I own one of these. I almost set my jeans on fire with it when I forgot to lock it out and accidentally turned it on in my pocket. Burnt a hole in my jeans. Always a good look at work when you're walking around with smoke coming out of your trousers. Good thing I wasn't wearing track pants.
Why are these manufacturers starting to introduce non-replacable batteries. This is a red flag and deal breaker for me. Do they just expect us to throw the flashlight in the bin if the batteries expire, like an iPhone or something
Maybe to control what cells are used in the lights, convenience for a general user. I prefer a replaceable battery of course. I think it's possible to replace this one - I removed the screws on the tailcap, but there's glue holding it down. A bit of leverage may open it but didn't want to break mine. I'll provide Imalent some feedback about replaceable cells.
hi ive purchased the imalent bl50 edc just 3 weeks ago. loved the sturdy build and durability. the matte finish is unlike anything. unfortunately since yesterday it doesn't turn on anymore just blank screen and the buttons are irresponsive. Could you please advise what i can do about this?
Hi, I'm assuming you've done the obvious stuff like check it's changed, not locked. If so, you will still be under warranty so you'll need to contact imalent. Sucks that you're having issues just 3 weeks in.
BL50 sure feels like the successor to the LD70. It's only slightly bigger, but has longer battery life, better screen display, and a new UV function.
Much better option IMO. 18350 is only good for lower modes, but will drain rapidly on turbo/high.

I'm always paranoid about this happening 😂 I had some turn on but felt the heat from it so avoided any damage.

Too well made and not cheap enough to do that.

Please make video compare imalent BL50 vs LD70 . Whos better .. starting low lumens until turbo mode .
I'd get the BL50 - better runtime and sustained brightness. Has an 18650 battery.
What light can you recommend that's set up for replaceable 18650 batteries?
There's so many. Depends what type of light you're looking for?
Powertac m5 gen 3 ceiling bounce test please
I'll look into it mate.
Looks good! Also, first :)
Yep! I like that they've used a proper 18650 cell this time.
ya ok min won't tern on well thanx youtube wast of 80 dollars.
It might still be in warranty if you bought it within the last year. Try contact Imalent?
this is a cool one
I don't like these, because when they fail imalent won't send you a new one.
That's unfortunate that I've heard this from more than one person.
