AaronP11 Hi Aaron, thanks for your comment. Glad you liked the video. A stick is a good idea. I always use my hands and hearing to guide myself. Somehow my hands missed the wall but not my head... blessings, Piers
You have a lovely way of speaking and sharing my friend. Thank you very much for your calm, positive, generous, compassion. Lovely to watch this the day before I enter a very extended darkness retreat. Thank you also for sharing how you did this with your wife. What a lovely idea and experience to share as well as to strengthen the bond. Keep on my friend!
Hi Shindy, Thank you for your comment. Yes, you can do it right at home. My wife and I have now done 3 darkness retreats at home... Many blessings, Piers
Hi Kyle, Great question - I find that if I acclimatize gradually then I am okay. But yes - straight into the sunshine would probably not be so good... Blessings, Piers
Hey great vid. Did you feel like hallucinations visuals were possible on this meditation? I did vipassana and I felt the struggle of sitting still as a battle with my mind that when won unlocked certain chemicals
Hi Chris, yes the hallucinations are possible although it is not something that I seek. I learned in my Buddhist monastic life to not get attached to visions or specific phenomena. It might happen but then I let go of it. Yes, it is likely the more time you spend in darkness at it does release DMT. Many blessings, Piers
Great video! I would use a guide stick so I won’t walk into walls.
