - it's daytime!
Love it! I'm learning UE and can't wait to start doing stuff like this. I used to use cinema 4D too (amateur level), but I don't have de license anymore, so now I want to learn a little bit of Blender to create something if needed
i love it! Ive always wanted to learn how to produce these environments for say stream tittle cards our intro outro stuff on videos. Cant wait to give it a crack.
😭 thank you so much Clint… there’s a place that was special to my heart and I would love to recreate it.. for some reason, this makes me kinda sad and now I have tears in my eyes.. 😢
Really solid breakdown @pwnisher ! I take a very much similar approach. Keep up the great work man - I look forward to seeing more quick cuts like this on your channel! ;)
So inspiring. I'm definitely going to look into environment creation in UE5. No experience will make this a long learning process though. I just need to find the right tutor.
can you show render queue settings for realistic renders

Yo thanks for the legit helpful feedback! I'll keep it in mind for the next Christmas environment video i'm working on as we speak.
@@pwnisher Christmas sound very fun, looking forward to it
This is probably the most beautiful breakdown video I’ve seen on YT yet! Both that final result and process was crafted very well Clint. 👏
I see you! are you planning on making a unreal bad tutorial next? 😂

No joke! I took one look and was like uh-uh! Hahahah! Hope to see you at camp next year Klay!

Its so crazy how fast computer art has developed
Right!?
I think it’s crazy how much skill he has 😇 I mean the tools are good but there are nothing without a good crafter 🥰
I've been in computer graphics since 1980 and its been a f**k of a long wait for Unreal Engine!
Since 1980...? Are you joking?
I was born in 2003, and I cannot believe in this words...
And then There's Midjourney.....
which says _fk you_ to artists...
mannnn!!!! PWNISHER for the win!!! what a breakdown!! my favorite part....the seaweed and rowing boat creation steps in c4d back into ue5
Heck yeah let’s go!!
I love that movie montage at the end
Beautifully done Clinton. As always.
Fascinating.
Truly a master at work, also I'm gonna use this opportunity to finally get into Unreal, thanks for that.
This video is going to send me down a rabbit hole I can't wait to get into!
Thank you, You have the absolute best tutorials. My understanding of 3d art has grown so much in such a short time after finding your channel.
It's great to hear your story behind the scene!!!

I really think you did the right thing going off on your own like this. This is super cool and chill!
So glad you’re enjoying the vids :)
As a Blender user from years, I decide to start something with Unreal. The one main reason was: FOG SCENES! In Unreal this just works amazing!
Excellent video. I love to create environments and I’m all in for this type of content.
Thanks for everything you do king! Whenever I have creative slump or just a life slump your videos give me such a lift!!
That means so much! Glad to help out 🙏🏼🤙🏼
