  • Local and state governments have been given the green light to keep or implement public camping bans with penalties like fines and/or jailtime. That's after the high court ruled it's not "cruel or unusual punishment.'

    Isn’t it more expensive to house someone in jail than it is to just allow a safe spot for them to pitch a tent?
    I mean it’s not like you’re giving them 3 meals a day or anything else

    It is not illegal to be homeless, it is illegal to pitch your tent on the sidewalk though.

    This is just dumb. Your going to ticket people that are homeless because they can't afford a place to live or jail them. This is just stupid and has been since Desatin signed the bill. He has done noting to help the problem and he thinks this is the answer,just stupid !

    Why do I never hear about the drugs. Many people refuse the help because they can't take their meth with them to the shelter.
