I know it's an old vid but i have a hack that i tried if anyone is afraid of the silver being too dark. I tried 2 other silvers in the past and ended up with horrible swamp gray, and I assumed this would do the same.
So anyway, i started with light blonde with stubborn orange tones (yes i already tried wella toners and purple shampoos. The orange was a stain from a year of doing copper)
I know they say dont mix colors but i mixed 1 part of the loreal silver, with 2 parts extra-light blonde (same brand, same ratio with the developer) to create a diluted silver blonde.
Happy to say, it came out great. My hair looks like your "after" photo. The ash will probably fade but hopefully the orange will be gone for good.
Thanks for doing a video on this shade! There are so few...* For anyone wondering, this shade works great for toning brassy blondes, (even orangey brass) but it will fade to a much darker blonde as it washes out. So be warned if you want to keep a lighter shade of blonde (beached, or platinum, etc). You may end up having to use Color Oops or re-bleaching to go lighter again. Great as a toner tho! I do recommend for darker blondes struggling with brass.

This color looks great on you. :) I just saw an ad for this the other day and was so excited to see a permanent color in gray/silver. I'm hoping for a little less upkeep than the constant toning. Can't wait to try this and am keeping an eye out for your updates.

Most of the comments are old, but worth a shot: Any ideas on how this shade would look if there is baby blue tones still in the hair? Grabbed this shade to go back to a "natural" color for work, but still have some stubborn blue I can't get out and didn't want to risk bleaching again. :/
thanks for posting this! i've had trouble finding other reviews on this product. the color is more gray than a "soft silver blonde" but i want a medium/dark gray anyways, so hopefully this is the product for me!
quick questions: did you do any toning before applying it? and did you find it pretty easy to apply? my hair is short (slightly above shoulder length) but very thick, so doing hair dye myself can be a pain in the ass. i'm hoping that i can just separate my hair into sections and easily lather it in.
glad you found it helpful! I didn't do any toning before and it was a super water like texture so it spread easily, but almost too easily.
Love this color. I think if you weren't so blonde it wouldn't have come out as dark. Looks good on you.

If you have light colored hair and want just a hint of silver or you want to tone you're blonde, leaving a dye like this on for 5 or 10 minutes instead of the recommended 20 minutes it will come out perfect

Yes! I bleach the roots first to match the rest of the blonde and then i dye it all gray :)

The shade picture/swatch for every hair dye is done on either white hair or black hair depending on how it's meant to be used. You have to look at the side to get a better idea of how it's actually going to look. You probably had dark blonde hair when you used it because your results look like the one on the box for dark blonde hair
It's more about the fact her hair is fine and looked bit dry. Different hair types take different ly.

I only touched up my roots with my favorite l'oreal absolute platinum dye, but the rest of the length of my hair was all the previous blonde.

I JUST lightened my hair with Feria Extreme Platinum and left it on for 75 minutes and it is pale pumpkin orange except where the color had already been lifted! Bleaching isn't dying. Just fyi so cosmetologist won't giggle behind your back. When you think about it lifting colour out of hair is the opposite of dying hair. Dying hair is depositing colour into the hair. So I just want to let you know that because I have cosmetologist friends comment and I used to be licenced and we always laugh at people who called bleaching or lightening or lifting colour out as dyeing your hair blonde. 😜🤪😝 I hope this came off with the intention I meant. Just wanted you to know so maybe if everyone imparts wisdom onto you, your UA-cam channel will grow and you'll make lots of money as a young girl! You've got the personality! So just think of this as a mother telling her daughter's friend something to help her, for example😘

Could you mix this with a blonde dye to make it a little less of a dark grey?
When it comes to actual dyes like this, i don't think thats the best idea because mixing chemicals can be extremely dangerous. But if you have tried any hair color treatments (ones like colored conditioners) those you could dilute it with regular condition to make the gray lighter.
You would just leave it on for less the half the time to get that.
That is silver metallic, not gray 😆 Pkg. says your results can and will vary🤷🏼♀️It is very very pretty, tho!

in just did this today and it came out gray too, i only left itin 5 minutes
It definitely different than the picture on the box, but it did eventually fade to that color after several washes. I didnt mind the gray though and i enjoyed it during all the fading
@@LaurenLex i washed my hair with clarifying shampoo same day and it lightened up a little. so im swure it will fade a bit
